However, there are different load types on the distribution network that can significantly determine the size and location of shunt capacitors. In this study, the black widow optimizer technique is utilized for optimal allocation of shunt capacitors considering the constant impedance, constant current, constant power and combination of loads scenarios in the radial distribution network. The objective of the study is minimization of the total annual operating cost composed of cost due to power loss, shunt capacitor’s investment, installation and operation cost. The proposed method is implemented on the IEEE 33-bus and 69-bus radial distribution networks. The simulation results establish the effectiveness of the proposed technique for the four considered load models. The combination load model yielded the highest percentage savings of 34.79% and 29.62 % of the total annual operating cost for the IEEE 33-bus and 69-bus RDN, respectively. The effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed BWO were confirmed by a comparison of the results of the constant power model with well-established optimization techniques found in open works of literature.","PeriodicalId":241355,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering and Emerging Technologies (ICEET)","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132837184","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this article, a special monitoring module with a rechargeable battery power source and a software-based expandable platform on the web server for displaying and monitoring the Wearable Artificial Kidney (WAK) signals graphically, is presented. The proposed system, monitors and controls the performance of the device remotely, and it provides a reduction in costs and time savings. By implementing a hardware module, the vital and control signals are received from WAK sensors and using the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol are sent. The proposed module can send the data by WIFI and GSM/GPRS. The desired module, while controlling WAK remotely, is equipped with a GPS that controls the geographic location of patients. To reduce the power consumption of this battery-powered module, it sends the location in a part-time performance cycle. The proposed method, utilized artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm, to monitor the performance of the WAK and provide suitable control according to each patient’s condition. Also, the AI algorithm utilizes the significant measured parameters of the sensors such as blood leakage and air bubble detectors, access, return, pre-filter and ultra-filter pressures, temperature, pump status, and battery level, leading to early detection and interventions to avoid hospitalizations that facilitate the management and increase the quality of the dialysis patients.","PeriodicalId":241355,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering and Emerging Technologies (ICEET)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128111441","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This project aims to detect hotspots to reduce financial losses and maintain high performance. Using infrared thermography (IR) camera connected to an auto-controlled drone (UAV), a continuous scan of the surface of the installed solar panels is applied. The hotspot is dangerous because it is hidden and sometimes cannot be discovered until the total damage to the cell happens. Since a hotspot can quickly occur due to environmental conditions such as dust, dirt, shading, or manufactural causes, it requires a continuous check to maintain highly efficient performance and a safe working area.","PeriodicalId":241355,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering and Emerging Technologies (ICEET)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132199699","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This abundant digitized data is currently being processed using modern AI techniques for effective and automatic processing for the betterment of humanity. Following this revolution, as the amount of legal data also keeps on increasing due to many verdicts being passed every day, the current study deals with the automatic information mining from this data. These passed verdicts and cases are the primary source of information for judges and lawyers. Hence, there exists a wide margin of research in this domain to better serve the needs of legal stakeholders and the public. Therefore, in this study, Information Extraction is applied to extract potential entities from five hundred reported civil judgments from Lahore High Court, Pakistan. This is being carried out using a variety of algorithms, including statistical sequence labeling techniques (Hidden Markov Models, Maximum Entropy Models, and Conditional Random Fields (CRF)) as well as state-of-the-art deep learning systems (hybrid deep architectures and transformers). In addition, experiments are carried out using two widely used annotation schemes. Experiments resulted in an F1 score of more than 95 percent without using domain-specific features.","PeriodicalId":241355,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering and Emerging Technologies (ICEET)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129004843","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Power transmission lines (PTL), which provide the transportation of electrical energy, are a vital element in electrical transmission. The control and maintenance of PTL is very important for the quality and uninterruptedness of the energy provided to the consumer, and for the stable and safe transportation of energy. The transmission lines that provide the transportation process pass through hard-to-reach and inaccessible areas such as mountains, seas and forests and travel for kilometers. In these challenging areas, monitoring, control and maintenance of PTL is very difficult. However, despite the difficulties, it is inevitable to ensure the control and maintenance of PTL. At this point, human safety, cost and speed are the main criteria to be considered. There are currently two methods commonly used for line control; One of them is the control method made by the workers and the other is the control method by helicopter. These methods have some disadvantages in terms of time, cost, safety and functionality. As an alternative method to these methods, PTL inspection robots have come to the fore. In this paper, experimental studies on PTL inspection robots that moving on the ground wire in the literature are examined. Details of robots with different mechanisms are presented.","PeriodicalId":241355,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Engineering and Emerging Technologies (ICEET)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123383967","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
