This is a case report of a woman with unusual liver metastases from a recurrent invasive ductal carcinoma via a lymphatic route draining the outer part of the breast to the liver running parallelly with the right rectus abdominis muscle, depicted by preoperative sentinel node lymphoscintigraphy. Realizing this route of metastasis can impact survival, as it has a favourable prognosis compared with haematogenous metastasis, we want to draw attention to this.</p>","PeriodicalId":23428,"journal":{"name":"Ugeskrift for laeger","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-09-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"142354744","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The use of OTSC and THA may have the potential to increase the rate of endoscopic haemostasis in PUB not responding to conventional endoscopic treatment. In patients at high risk of recurrent bleeding, the performance of PE after achieving endoscopic haemostasis can reduce the risk of rebleeding and the need for surgery. Early therapy is important while there is no approved pharmacological approach. The diagnosis is challenging, and it often requires multiple surgeries before the correct treatment can be provided. In this case report, a five-year-old boy had two surgeries on suspicion of a right-sided inguinal hernia, but no hernia was found. After the second operation, the suspicion of a hernia was still present. This led to a diagnostic laparoscopy, where a bilateral femoral hernia was found.
