Herein, a high-performance Ni-N doped porous carbon catalyst was prepared through pyrolysis of hydrogen containing peptone, NiCl 2 , and NaCl made by a freeze dry method. The Ni-N-doped porous carbon catalyst displayed an excellent performance of CO 2 electroreduction with a Faraday efficiency of 92.0% at − 0.66 V ( vs . RHE), 550 mV overpotential , and 2.5 mA · cm − 2 current density. The catalytic performances were attributed to the Ni-N active sites and porous structures. In addition, CO 2 electroreduction to CO was performed continuously by using solar energy, which may provide a valuable reference for carbon cycle in future.","PeriodicalId":23447,"journal":{"name":"University Chemistry","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70220707","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The discrepancies can be ascribed to the neglect of variation of the vapor pressure of curved surface to plain surface with temperature, and the misusing of Kelvin equation for small bubble during boiling. The way to reduce the discrepancy is introduced while the applicability of Kelvin equation is discussed.","PeriodicalId":23447,"journal":{"name":"University Chemistry","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70221520","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to prevent the infection caused by crowd, “Suspended classes but not stop teaching and learning” was proposed by the Ministry of Education. Students in local colleges and universities show obvious variations in self-discipline, consciousness and initiative. Such a practical situation brings us a great challenge to effectively carry out the online teaching for chemistry major. Taking the online teaching of “Materials Chemistry” as an example, this paper introduces the process of online teaching of chemistry major in the local universities. In view of the problems encountered in the teaching process and the solutions adopted, this paper summarizes the issues needing attention during the online teaching. It is hoped that this paper can provide some useful reference for the online teaching of chemistry major in local colleges and universities.","PeriodicalId":23447,"journal":{"name":"University Chemistry","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70222010","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on Chinese University MOOC platform, this paper establishes SPOC on campus with the open online course Organic Chemistry as the online learning resource. Before class, students learn online video and self-testing. The teacher will answer questions and interact with students through live broadcasting. The student will practice and consolidate after school. “One-stop” solves the learning needs of the three stages of online flipped classroom and demonstrates online flipped classroom teaching effect.","PeriodicalId":23447,"journal":{"name":"University Chemistry","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70222426","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, the vapor-liquid phase diagrams of cyclohexane-ethanol under the conditions of no heat preservation, heat preservation and temperature compensation are drawn and compared. Results show that there is a great difference between the temperatures of boiling point and dew point both for the vapor-liquid equilibrium system with the simple heat preservation or without the heat preservation, and the vapor-phase lines based on the boiling point temperature are seriously distorted. With the temperature compensation for the system, the two vapor-phase lines according to the boiling point and the dew point temperature are in good agreement, which means the problem of vapor-phase fractionation effect has been solved.","PeriodicalId":23447,"journal":{"name":"University Chemistry","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70215292","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
