The first technique is modernized for measurement in thin (<0.5 mm) specimens with taking into account the multiple re-reflections inside thin specimen with small attenuation. The second technique which was developed earlier for specimens where the value of the real part of the refractive index is much more than the imaginary one is not applicable for CNT specimens where these values are of the same order of magnitude. Here, this technique is modernized for specimens with significant imaginary part of the refractive index.","PeriodicalId":235293,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Kharkov Symposium Physics and Engrg. of Millimeter and Sub-Millimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128998327","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Starting from the complete integral solution of the inhomogeneous wave equation for a time harmonic field, we obtain first the equations for the Green's and transition operators. Then, expressing the free space dyadic Green's function in terms of spherical wave functions and separating variables, we find the equation for determining the matrix elements of transition loperator T for a system of particles using the matrix elements of T for isolated particles. We show that for divergence free electric field the matrix elements of T, expressed in spherical wave functions, directly connected to Waterman's T matrix.","PeriodicalId":235293,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Kharkov Symposium Physics and Engrg. of Millimeter and Sub-Millimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124618859","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The bispectrum is a 2-D complex function and in its real and imaginary components a strongly non-stationary noise is present. Thus, the filter designed can be also effectively applied to processing different kind of images for which non-stationary noise with a priori unknown local statistical properties is present. The modifications of DCT based filters have been successfully used for removal of pure multiplicative, speckle and film-grain noise.","PeriodicalId":235293,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Kharkov Symposium Physics and Engrg. of Millimeter and Sub-Millimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129891438","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The essential difference between the spectra of E- and H- polarized oscillations of complex open resonator (COR) is noted. It is evident that within the range of measurements performed for the H-polarization, only one oscillation mode is excited while in the case with the E-polarization there are excited several of such modes. In this case the self-collimation reflection from the echelette grating determines the conditions for excitation of the OR, which condition is the dispersive element forming up the OR spectrum. Some functional capabilities implied by the design of the suggested multi-mirror open resonant system are also discussed. The suggested multi-mirror open resonant system can find wide application in millimeter-wave band electronics for frequency stabilization of the electron-vacuum and solid-state devices.","PeriodicalId":235293,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Kharkov Symposium Physics and Engrg. of Millimeter and Sub-Millimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"182 6","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114105450","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method suggested makes possible a multi-frequency carrier and space-code division multiple access (MC-S-CDMA) and principle implementation of information transmitting with usage of broadband chaotic waveform codes. Combination of frequency and CDMA channels separation and chaotic waveform coding for implementing CDMA standard are distinguishing features of the suggested DSRC-WDT system. A new method for code prescribed to each car within the working range of DSRC-VVDT system enables usage of identical standard Tx/Rx equipment for all vehicles.","PeriodicalId":235293,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Kharkov Symposium Physics and Engrg. of Millimeter and Sub-Millimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116304982","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Tweeks are observed during nighttime and represent a response of the Earth-ionosphere waveguide excited by lightning strokes. Tweeks are formed by series of pulses consecutively reflected from the waveguide boundaries under different incident angles depending on a source-observer distance and effective ionosphere height along a propagation path. Using a source location technique described in our previous works we determined geometrical propagation path parameters such as source range, effective ionosphere height. We used then a time-frequency representation of the analyzed tweek waveforms to infer polarization parameters of the electromagnetic waves propagated under different incident angles as the first waveguide mode. Obtained dependencies show substantially different behavior in depend on a propagation path orientation in refer to the magnetic meridian.","PeriodicalId":235293,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Kharkov Symposium Physics and Engrg. of Millimeter and Sub-Millimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114862497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
