In such microgrids, a DC section is typically present, separated from the AC grid by a front-end converter: this is the case e.g. for PV generation and for full-converter wind power plant. One critical issue in such grids is grounding: several different options are available, according to the grounding schemes of DC and AC active parts. Each has different consequences on grid operation and fault behavior. In this paper, grounding schemes with ungrounded AC section and grounded DC section (both middle point- and single pole-grounding) are discussed. The test assembly has 37 rods, which are similar to the real fuel pins of the BREST-OD-300 fuel assemblies geometrically. Air open loop test facility installed at the “Nuclear Power Plants and Installations” department of BMSTU was used to obtain the experimental data. The obtaining altitudinal distribution of static pressure in the near-wall test assembly as well as velocity and temperature distribution of coolant flow in the test sections can give us some new knowledge about the mechanism of formation of the turbulence flow structure in the wire wrapped fuel assemblies. Numerical simulations of the turbulence flow have been accomplished using ANSYS Fluent. Different non-local turbulence models have been considered, such as standard and RNG k-ε models and k-ω SST model. Mathematical models of a controllable series compensator and a static synchronous series compensator, including a simplified transmission system model, based on a single- load infinitive bus, are developed. The impact of a controllable series compensator and a static synchronous series compensator on a voltage was studied. The basic mathematical background of the differences between a controllable series compensator and a static synchronous series compensator in terms of voltage control are presented. One possibility to raise that share is the installation of high-capacity electricity storages. However, it is assumed that appropriate battery storage systems will be prevalent only in case of an economic advantageous purchase. As part of this paper the Excel tool SWA for an economic solar storage analysis has been developed. Taking into account all relevant parameters and their object-specific manifestations, the programme displays the output of the case-specific most economic storage capacity and associated economic indicators. The aim of this paper is to present the results of comprehensive analyses performed with the SWA tool. Introduction of photovoltaic generation systems (PVs) into a distribution system makes determining the appropriate LDC parameters difficult, which may cause voltage deviation because reverse power flow from PVs affects voltage. Especially in the distribution system in which multiple SVRs are installed, determining the appropriate combination of LDC parameters becomes difficult. In the proposed method, the parameters are reset every hour by choosing one LDC parameter from a database including feasible parameters in the past. To create the database, the proposed method hourly enumerates the feasible parameters utilizing data acquired by SCADA. A relatively simple axially symmetric configuration with magnetic mirrors is described and it's physical and engineering advantages are outlined with regard to its applications as a high power fusion neutron source (NS). In the latest experiments with combined neutral beam and electron cyclotron resonance heating of plasma in the gas dynamic trap machine (GDT, Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics) a significant increase of electron temperature (Te) was demonstrated. Therefore the implementation of new control and management strategies is required to achieve their integration and maintain a permanent balance between power generation and demand. This paper investigates the possibility for electrical loads connected to the grid to actively participate to primary frequency regulation activities. Electrical loads can contribute to frequency regulation by changing their power demand when they are asked to take part to control actions. A simplified model of electricity grid is proposed, including network inertia, generator, frequency controller and a thermal load represented by the air cooling system of a group of buildings. In a previous work, three different models were analyzed and discussed to evaluate limits and strong points of each one. In this paper the same three models have been considered and compared with experimental results obtained for different horizontal planes by means of Particles Image Velocimetry technique. Mean velocity fields have been measured and discussed for each test case, highlighting the vortex flow field differences at different heights and flow rates. Experimental results have been compared with three analytical vortex models in terms of tangential velocity and vorticity profiles; two parameters needed by the models - the circulation and the vortex core radius - are derived from the experiments. On the basis of the available data in the literature characterizing the number of vehicles using the following criteria: age of the vehicle, engine capacity, car classification, the type of fuel used, curb weight. An average consumption of original fuel and gas was determined on the basis of an econometric model, which was developed specifically for this purpose and concluded from the data declared by the vehicle owners. Operating costs of the vehicle powered by the original fuel and natural gas were estimated based on a developed stochastic simulation model, which uses random vehicle parameters drawn from the Monte Carlo method. Vehicle parameters are simulated in such way that the resulting set of vehicles matches actual structure of passenger cars segment in Poland. Thus, the estimated costs, including capital expenditures necessary for the conversion to gas fuel (purchase and installation of a gas system and tanks) allow to perform an assessment of the economic use of the dual fuel vehicles. Moreover, this allows to compare these assessments. On this basis, it will be possible to choose more attractive settings and at the same time estimate an annual fuel consumption if the gas powered vehicle was chosen. These steps were repeated for 17 303 vehicles and the annual natural gas cosumption of the vehicles were summed and multiplied by thousand. The ASG has an capability to turn rotor field and as a result to improve transient stability of generator. The stability improvement is demonstrated in the paper based on the time domain simulations. It is shown that excitation phase boosting of ASG allows to extend area of undangerous faults from the generator stability point of view.
