This study suggests a holistic approach to face the aforementioned threats for a developing nation integrating both internal and external resources. This is a descriptive study based on online resources and various publications. The developing nations/states remain vulnerable to all forms of cyber threats purported by malicious individuals, organizations, and even by the state actors. In one hand, these smaller nations lack public awareness in using IT resources, on the other hand they cannot afford required advanced skill base, tools and infrastructures. Therefore, they need a holistic approach to thwart cyber threats emanating both from internal and external agents. Domestically, the developing countries can raise public awareness, develop required skill base, infrastructures, and form public-pri-vate partnerships. Internationally, respecting own national interests, the countries can form alliance to share tools and skills. It is expected that such efforts will help the developing countries to secure cyberspace from various forms of threats.","PeriodicalId":239251,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology for Sustainable Development (ICICT4SD)","volume":"25 6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125248581","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The key issue for vision system is proper segmentation and detection of an object under noise and low light. A number of image enhancement algorithms have been proposed so far such as adaptive histogram equalization (AHE) and contrast limit adaptive histogram equalization (CLAHE) to combat the low light and high noise in the captured image. However, both of these algorithms have some advantages and disadvantages based on image quality. Therefore to incorporate the advantages of both algorithms, we design a vision system actualization (VSA) system based on automatic image tuning (AIT) system that selects the suitable algorithm for image enhancement on the basis of image noise variance and light intensity. The VSA system is implemented on a 3-DOF robotic system using embedded control system (ECS). The proposed method shows optimum results up to 92 percent and minimizes the processing times up to 0.005 seconds for the VSA system. In addition, we developed a human-robot interface (HRI) to control and optimize the vision performance.","PeriodicalId":239251,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology for Sustainable Development (ICICT4SD)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133802862","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Covid-19 has already changed the world economic structure, people's religious, political, social life, public health structure, people's daily life structure and also made millions of people jobless. The only way to fight this epidemic is to identify the infected person as soon as possible and separate them from a healthy person, so that they can't infect anyone again. At present, RT-PCR is currently used to detect coronavirus patients around the world. But the World Health Organization (WHO) said that RT-PCR suffers from low sensitivity and low specificity for early-stage cases. Recent research has shown that chest CT scan images play a beneficial role in identifying coronavirus cases. In this study, we compared the performances of four classification algorithms, such as Random Forest (RF), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Extra Trees (ET), and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for classifying COVID-19 cases and proposed a prediction model based on classification results. The result shows that our proposed CNN model outperformed the other classification algorithms and obtained an accuracy of 98.0%.","PeriodicalId":239251,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology for Sustainable Development (ICICT4SD)","volume":"121 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121710410","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The age-old traditional information security systems have been rendered ineffective owing to fast moving digital transformation. The current perceptions suggest that information insecurity environment in cyberspace across the globe is increasing at unprecedented pace at both global and national context. The Bangladesh situation has been analyzed in this paper through four internationally recognized indices. It indicates the requirement of significant rooms for improvements. Such phenomenon is impacting persons, organizations, and states. The challenges of cy-bersecurity emanate from lack of legal frameworks or improper legal documents, inefficient technical institutions, lack of organizational ability and capacity building, and finally lack of cooperation mechanisms. The suggested policy options have addressed the ongoing challenges with a view to developing a digitally connected safe, secure, and reliable Bangladesh by 2030.","PeriodicalId":239251,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology for Sustainable Development (ICICT4SD)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125438465","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The effect of corona virus causes a serious illness may result in death as a consequence of substantial alveolar damage and progressive respiratory failure. Automatic detection and classification of this virus from chest X-ray image using computer vision technology can be very useful complement with respect to the less sensitive traditional process of detecting COVID-19 i.e. Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR). This automated process offers a great potential to enhance the conventional healthcare tactic for tackling COVID-19 and can mitigate the shortage of trained physicians in remote communities. Again, the segmentation of the infected regions from chest X-ray image can help the medical specialists to view insights of the affected region. So, in this paper we have used deep learning based ensemble model for the classification of COVID-19, pneumonia and normal X-ray image and for segmentation we have used DenseNet based U-Net architecture to segment the affected region. For making the ground truth mask image which is needed for segmenting purpose, we have used Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth Tool to manually crop the activation region (discriminative image regions by which CNN identify a specific class using Grad-CAM algorithm) of the X-ray image. We have found the classification accuracy 99.2% on the available X-ray dataset and 92% average accuracy from the segmentation process.","PeriodicalId":239251,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology for Sustainable Development (ICICT4SD)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128980427","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

UWSN covers a vast area of application such as disaster prevention, assisted navigation, environmental monitoring or undersea explorations. UWSN consumes excessive amount of energy due to the use of acoustic waves to communicate which have some limitations such as limited bandwidth, high propagation delay, high bit error rate and more. Therefore energy consumption is the major concern at the time of designing a protocol for UWSN. Clustering mechanisms are commonly used in UWSN to design a balanced network that consumes less energy. In this paper we proposed an energy-efficient routing protocol for underwater 3D environments based on clustering. In this protocol, some of the nodes make a cluster where one node becomes cluster head and others are members of the cluster. A node becomes cluster head probabilistically based on the residual energy of the node. The simulation demonstrates that our proposed work uses less energy compared to the LEACH.","PeriodicalId":239251,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology for Sustainable Development (ICICT4SD)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131129526","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As IoT based sensors nodes are very energy-constrained devices, continuous transmission of huge amounts of sensor data from IoT nodes is challenging but inevitable. It requires massive energy consumption. In this paper, we present an energy-saving pattern by predicting the periodic sensor data after analyzing the continuous transmission data from IoT nodes (at the server beforehand). Our system consists of an IoT based sensor network and a data processing unit. In the sensor network, two types of sensor data, such as temperature and humidity, are collected from four different nodes and sent to the processing unit (integrated on Raspberry Pi). In the processing unit, we worked with two machine learning models-Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) and Long Short Term Memory (LSTM), which are applied separately on the data of four nodes to make a prediction of future values. A comparative analysis of two models is done in terms of different evaluation metrics where the accuracy of LSTM outperforms ARIMA. Finally, it is shown that with the prediction accuracy of both models, the efficient energy-saving pattern is a chieved by effectively reducing the continuous transmission of data.","PeriodicalId":239251,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology for Sustainable Development (ICICT4SD)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127263852","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

GPU is designed to perform complex mathematical and geometric tasks which are primarily used for 3D graphics related functions. It is also possible to use GPU for non-graphics or general-purpose computation, called General Purpose Computing on GPU (GPGPU), a sub-discipline of High-Performance Computing (HPC). The use of GPU, along with CPU to accelerate more complex scientific, engineering and mathematical tasks is known as GPU Accelerated Computing. In this paper, we propose an efficient tensor computation for Hadamard Product (HP) which is directly applied in machine learning applications especially in Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). The HP computation becomes complex when higher order tensors with millions of data is considered. Therefore, the only CPU-based traditional serial operation becomes tedious and inefficient. The contribution of this paper is in two fold; first we have developed efficient algorithms for higher order tensors by dimension conversion. Then we apply the algorithm in GPU to speed up the computation. To apply in GPU, we develop efficient partitioning scheme of higher order tensors. We have used CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture) C programming model developed by NVIDIA to implement the algorithm. We compared these algorithms with Traditional Multidimensional Array (TMA) based algorithm and found improved results.","PeriodicalId":239251,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology for Sustainable Development (ICICT4SD)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115464311","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
