Active inductors are used in the design to diminish chip area consumption. Results based on post layout simulations are presented. Circuits are currently being fabricated through the MOSIS Educational Program. The core VCO dissipates 6.86 mW on a 1.8 V power supply. The whole circuit has an output power of -2.956 dBm. Simulated phase noise is shown as -74.6 dB/Hz at 1MHz offset and -102.3 dB/Hz at 10 MHz offset.","PeriodicalId":237047,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Symposium on Communications and Information Technology, 2004. This work presents a new soft handoff scheme for the downlink IP packet transmissions where the system throughput could be efficiently improved. This has resulted in a lack of performable features compared with PCs. Yet, the trend of handheld devices in recent years has been to add sophisticated functions for multimedia processing. Since such a scheme has relied on a software approach, it is hard to achieve high speed with low power. Setting up the drastic throughput of 1 GIPS (10/sup 9/ instructions/sec) and 1 W power dissipation to meet the demand for power, speed, and usability, we have developed a Java-embedded mobile processor core named gorilla. The main objective of this work is to minimize the path length to get the best path planning for a given map. This study proposes a solution algorithm based on the ant colony optimization technique to search the shortest path from a desired origin to a desired destination of the map. The proposed algorithm is implemented in C++. Furthermore, the simulation program can randomly generate maps for evaluating its flexibility and performance. Its anti-noise performance is analyzed in this paper. Baseband transmission models of digital signals are established according to the operating principle of the eavesdropper. The relationship between the eavesdropper's bit error rate and some parameters, such as intercept distance, superposition times and noise power, is discussed under the circumstances of ISI and ISI-freedom. This scheme generates watermarked images with desired objective image-quality in terms of the peak signal-to-noise ratio, and extracts an embedded watermark without any reference images. In this paper, we mathematically formulate an optimal timeslot allocation problem for the integrated voice and data CDMA/TDD system as a nonlinear integer programming problem, which is to maximize the system capacity under the given traffic imbalance. We also propose an efficient heuristic algorithm based on the simulated annealing technique. The passband rectangular pulse with specific center frequency and bandwidth is used as the transmitted signal. The complex form Friis' transmission formula is applied for the UWB ground reflection channel. The received signal is evaluated. The UWB path loss is defined as the ratio between the maximum amplitude of the transmitted and received signal waveforms. The closed form path loss expression is derived. For the data processing, the path loss and rms delay spread of the ground reflection model are considered for the 1.00, 0.10 and 0.01 m antenna heights. The double linear regression for the path loss is modeled by using the first Fresnel zone and MMSE break points. The rms delay spread as a function of the antenna height and the path loss is investigated.
