These technologies accompany us during our rest and entertainment and enable fast and easy communication across vast distances. Moreover, they are used in education and science and control systems around us allowing easier design and construction of these systems. However, they cannot be taken as the only one perfect and best technology. Our research and experience in education of technical subjects shows that they cannot replace the work with real systems and models. In fact, no simulation or animation, even the most perfect one, can fully replace reality. Nevertheless, reality properly completed with animations or simulations offers many possibilities that were previously unthinkable. It is very important in education to show proper interdisciplinary relationships which are the true image of the real world. Also, it is essential for pupils and students to acquaint themselves with the practical problems from their practice. They have accustomed to computer design and project and assembly documentation and they understand technical documentation. Further, they have realized that these are direct images of real systems and they have learned to create and use them. At our department, we have focused on those issues. Students profit from acquired knowledge and skills in one subject that can be used in other subjects. It is considered to be a very useful tool by many professional organisations, working groups, projects and it is the leading topic of many conferences and workshops. These initiatives drive the development of e-portfolio and enhance its using with new technologies in education. By their activities - studies and methodical support - initiatives directly influence governments and especially education practice. The very important result is improving frequency of using eportfolio during learning process and verification of effectiveness of the new technologies. Inquiry-Based Science Education with the support of sophisticated ICT lacking. Inquiry-Based Science Education has clearly defined its four levels, in particular the use of teaching depends on the particular pupils and teachers. This learning strategy can thus rendering the various options and the use of ICT available at the school. The following article's focus is on a selection of specific technologies available and used at a primary school in connection with the different levels of Inquiry-Based Science Education and the extent of its involvement. The research was executed by means of on-line data collection provided by Methodical and Evaluation Centre o.p.s. in 2008 and 2009. The data analysis of the results of General Interest Structure Test (AIST-R test), which deals with the professional orientation, demonstrated an interesting structure of pupils' professional orientation. The pupils from 6th up to 8th classes were examined. We obtained preferences of the interests structure, the most sought combinations of career selection, aspiration levels of reached education and all that for about 1,600 pupils. This internationally proven test in a computational version was used continually with a newly constructed achievement method for finding out aptitudes linked with technical and practical competence (TTPP - Test of Technical and Practical Competence). The curriculum is easily accessible and appeals to a wider audience. The lessons use videos of various physical processes and chemical experiments. However there can be problems with this format. The video quality is often degraded in the final stage when the video is being prepared for placement in education. These include teaching materials in the form of web pages, elearning courses or flash multimedia objects. The final product of editing video from a digital camcorder is a DVD video. However, if we want to transfer this to the Web or other educational material, it is necessary to remove non-square pixels, interlaced video and choose the appropriate compression. For these operations, there are many interpolation algorithms (nearest neighbour, bilinear interpolation, bicubic interpolation), filter deinterlacing (wave, bob, blend), and compression tools. By selecting appropriate settings for these parameters, the video material can be optimized while maintaining the highest possible image quality. The final step before publishing the video is its conversion into one of the used codecs. The main reasoning behind individualised education is to respect differences of individual students. This individualised form of education in connection with the ever-present ICT devices leads to a new form of education - adaptive eLearning: a form of educational process that is in harmony with individual needs of students. This article deals with the basic principles of creating adaptive learning environment; with the current conditions of this issue in the Czech Republic and abroad; and with the outline of possible solutions to the adaptive electronic teaching process. The main goal of this paper is to introduce a prepared formal description and describe the set of useful types of electronic question objects regardless of their connection with the existing software. It also summarizes reasons for introduction of mobile learning and analyzes available options for its technical implementation. Specific example is used to demonstrate practical use of m-learning courses - learning of English language for a defined group of recipients within an international Leonardo da Vinci pilot project “M-Learning for the Young People (Students) at Risk Groups (MLARG)”. Substantial part of the text is dedicated to the analysis of typical functions available in an m-learning system and to the discussion about its advantages, disadvantages and limitations, mainly in relation to the properties and features of conventional e-learning environments. The first activity is oriented on discovering and understanding the basic principles and rules of computer communication carried out by pupils themselves. We encourage pupils to simulate communication in a computer network and solve raised problems. The aim is to lead pupils to discover the encoded message within transmitted information (the structure of TCP/IP packet) and to realize the significance and importance of communication protocols.
