However, this GE takes too long like three months to issue any key documents such as birth, death, marriage certificates, passports, and work permits today. This reflects that the efficacy of services and the satisfaction of citizens is questionable. Hence, the main objective of the research was to investigate the turnaround strategy implementation in GE. Adopting the qualitative descriptive research design, questionnaires administered to the management and staff members, and interviews conducted with clients, thematic analysis has been undertaken. Findings reveal that the turnaround strategy did improve service efficacy and citizenry satisfaction for some time but there was a relapse. Recommendations include the adoption of customer service strategies along with the revival of the turnaround strategy and top management new team who can introduce with fresh ideas, staff training with constant monitoring, and control measures.","PeriodicalId":247559,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Project Management and Productivity Assessment","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121342879","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Twenty-two leasing companies were selected according to simple random sampling method. Average aggregate productivity of firms over the period was only 24.17%. Average input and output technical efficiencies were 81.2% and 91.1% respectively. By changing the scale of operation, firms can increase their efficiency level by 20.43% to reach maximum productive scale size. The problem of firms lie in scale and mix efficiencies which implies that firms are yet to achieve economies of scale and scope. The firms are not producing or generating their outputs at appropriate proportions and are weak in innovation & proliferation of new services. Return on asset is significantly associated with scale efficiency EPS is significantly related to most efficiency measures. In most of the cases profitability indicators are weakly positively related with efficiency measures.","PeriodicalId":247559,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Project Management and Productivity Assessment","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127468083","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different literature support efficient performance of road infrastructure projects is essential for economic growth and development of the country, and data indicate that there is a high range of new construction of road coverage in Addis Ababa. Despite the growth of new road construction there is decline of road maintenance projects and there are different reasons mentioned as factors that affect road maintenance project management performance. Thus, the aim of this study was to assess approaches to improve road maintenance projects management practice by tackling the challenges for future practices. The results indicated that, even though inadequate funding has higher factor that influence the performance of road maintenance project management, there are other factors such as no privatization of road maintenance work and lot of paper work had significant effects on the performance of road maintenance project management practice.","PeriodicalId":247559,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Project Management and Productivity Assessment","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125418064","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Applying proposed methodology, a set of duration modifiers to calculate the optimistic, most-likely and pessimistic duration values under uncertainty are calculated. To elaborate the methodology, a simulated bridge project with ten risk factors affecting activities duration is presented. Proposed model contributes to knowledge that could help minimize the schedule overrun and improve risk mitigation strategies through providing risk-based duration estimates instead of discrete values. Advantages of the developed approach compared to existing models include (1) considering the combinatory effect of multiple risk factors on activity duration, (2) accounting for uncertainty in experts’ evaluations by employing the interval-valued fuzzy numbers, and (3) utilizing a discrete fuzzy weighted average algorithm which avoids creation of incorrect fuzzy membership functions.","PeriodicalId":247559,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Project Management and Productivity Assessment","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114648925","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In Chile, there are integrated operations centers at the project level. The implementation of state-of-the-art technology has encountered problems such as the lack of a business perspective co-constructed in a political-technical system that breaks with the rigidity of the usual criteria and practices. The resistance to the redistribution of power so as not to perceive these centers as an operational anomaly to overcome the preference to operate manually is generating doubt of their real contribution of value. A transformation cannot be imposed but must be co-created. The knowledge of the trade union networks opens to the company culture possibilities of action that, in the face of a paradigmatic change, emerge to constitute value. This work shows the knowledge strategies to turn unions into cognitive assets to achieve success in the implementation of COR.","PeriodicalId":247559,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Project Management and Productivity Assessment","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121972369","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Project portfolio management offers processes, tools, and knowledge that help the global alignment of different organizational levels with business. In terms of project portfolio management, the causes of failure can be quite diverse. The development of a tool, namely, the X-matrix can help organizations to define and structure strategic objectives, projects, metrics, and those responsible. This work intends to understand the benefits of applying the X-matrix, both in terms of strategic planning and in project portfolio management. The case study carried out at “Company Q\" confirms its applicability from the planning to the implementation of the strategy.","PeriodicalId":247559,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Project Management and Productivity Assessment","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129140269","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Researchers and practitioners need to assess where nations are in terms of their supply chain management maturity level by identifying gaps in both practices and research. This paper aims to analyze the supply chain body of knowledge in the Indonesian context to contribute to the collection of knowledge of supply chain management in Indonesia. A structured content analysis was used to assess research papers published in English and Indonesian in peer-reviewed and accredited journals. The results proved the lack of research in the Supply chain management area within the Indonesian context. Future research guidelines were also presented as a result of this study.","PeriodicalId":247559,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Project Management and Productivity Assessment","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128048349","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The large infrastructure developed should be automated and monitored according to the most recent advances in the field. It implies a systemic conception of the operation to allow the remote control of communications and connectivity of the organization, making possible its coordination, cohesion, and management. The foregoing requires the implementation of an integrated technological model, which includes semi-autonomous operations from an integrated operations and control centre, but for this to happen, the entire organization needs to be adjusted. We propose a systemic model based on the control of the Organizational Waste (Variety No Required VNR). To reduce the loss of value (waste) need to evaluate and correct the incoherence in the decision-making processes, break in the continuity of the information flows by poorly designed organizational structures and by the elevated risk in redundancy values because of the disconnection between these.","PeriodicalId":247559,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Project Management and Productivity Assessment","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127132802","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study examined the factors influencing and moderating the use of ERP systems. The research variables' hypothetical relationships and moderation analysis were examined through factor analysis and partial least squares structural equation modeling. This study suggests that specific factors significantly influence and moderate the employees' system use. The research results could serve as a reference for vendors when planning the implementation of an ERP system.","PeriodicalId":247559,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Project Management and Productivity Assessment","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130211111","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper takes the contrasting position that the project organization is developed by individuals with a specter of competences, strong and weak sides and relations to other people and organizations. The storyline presents a case study from a real-life project developing a new culture institution in Norway over a period of 10 years. Data was gathered ex-post by two researchers through interviews and document studies. The paper first defines key concepts and then presents an analytical framework for the purpose of analyzing the roles in this case story. It gives new insight to the roles as project manager and project executive. The story illustrates the importance of continuity and persistence in the role as project executive. These issues are relevant in future projects given the growing size and complexity seen in projects and the focus on stakeholder value that is prominent in project literature.","PeriodicalId":247559,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Project Management and Productivity Assessment","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126404207","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
