The concept of using this unstable resonator as a part of an active oscillating system is based on the following. The high quality factor resonator serves as an oscillating system in microwave oscillators. An increase of the quality factor of an oscillatory circuit leads to the reduction of excitation threshold of the oscillator and the increase of its frequency stability.","PeriodicalId":235293,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Kharkov Symposium Physics and Engrg. of Millimeter and Sub-Millimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127696440","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This model is intended to determine electric properties of crystalline dielectrics in the microwave region. The conditions, on which common wave equation for hybrid waves breaks up in two equations, were found. Their two solutions correspond to H- and E- modes. The SLAE for H-modes includes only component epsivz of dielectric permittivity tensor epsiv circ and that for E-modes includes components epsivx and epsivy. This allows one to determine the influence of each component of tensor epsiv circ on various modes separately. Using designed numerical algorithms and program software, the analysis has been carried out and the dependence of resonant frequencies on geometric size of structure and the filling material parameters, which are of practical interest (eigen H- and E- modes), have been received. Numerical data, owing to which the ends of waveguides are practically non-radiating, are shown. Obtained results allow us to use waveguide junctions for nondestructive measurement of characteristic of filling substances.","PeriodicalId":235293,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Kharkov Symposium Physics and Engrg. of Millimeter and Sub-Millimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115877001","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Magnetic materials with high microwave magnetic performance are useful for many technical applications. However, bulk rather than planar materials are frequently needed for the applications. Bulk materials with high microwave permeability may be produced as laminated structures of thin ferromagnetic films, possibly patterned. The paper presents experimental data on the microwave permeability of such laminated structures based on Fe films. Possible technical applications of the materials under study include thin wideband radar absorbers and miniaturized patch antennas.","PeriodicalId":235293,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Kharkov Symposium Physics and Engrg. of Millimeter and Sub-Millimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115899152","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Changing the energy of electron beam, it is possible to control the amplitude-frequency spectrum of output multifrequency signal. There are such energies of electrons beam for which it is realized simultaneous amplification of all waves. The complete efficiency of the amplifier at increasing number of launched waves remains high enough. Numerical calculations allowed to make conclusion about necessity of the account of excitation of combination components as due to their excitation and further amplification makes it possible to obtain a broadband output signal of device. In this case, an initial narrow-band signal is broaden, substantially due to amplification with high-frequency components.","PeriodicalId":235293,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Kharkov Symposium Physics and Engrg. of Millimeter and Sub-Millimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132537568","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The polarimetric microcompact range (PMCR) was used for amplitude-phase scattering patterns measuring. PMCR created on the base of quasioptical transmission line, namely circular hollow dielectric waveguide (HDW), quasioptical and waveguide functional devices, and elements of SHF circuit has been used for amplitude-phase patterns of object scattering. The measured results of polarization scattering matrix (PSM) elements and their backscattering patterns (monostatic case) for a number of samples, namely thin metal plates of square cross-section have been presented. The patterns have been obtained for each plate in proper linear polarization basis. Comparison of experimental SMR elements patterns for plates in NMMW band with geometrical theory of diffraction (GTD) data was made.","PeriodicalId":235293,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Kharkov Symposium Physics and Engrg. of Millimeter and Sub-Millimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130077902","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
