The proposed network model for this architecture was examined by OPNET modeler. Two handover scenarios (WiMAX to LTE and LTE to WIMAX) were considered in this research. Performance of handover in terms of the two parameters of packet loss and throughput were examined. Decrease in throughput versus increase in handover delay time was observed. An inverse trend between the packet loss and handover delay time was obtained as well. Each user is given a smart meter that monitors their electricity usage and at the same time informs the customers of the new prices at the start of each hour. The new price signal is comprised of time and usage dependent parameters. This new pricing method encourages users to reshape their usage algorithm towards a responsible model in which the load peak and electricity costs for the users are reduced. In order to do so a cost function named welfare function, is introduced that minimizing it, will result in fulfillment of aforementioned goals. LNS was been implemented in DSP processors and even as an enhancer tool in image improvements. The selection of LNS is due to the ease of operation for multiplication, division, square and square-root which been replaced by fixed-point addition, subtraction, and left- and right-shift operations, respectively. Current researches have found that LNS is possible to be a competitor and a potential replacement of floating point (FP) system in near future, as it provides comparable strength towards the latter. The other arithmetic operations, which is the addition and subtraction, however, have to face great challenges in implementations as it requires complex procedures and circuitry. As LNS potential to be a substitution of FP, there is a significant need for LNS to improve the performance. Hence, this paper outlines the evolution of the LNS architecture design and highlights the potential areas for further improvements. The data is collected at 16 points around the human body from 84 subjects undergoing stroke treatment. The statistical properties of human body radiation frequency are examined using SPSS software. It is found that the right hemisphere stroke patients generally have higher frequency reading on the left side of the body compared to the right side. The fault detection is investigated based on the residual generation. The difference between the model and the process plant gives the modelling prediction errors which later been used in detecting faults occurring in the systems. The RBF network acts as a classifier to perform fault isolation. The faults are introduced in a simulator model of fuel cell systems developed by University of Michigan where five faults are introduced in online simulation. A large number of research in the area of inspection robot focuses on corrosion detection and navigation. There is however a smaller number of researchers that investigates mapping and detection of underground and buried pipeline network/routes. This paper presents an overview of research in the area of automated mapping of underground pipelines. There is a need to map underground pipelines due to non-availability of maps and network diagrams of existing pipelines caused by poor documentation management and poor updating of documentation whenever piping rerouting occurs. An accurate map also could be used by an autonomous inspection robot for navigation and localization. An autonomous inspection robot that can accurately detect pipelines could then be used to detect misalignment and deformities of pipeline structures and network. This investigation indicates that to design an automated mapping system for underground pipelines, researchers must consider the type of sensors that can be used underground and in a metal environment. The use of autonomous mobile robots has increased in various fields such as in the industrial, agricultural, and military sectors. This paper presents the development of a mobile robot that uses Fuzzy Logic approach to control a robot's movement in an area cluttered with static obstacles. In the experiment presented herewith, the controller was programmed with 256 Fuzzy Logic rules and the input to the system is from an E-puck robot that is equipped with infrared sensors. Webot Pro and Matlab are the software used in the development and simulation of the robot. The mobile robot was designed to move and avoid static obstacles. The performance of the mobile robot was evaluated from the way it avoids the obstacles, and the time taken when it move from a starting point to an end point. The results showed that the robot could avoid the obstacle successfully in various types of static environments. Development of IROIC for EGFET is for the creation of single chip for smart sensors with low cost. Implementation of constant voltage constant current (CVCC) technique to this architecture, resulted in the variation of electrochemical potential can be monitored via the output of IROIC. The design of IROIC was targeted to Silterra 0.13 μm CMOS technology with the size approximately 124 μm × 70 μm. The discrete level of single supply ROIC gave linear sensitivity to the measured pH values with range pH4-pH10 which was 46.9 mV/pH. This value was nearly to that the dual supply ROIC (45.3 mV/pH). New noise reduction technology and amplifiers voltage-noise density, yet still offer high speed, high accuracy and low power solution. Low noise amplifiers always play a significant role in RF technology. Hence in this paper, high linear low noise amplifier (LNA) using cascode self-biased multiple gated transistors (MGTR) is presented. The proposed system is covering 0.9 to 2.4 GHz applications. To verify the functionality of the proposed LNA as a bottleneck of RF technology, a cascode LNA without MGTR is implemented and synthesized. The comparison has been done with the single-gate LNA. From the synthesize result, proposed LNA obtained 10 dBm third-order input intercept point (IIP3) in compare with single-gate LNA at 9 dB gain. Corrosion protection performance of acrylate/carbon nanotubes nanocomposites thin film coating was determined by immersed in 3.5 % sodium chloride. Carbon nanotubes with various weight percentages (0.2 %, 0.4 %, 0.6 %, 0.8 % and 1.0 %) blending into acrylate and deposited on mild steel by using sol-gel method.
