Academic stress is triggered by various circumstances, such as heavy workloads, lots of teaching materials or material to study, students need to excel academically, and academic demands that are reinforced by pressure from parents, school, and classmates. It is necessary to have group counseling for students to overcome these problems. The purpose of this study is to find out how effective the application of group counseling services is in minimizing academic stress in high school students. This research belongs to the type of experimental research, with a total sample of 6 high school students. Data collection in the study was carried out using questionnaires and interviews, with the research instrument being a questionnaire regarding academic stress. The data obtained in the study were then analyzed using the paired simple t-test. The results of the data analysis showed that the results of the Shapiro-Wilk normality test were pre-test 225 and post-test 099. It can be concluded that the data was > 0.05 or normally distributed. Furthermore, the paired sample t-test results showed a two-tailed significance score <0.05, meaning there was a significant difference between the initial and final variables. It indicates a significant effect on the difference in the treatment given to each variable. Based on these results, group counseling services are quite effective in minimizing academic stress on students.","PeriodicalId":236383,"journal":{"name":"Bisma The Journal of Counseling","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134004548","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The reality on the ground shows that after implementing online learning, the level of student resilience tends to be low, so to overcome these problems, students need special guidance from counselors. This study aims to provide an overview of changes in student behavior in attending Onelin lectures after group counseling using assertive techniques. This research belongs to the type of quantitative research using class action methods. The subjects involved in this study were six students who experienced decreased resilience during the lecture process. Data collection in the study was carried out using observation, interview, documentation, and questionnaire methods. The data obtained in the study were then analyzed using percentage analysis techniques. The results of the research analysis showed that there was an increase in students' pre-test and post-test scores during the research cycle. The results show that 33% of students have high resilience in completing eight semesters of lectures, 50% have moderate resilience and can complete education in 9 semesters, and 17% have low resilience. These results then show that, in general, the application of group counseling assertive training techniques can significantly restore resilience in students, which is shown by the attitude of surviving and struggling to survive in various situations that interfere with the achievement of learning outcomes.","PeriodicalId":236383,"journal":{"name":"Bisma The Journal of Counseling","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125216669","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between loneliness and depression mediated by resilience in young adults after the death of their parents due to Covid-19. This research belongs to the type of correlational quantitative research. Participants in this study were 105 people, 75 women and 30 men, who had experienced the death of their parents due to COVID-19. Data collection in the study was carried out using the method of observation, interviews, and questionnaires, with the research instrument in the form of a questionnaire divided into four parts, the first being a questionnaire used to measure depression, loneliness and a questionnaire measuring resilience. The data obtained in the study were then analyzed using the statistical package for service solution (SPSS) application. The results of data analysis show that the resilience coefficient as a mediator is 0.082 with an LLCI value of 0.002 and a ULCI value of 0.1741. Because the BootLLCI and BootULCI ranges do not include a value of zero (0), it can be concluded that the estimation is significant and a mediating effect occurs. Based on these results, it can be concluded that resilience has the potential to reduce loneliness and subsequently reduce depression in young adults after the death of their parents due to Covid-19.\u0000 ","PeriodicalId":236383,"journal":{"name":"Bisma The Journal of Counseling","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121317930","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to develop and test the acceptability and effectiveness of classical guidance service tools to increase the responsibility of junior high school students. The results of the CVR analysis showed that all of the questionnaire item statements were accepted and obtained a CVI score of 1 with a very good category. Thus, the classical guidance service device complied with the acceptance requirements. The effectiveness of the classical guidance service device was tested on 35 junior high school students using the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design experimental design. The results of the t-test formula test obtained a probability value or Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000, this probability value is smaller than the 0.05 significance level. The study aimed to determine the impact of parental verbal violence on adolescent self-concept in Sumber Asri Village. This study used a quantifiable approach to 60 respondents with adolescents aged 13 and 18. Research data was obtained by filling out a questionnaire using a google form. Research instruments are arranged based on three dimensions of self-concept: knowledge, expectations, and assessment. The data were analyzed using a product moment test, where the analysis results showed a weak correlation in a negative direction of -0.205. The result means a significant negative relationship exists between parental verbal abuse and adolescent self-concept. The higher the violent verbal behavior of parents, the more negative adolescents' self-concepts. The amount of influence of 4.2% of verbal abuse can contribute to adolescent self-concept. Overcoming negative self-concept in adolescents as a result of mistakes in parenting can be done by changing the parenting style from authoritarian to democratic.","PeriodicalId":236383,"journal":{"name":"Bisma The Journal of Counseling","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114605994","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
