Cardiology at Amiri Medical Complex is developing as a key department, which has already treated a record number of cardiac patients in the history of Afghanistan in just three years of its establishment. The main focus of the cardiology department is the delivery of top-quality and timely cardiac care to patients in the hospital setting that is critical to its success. Over the last three years, there has been a significant improvement and many trail blazing achievements specifically in diagnosis and management of adult and pediatric cardiac patients with a mortality rate which is unique in the heart health history of Afghanistan and comparable to international centers.","PeriodicalId":232854,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Medical - Clinical Research & Reviews","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121641805","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With some people, it can appear after a period of puberty, however with the others; it can emerge in their young age and last continuously in their adulthood. Current research has shown that acne among mature patients occurs usually after the age of 25. The purpose of the following work it to evaluate the treatment procedures based on Ferulic acid application and d`Arsonwal's high frequency currents in the context of reduction of exanthema in inflammatory and noninflammatory stage among patients above the age of 25 with mild and moderate type of acne. 60 women took part in the research and they were randomly divided into two groups. Ferulic acid, manually applied on faces, was used on probands from the first group. On the other hand, the probands from the second group were treated with d`Arsonwal's currents, by using contact method in the area of skin on the face. The research conducted, proved positive effect on skin face of both Ferulic acid and d`Arsonwal's high frequency currents. As a result of application of one or the other series of treatments, the number of exanthema both inflammatory and non-inflammatory was significantly reduced. Combined treatment of acne vulgaris may be supported with success by procedures working externally on skin, such as emission of d`Arsonwal's currents and Ferulic acid application.","PeriodicalId":232854,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Medical - Clinical Research & Reviews","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133722695","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although it is considered a simple technique, we often observe poor quality results. Many Authors in the literature have published the rate of side effects like pain, post treatment discomfort, bruising, swelling and asymmetries in lip injection with hyaluronic acid considered common or very common in their experience. A cosmetic improvement of the lips involves many precautionary considerations. In this study we examine our single accredited outpatient cosmetic medicine and surgery center experience transitioning from the use of traditional injection technique to the use of Boodless Atraumatic Technique (BAT). Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis of all lip injection cases performed over a 1-year period from January 2017 to December 2017 by multiple physicians and surgeons in the practice. During the 1-year period, there were 360 lip enhancement with filler performed by three attending doctors. Post-treatment follow-up length and complications including swelling, bruising, long lasting edema (more than 14 days), infection, seroma, granuloma, skin necrosis and need for revision were noted. Results: Three of the most interesting findings were a significantly decreased pain level and discomfort, bruising and swelling in the BAT group (258 patients) where no pain occurred in 43.02%, light pain in 42.24%, moderate pain in 14.72%, intense or serious pain in 0%. Whereas serious pain occurred in the Traditional Infiltration Technique (TIT) group (102 patients) in 25.49%, intense pain in 68.62%, moderate pain in 5.88%, light or no pain in 0%. We found in the BAT group that bruising occurred in 3.87% vs 25.49% in the TIT group and swelling in 4.65% vs 29.41%. Other sensitive element was the decrease rate of long lasting edema (more than 14 days) with 0.77% in the BAT patients and 5.88% in the TIT group. Discussion: Pain level and discomfort in the Bloodless Atraumatic Technique Lip Injection Group were much lighter than that in the Traditional Infiltration Technique Group, which demonstrated that BAT significantly reduced post treatment pain and discomfort. Improvement of facial harmony requires a strong knowledge of the anatomy. Most lip injections are performed without a clear understanding of the underlying oral and perioral anatomy. Conclusions: The Bloodless Atraumatic Technique allows to enhance the lip with control and precision without violating important and sensitive anatomical structure like mucosa, labial arteries and orbicularis oris muscle which reduces pain, postoperative discomfort, swelling, bruising, long lasting edema and the possibility of infection. Bloodless Atraumatic Technique Lip Injection offers objective improvements in side effects and complications, recovery and","PeriodicalId":232854,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Medical - Clinical Research & Reviews","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134196754","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So far, no effectiveness comparison of a different ethnicity groups in regards to pubic laser hair removal was made. The aim of the study is to show the subjective and objective effectiveness and side effects of diode (805 nm) laser hair removal in pubic area in groups of various ethnicity. The study was conducted in UK and Poland on the group of 205, 20-40 years old patients qualified for the course of 6 treatments after the initial interview and patch test. Ethnicity was defined by questionnaire in accordance with Census 2001. 