The author describes the changing agro-industrial economic activity, the importance of capital, capital structure and the position of the food industry enterprises listed on the Stock Exchange in Warsaw. The financial condition of the food industry is dependent on the rational management of funds that can be invested in a variety of ways and thus increase the capital. The paper presents that the relatively good situation of the food industry is caused in particular by the fact of production companies having some of the best economic results across the country. The value of production sold is presented; that every year has achieved better results. Capital expenditures also recorded an increase, according to foreign investors the best regions for investment are those located in central and South-West Poland. Analyzed data suggests that the financial condition of food industry companies improves due to better financial liquidity and lower rate of financial liabilities. The potential of food industry companies in Poland is enormous. The paper starts with the definitions of public finances and economic crisis and also a brief description of Romania’s economy, continuing with a deeper analysis of the determinants and symptoms of the recession in the country, as well as the perspectives for further development. The financial assessment of Romania’s situation in the broader EU context can be understood by looking at the GDP and the country’s economic activities in relation to it, and by reviewing the information supplied by the National Bank of Romania and others institutions and selected literature. According to Eurostat, the disparity reaches on average 16% in the European Union. Worldwide, the problem has caught the attention of the law makers and activists while in Poland a public debate about the pay gap is only now beginning to g ain in popularity . The Polish Central Statistical Office is the key body that releases the information about the earnings, used here to investigate the problem of sex-based income disparity. Despite the availability of the statistical data however, not much research has been done so far. Herein, we present the statistical analysis regarding the pay gap between male and female doctors, nurses and midwives in Poland. The research employed the regression analysis and the following factors were taken into account: sex, age, work experience, profession and size of the city. Is conditioned by different motives, carries both costs and benefits. The article allows you to answer the question what is the meaning for the processes of internationalization is our country's membership in the European Union. Since 2004, the Polish entry into the European Union can be noted, growing Polish companies in foreign markets. Among them are the agro-food business. They become more and more competitive, due to modern manufacturing technology and good reputation of Polish food. Studies include the years 2000-2014 and allow you to observe changes in the geographic structure of the export agro-food products. Since accession to the EU is the rapid growth of exports, especially within the European countries. Increase the competitiveness of national companies was possible thanks to the inflow foreign direct investment. Funds and grants from the EU allowed many Polish businesses to gain significant and abroad. Given the epidemiological trends is necessary to develop advanced technologies in the medical and pharmaceutical industries. Only innovative solutions offer a chance for a battle with disease, for example, with tumors which are one of the leading causes of death in Europe. This approach perfectly illustrates the strategy known as open innovation, according to which companies should learn from external sources by combining complementary ideas for its ongoing operations. The pharmaceutical industry has a significant impact on the functioning of not only the economy, but it is also closely linked to the health sector, and thus affects the level and quality of life of societies. In this context it becomes particularly important to seek solutions that will ensure the free flow of knowledge and access to highly specialized techniques, which in turn have a positive impact on the health of citizens.Analysis of the functioning of the pharmaceutical clusters is based on case study cluster Nutribiomed. Destabilization of global markets and the economic recession that began with the collapse of Lehman Brothers meant that the standard monetary policy emerged ineffective in combating the crisis. The article shows how two major central banks of the world that is, the FED and the ECB, through modifying the existing instruments of monetary policy and the introduction of completely new tools tried to restore liquidity in the financial markets, after the standard monetary policy instruments have been insufficient and ineffective.
