Recently some researchers have challenged the existence of any such phenomena. In fact the data available both in favor of and against the concept is insufficient. The most important problem is that to date there is not any particular method/scale to quantify the human likeliness of humanoid robots. We are researching to work out some method of quantification for this property of humanoid robots. In this paper a possible solution has been suggested which can then be utilized to scrutinize the existence of uncanny valley","PeriodicalId":238541,"journal":{"name":"2006 International Conference on Emerging Technologies","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115603589","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, these approaches do not incorporate value-based requirement engineering as an integral part. Secondly, these approaches typically provide modeling of information aspects at the system design level; however, there is a need to model information at the level of understanding business needs while carrying out analysis. Thirdly, today's `information-rich' and `functionally-complex' Web applications necessitate merging both of these aspects; hence as one of the available options, the business information models may be merged to business process models. In this paper, we propose a framework- VIP business modeling framework, incorporating all the above mentioned aspects, during analysis phase, using three different models. First, we emphasize the need for the proposed framework, and then present the related modeling concepts with the help of metamodels. Moreover, we very briefly outline the idea of developing these models with the help of an example","PeriodicalId":238541,"journal":{"name":"2006 International Conference on Emerging Technologies","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125372241","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A general knowledge of the prevalent models of terrorist organizations and its analysis methods leads to a better understanding of their capabilities. One important method is centrality analysis, which determines the relative importance of vertices (terrorists) in a network based on their connectivity within the network structure. In this paper, we address the hierarchy property sharing among a large amount of networks. Based upon the degree centrality (DC) and eigenvector centrality (EC) measure, a method is proposed to discover the hierarchical structure of a terrorist network. This paper describes a new approach for generating arbitrary waveforms using FPGA and a set of Rademacher and Walsh functions. Utilizing these orthogonal functions, any periodic waveform can be realized. Recent advancements in field programmable gate array (FPGA) technology have made waveform generation very easy and cost-effective. For demonstration purpose we used a custom defined arbitrary waveform that is a concatenation of trapezoidal, sinusoidal and triangular waveforms. Simulation results for the proposed AWG are presented. Topdown approach has been adopted to realize the waveform genera in Spartan-3 FPGA. This approximation can be used in analysis, design and model reduction of control systems. Multi agent systems also have their utilization in such areas for example in electronic commerce agent systems are already supporting the automation and semiautomation of information gathering activities and transactions over the Internet. Multi agent systems use their own encoding specifications where as Web services use XML as a basis for communication. Therefore, in order to provide interoperability between Web services and multi-agent systems, our aim is to develop a middleware layer between the two. The middleware will facilitate the integration of the two technologies without changing their existing specifications. The proposed technique first normalizes an input image by removing affine distortions from it and then spatially re-samples the affine normalized image across multiple scales, next the Gabor transform is computed for the resampled images over different frequencies and orientations. Finally autoconvolution is performed in the transformed domain to generate a set of 384 invariants. Experimental results conducted using four different standard datasets confirm the validity of the proposed approach. Beside this the error rates obtained in terms of invariant stability are significantly lower when compared to Fourier based MSA, which has proven itself to be better than moment invariants","PeriodicalId":238541,"journal":{"name":"2006 International Conference on Emerging Technologies","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126728869","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
