When compared to conventional paging methods, the propose scheme decreases paging cost but also increases boundary location update cost. The LA boundary location update is performed whenever the MS changes its boundary between the cells set in boundary and the rest of cells in LA. This scheme consider most MS are moving in some cell of LA, with dedicated boundary paging for reduce cost of paging. Therefore, paging cost reduces depending on the number of cell set in the boundary and the scheme was performed by numerical results.","PeriodicalId":239300,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings. Multi-phase ac machine drive offers numerous advantages over conventional three-phase drives. In principle the control methods are same as for three phase machines. A detail modelling of n-phase (where n=odd) induction machine is presented in this paper. The model of machine, given in terms of phase variable, is transformed into a common reference frame, rotating at an arbitrary angular speed. Five-phase drives are finally chosen for the simulation study. An extensive simulation study is done for different operating conditions and the results are presented. Most application of PWM converters has a control structure comprising a current feedback loop for current regulation. This paper deals with the most commonly used hysteresis current control schemes. When a packet arrives at a router, the router looks at the destination address, checks with the routing-table entries, then selects the best match and sends the packet to the output queue. The routing is dynamic where the packets in a single flow may take different paths to the destination. Also packets in the output queues are serviced based on first-come-first-serve order. The best effort mechanism of the IP-based networks worked very well in an end-to-end data transfer environment, which contributes to the success of the Internet this far. However, to support real-time multimedia applications over the IP-based networks such as streaming video, IP telephony, Internet radio, teleconferencing, interactive games, etc, would require necessary services that could guarantee the end-to-end delay required by the applications. New service architectures have been recently introduced to support real-time multimedia networking in IP-based networks. Differentiated services (DiffServ) architecture combined with multi protocol label switching (MPLS) have become a promising mechanism of achieving quality of service (QoS) with the scalability required by the Internet. Scheduling mechanisms at the network nodes can give fairness and protection according to the requirements of the traffic. This paper proposes a dynamic scheduler based on fuzzy logic at the DiffServ-enabled MPLS edge node. But now the condition has changed as industrialist prefers this power electronics based inverters for both soft starting and speed control, this in fact getting more attention as price of solid states semiconductors has gradually reduced and eventually the VSD is cost effective as compare to electromechanical switches especially when the questions of efficiency, energy saving and reliability arise. However, as VSD is not a stand-alone device hence, there are many practical problems and failures confront by design engineers, project engineers as well as maintenance engineers. For this reason, this paper includes practical failures or problems faced by engineers during design, selection, installation and operation of VSD for induction motor in particular. Failures and problems in each stage will be elaborated in the simple manner from industrial point of view. A dedicated multiprocessors system is developed to suit the purpose. The multiprocessors will utilize low-cost and readily available processors. At the moment, there are only three (3), computers will be connected as a multiprocessors system. Beowulf Linux clustering is implemented to create a 'supercomputer' like environment of the multiprocessor system. Through Linux stable operating system environment, the program would simulate the network using Newton-Raphson iterations to produce results. Fast solutions are enabled using parallel programming and load balancing technique among the multiprocessors system. User-friendly interface is created for easy access and easy interaction with the program and data input. This research work aim was to provide a PAN (personal area network) for computer based mobile robot that supports real-time control of four mobile robots from a host mobile robot. With ad hoc topology, mobile robots may request and establish a connection when it is within the range or terminated the connection when it leaves the area. A system that contains both hardware and software is designed to enable the robots to participate in multi-agent robotics system (MARS). The monitoring system is divided into server side program (Eyewatch) and client side program. The server side program informs the user about the door status through the client side program. The purpose to develop client side program is to enable user far apart from the door, know the status whether the door is block or not. The microcontroller is integrated with a keypad and LCD display. Only an authorized person can enter the room. Area of interest in this paper is to prove that analogue circuit can be translated into logic gates (0's or 1's) and investigates the effectiveness of analogue fault (short and open) in analogy approximate to digital stuck-at fault model. The purpose of testing fault that connects active component to supply terminal (stuck-at fault) is to investigate the characteristic of the output response, whether can successful model analogue fault to logic level. The approach is to sensitise primary input with an arbitrary frequency square-wave as stimuli and observes output signature in transient and frequency response in order to distinguish Go or No-GO. It is a simple method to accelerate production test without any extra circuitry. During the SLG fault, negative sequence components exist in the system. In balanced systems the STATCOM has a very good performance, allowing compensation of capacitive or inductive reactive power with a fast transient response. When there are negative sequence components due to voltage imbalance, the D-STATCOM has reacted in reducing the unbalanced in the system. An analytical analysis, and simulations of a 12-pulse D-STATCOM using the electromagnetic transient program (PSCAD/EMTDC) show how D-STATCOM reacts during the unbalanced in the system affected by negative sequence components and how its performance increase the power system's stability.
