It is discussed in great depth how significant Islamic law is to Indonesian society, beginning with its origins in pre-colonial periods and continuing up to the present day. It covers the political, economic, and social consequences that have developed as a direct consequence of Indonesia's adoption of Islamic law as its official legal system. These ramifications have arisen as a direct consequence of Indonesia's adoption of Islamic law as its official legal system. These consequences have been experienced by people in every region of the country. In this article, the challenges that arise when attempting to apply Islamic law in a nation as diverse and democratic as Indonesia are acknowledged and discussed. Among these are mending the breach between religious conservatism and secularism and creating a happy medium between the ideals of Islamic law and human rights. Despite these challenges, the article emphasizes how important it is for Indonesia's many different religious and cultural communities to maintain open lines of communication and work together. This article demonstrates how important it is to build a society in which the rights of each citizen are respected and safeguarded. In light of respect for the varied history of Indonesia, the author finishes the piece with a call for national solidarity to achieve peace and prosperity in Indonesia.","PeriodicalId":238752,"journal":{"name":"European Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130475563","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Making clear the concept of effective strategy in foreign policy and international relations, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the concrete strategies that the United States must follow to be successful in its foreign policy, in the context of the new challenges that the international system is facing in the 21st century. More clearly, in this paper will be identified the character of the international policies that the USA should follow in the system of international relations, as well as the most appropriate means to realize them. The research questions that arise for this purpose are: Should the American foreign policy prioritize liberal values and principles or the American national interest? What role should the US play in providing global public goods? Is it necessary for the USA to invest in a restrictive foreign policy strategy, maintaining defiant military primacy in the context of the problems they are facing today? To answer the above question this study is based on secondary sources as bibliographical analysis, journal articles, as well as the most popular theories of international relations, making efforts to ensure objective and accurate information sources. Also, given that international relations forecasting is a really complex issue, the collection of concrete data and their interpretation based on a comparative approach, has served as an important instrument to make the theoretical framework as reliable as possible.","PeriodicalId":238752,"journal":{"name":"European Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115946259","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hartawan","doi":"10.24018/ejsocial.2023.3.2.436","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24018/ejsocial.2023.3.2.436","url":null,"abstract":"Innovation and creativity are required if a company's product or service wants to compete in this digital era, especially in selecting marketing strategies. Selecting a marketing strategy is the most important thing determining the success or failure of a company that carries out e-commerce activities. Cashback and split payments are one of the marketing strategies chosen by the company to entice buyers to transact with its merchant members. However, often cashback and split payment schemes, including payment schemes for transactions with merchants through marketplaces, do not meet the ethical values of Islamic business in which transactions must supposedly earn the blessings of Allah SWT. This study discusses cashback and split payment schemes, namely their concept, theory, and implementation, the distribution scheme’s types, and whether they can fulfill the values of Islamic business ethics. The research method chosen by the author is a qualitative descriptive study, namely a study of literature using journals, e-books, the web, and other reading materials which serve as references herein. The results of the study show that there are cashback and split payment schemes that are prohibited and do not meet the values of Islamic business ethics. However, most consumers are less thorough and aware of the cashback and split payment schemes. Interest in discounted prices and ease of transactions attract consumers to the advantages and benefits of these transactions and schemes. Consumers must be more careful, so they are not trapped in transactions that violate Islamic law's principles. Scholars are required to update information related to business concepts and strategies implemented by e-commerce business actors to understand better the wider community about whether marketing strategies involving transaction or payment schemes are permissible.","PeriodicalId":238752,"journal":{"name":"European Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130525059","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This evolution is gaining momentum with globalization and development. In the northern zone of Cameroon, many development projects are implemented there with the aim of ensuring the prevention, protection and social care of communities. However, they constitute at the same time a weakening/destabilization of families. This contribution aims to analyze the impact of gender-related projects on family configurations in the northern zone of Cameroon. This study being essentially qualitative, takes into account ethnographic and documentary data. Based on the dynamic sociology of George Balandier, it starts from the hypothesis that gender projects implemented with a view of guaranteeing social development appear rather as a disturbing element in families because the ideologies conveyed by these projects do not converge with African customs and practices. The findings show how old family practices, considered normal, are perceived today with the advent of gender-related projects as violence or coercive practices. These ideologies modify and transform current family configurations. This study contributes to the understanding of the direct and indirect effects of globalization on African