111 of 205 participants were divided into the 4 groups: White 29 participants: people with white skin, Black 22 participants: people with black skin, Asian 28 participants: people from Asia, Mix Raced 32 participants: people whose ancestors had both: White, Black or Asian skin. Effectiveness was analysed in the area of 1 cm2 of the treated skin as the percentage of hair reduction. Objective effectiveness analysis in groups: 92.5% for Asians, 81.5% for participants with Black skin, 86.9% for Mix raced participants and 88.2% for White skin participants was different to the subjective analysis: 88.9% for Asians, 78.0% for Black skin participants, 84.4% for Mixed Raced participants and 82.3% for White skin participants. Side effects were correlated with ethnicity (p = 0.001). The highest percentage of complications occurred in the group of Black skin 81,82% and Mixed Raced 81.25% participants. The best results in the studied area were observed objectively and subjectively in a group of Asian participants. The subjective assessment of the hair reduction effectiveness was significantly lower than the objective assessment of the percentage of hair reduction in each of the studied ethnic groups.","PeriodicalId":232854,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Medical - Clinical Research & Reviews","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128684637","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Local and multinational companies develop and introduce many new products for Turkish dietary supplements market. However, in marketing literature, a few academic researchers could be found regarding Turkish consumers’ behavior about dietary supplements. Understanding the awareness and utilization rates of nutritional support products is important at the point of designing strategies for producers, the state and related organizations. This general exploratory research was carried out in 60 different pharmacies located in different regions of Turkey (Mediterranean, Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia, Southeastern Anatolia, Central Anatolia Region). Face-to-face interviews were conducted with 253 people aged 18 years and over from September 2017 to February 2018 (5 months). The data collected by the questionnaire includes the factors that affect the use of nutritional support products by respondents in the study, the recognition and consumption rates, the product content and how regularly they use it. Respondents were found to use products for immunity (21.03%) at the beginning of their nutritional support products usage. Omega 3 fish oil (26.98%), multivitamins (17.86%) and CoQ10 (7.94%) were the most preferred products. The rate of natural supplements usage by individuals who thought that use of natural supplements is crucial, is around %71.43.. We believe this study will lead to more detailed research on healthy lifestyle market in the future.","PeriodicalId":232854,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Medical - Clinical Research & Reviews","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129111487","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The exact cause has been unveiled only in few forms of dystonia, such as dopa – responsive dystonia, where dopamine deficiency has been established, while the cause of most others forms of dystonia remaining obscure. Numerous studies of these forms have detected neurotransmitters disturbance, but those reports are very contradictory. In present study we explore the latent factors unifying some biogenic amines together into clusters bearing common certain functional mission in norm and in pathologic states such as dystonia. We compare the results obtained in dystonia group and in control of group of patients observed for suspicion for neuroglial tumors and we established that latent factors, unifying groups of biogenic amines, differ between the D group and the control group. We also have compared these two groups by means of discriminative analysis and As a result of discriminate analysis we derived equations of canonical linear discriminate (classification) functions (LCF) that probably can detect or exclude dystonia at examination of latent forms or “formes frustes” of this disorder. We expect to get even much more evident result by recruiting healthy control and by widening the spectre of biogenic amines measured.","PeriodicalId":232854,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Medical - Clinical Research & Reviews","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134210489","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
