Synthetic aperture antennas enable to design a portable, light weight, easy to mount device with high speed of operation suitable for SAR imaging in quasi-real time while Ka-band noise waveform signals provide all-weather high resolution, high electromagnetic compatibility and interference immunity. Experiments have shown a rather high stability and repeatability of the measurements due to both the high quality of the equipment and advanced signal processing methods. The SAR system designed is an innovative instrument for solving new tasks of precise remote monitoring of various large objects, such as sealing of big halls, dams, bridges, TV towers, hangars, etc.","PeriodicalId":235293,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Kharkov Symposium Physics and Engrg. of Millimeter and Sub-Millimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"07 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127375490","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The differential Doppler velocity of raindrops carries the important information on microstructure of rain and can be used in order to measure the rain intensity. However turbulence decreases this effect and should be taken into consideration as well. Application of independent turbulence-related variables can improve the reliability and accuracy of radar measurements in rain. Measurements of weather objects by Doppler-polarimetric radar can be very useful to solve wave propagation problems for the tasks of microwave remote sensing, communications and the radar's ability to detect targets embedded in high clutter background.","PeriodicalId":235293,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Kharkov Symposium Physics and Engrg. of Millimeter and Sub-Millimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115262697","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is due to the many variables and considerations that must go into developing characterization test fixtures for I/O cells in the 5 to 10 Gbps range. The purpose of these fixtures is to provide the best possible signal integrity of multi-gigabit data signals between the ATE and the device under test (DUT). One of the variables and considerations that needs to be controlled is the correct choice of dielectric material. Although there is a significant amount of work on dielectric loss for microwave applications, high-speed digital applications have different requirements given the broad frequency bandwidth of digital data patterns, as well as the high density of the I/O interconnects. Modern integrated circuits might have hundreds of differential high speed I/O cells requiring complex multilayer printed circuit boards (PCB) composed of different dielectric materials to be utilized for the test fixtures.","PeriodicalId":235293,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Kharkov Symposium Physics and Engrg. of Millimeter and Sub-Millimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122678261","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