families.","PeriodicalId":238752,"journal":{"name":"European Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132047135","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the four fundamental freedoms of the internal market with the potential to benefit consumers. Because of its complexities, it continues to be important and needs to be continuously studied and analyzed. Given this, the main goal of this paper is to prove if the free movement of Albanian goods toward the European Union is a positive indicator or not for the future. It will be an examination to better understand where we are as a country. To better understand the situation, the analysis will begin with a general overview of the free movement of goods and its significance, followed by a look at the opportunities and challenges that Albania will most likely face in the future. This study attempts to examine the progress of Albania in the area of the free movement of goods, as a country that aspires to be part of the European Union. It models such an analysis, which begins with the first agreement created for this purpose, such as the Stabilization and Association Agreement, and concludes with the most recent creation, The Open Balkan. The analysis conducted through this lens leads Albania to a better future if it adapts to European Union standards, but things cannot be that simple. The true challenges lie deeper and will be visible in the near future.","PeriodicalId":238752,"journal":{"name":"European Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129769149","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The therapeutic contract begins with an (unwritten) agreement where both parties are assumed to be accommodated when the agreement is reached. Agreement that can be reached include agreeing to medical action or rejecting a medical action plan. Doctors as health workers who work in the health care sector are involved in a working relationship with the hospital as a place to carry out their profession. A doctor working in a hospital also has an administrative relationship that affects rights and obligations between the two parties and responsibilities to third parties. In the relationship between patients and the hospital, patients are the recipient of health services and the hospital is the provider of such services. Hospitals are obliged to provide health services in accordance with health care standards. Doctors, patients and hospitals are in a relationship based on trust, under an assumption that doctors can cure patients' illnesses and will do the best for patients. However, this mindset has changed along with the times, science, and technology that affect the human mind. Their social-moral-oriented relationship has turned into a material-oriented one because doctors face various demands to improve their professionalism. The change in orientation above is one of the causes of medical conflicts and disputes. Conflicts arise between doctors as health service provider and patients as health service receivers. Conflicts can turn into disputes if the party who feels aggrieved has expressed dissatisfaction with the party considered to be the cause. Medical disputes have risen sharply along with the disruption of services amid the turbulence of the COVID-19 pandemic throughout 2020 and 2021. The high rate of disputes also begs question of quality control of health services. This qualitative research-based article attempted to describe and analyze the phenomenon of medical disputes at the Dr. Iskak General Hospital of Tulungagung using the conception of inspanningsverbintenis vs resultaatsverbintenis. The findings show that, in the provision of health services, there may arise four violation categories, namely: ethical violations, disciplinary violations, administrative violations, and legal (both civil and criminal) violations.","PeriodicalId":238752,"journal":{"name":"European Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124037614","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Contribution of community in disaster risk mangenet can never be overlooked in disaster resilience building. Even though the concept of multi-stakeholder has been adopted in Kenya, the community's involvement in disaster risk management has always been passive. Therefore, the objective of the study was to determine how the level of fire risk awareness by the Gikomba community affects their participation in disasters risk management. This study was guided by the model of Sense of Community Responsibility (SOCR), Rocha’s community empowerment model, and the theory of margin. A mixed research design was adopted in the study. A stratified random sample was obtained by dividing the Gikomba market population into several homogenous and non-overlapping strata based on the nature of the business. Open-ended questionnaires were administered to collect quantitative data from 384 respondents. On the other hand, the no-probability sampling technique was used through purposive snowball sampling to collect qualitative data through interviews. Key informants were mainly disaster experts drawn from, national, county, and private stakeholders. Quantitative data was analyzed through SPSS (version 26) software, while qualitative data was organized into meaningful and reasonable units that were coded using words or short phrases. The study established that level of community understanding of their involvement in disaster risk management was low since 52% of the respondents believed that disaster risk reduction was the sole duty of the national government or county governments. Therefore, this study recommends that, both national and county governments enact and implement laws that will enhance community participation in disaster risk management programs as part of the stakeholder group in line with the existing multiagency concept of operation. Further disaster risk awareness should be integrated into school curricula to improve disaster awareness at the local level.","PeriodicalId":238752,"journal":{"name":"European Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129041200","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its ancient civilisation was closely associated with Christianity, which strongly shaped the socio-cultural views and habits of its people. Until the mid-20th century, the only legitimate sect of Christianity and state religion was Orthodox Christianity, represented by the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahǝdo Church. The church shares the same doctrine, canon, and tradition as the Oriental Orthodox churches. It is also committed to the veneration of the Holy Mary.
