The RE hardware can release more than 50% CPU loads. Furthermore, if the approximated Phong method which is proposed is applied, 89% CPU operations are reduced by the RE. As the features of this design, the techniques including modified digital differential analyser (DDA), 2-level pipeline, and constant execution time for calculating cos/sup n/ /spl theta/ are proposed in RE. Three operation modes, Gouraud and Phong shading algorithm and image composition are incorporated in RE. Using the proposed method, we successfully designed the architecture of a tree-structured quadrature mirror filter (QMF) bank, which can also be used to implement discrete wavelet transforms. The features of the resulted shared architectures are that they keep the same topology of the original non-shared one and requires less power for delay registers. Moreover, 100% utilization can also be achieved, if the input rate of the system is not required to be constant. Several techniques are used in the sharing method. DDA-based circuits often provide high input impedance and simple external circuitry due to the feature of differential difference inputs. Therefore, DDA-based circuits are competitive alternatives to opamp-based circuits. In this paper, we will present the design of a DDA using a proposed linear V-I converter whose linearity is improved by the body effect. This DDA possesses almost rail-to-rail input common-mode range and output swing and is therefore suitable for low-voltage applications. The DDA was fabricated in a MOSIS 2 /spl mu/m p-well process, and its simulation and experimental results are provided. This paper presents a new formation based on the generalized inverse plant control for the color error reduction process. In our formulation, the printer input and scanner output corresponds to the input and output of a system plant respectively. Obviously, if the printer input equals the scanner output, then there are no color errors involved in the entire system. In other words, the plant becomes an identity system. To achieve this goal, a plant generalized inverse should be identified and added to the original system. Since the system of a combination of both scanner and printer is highly nonlinear, CMAC-based neural networks, which have the capability to learn arbitrary nonlinearity, are applied to identify the plant generalized inverse. The CMAC network is a perceptron-like feedforward structure with associative memory properties. Moreover, it learns orders of magnitude more rapidly than typical implementations of back propagation in the feedforward neural networks. GLMs have not so far been applied to electronic circuit design. The present paper describes a study of such dynamical properties for mutually coupled PLLs incorporating lag filters and triangular phase detectors. The system is analysed in the context of nonlinear dynamical system theory. The symmetry of the mutually coupled PLLs system reduces the original 4th order ordinary differential equation (ODE) that governs the phase dynamics of the voltage-controlled oscillators (VCO) outputs to the 3rd order ODE, for which the geometric structure of the invariant manifolds provides an understanding as to how and when lock-in can be obtained or out-of-lock behavior persists. In addition, two-parameter diagrams of the one-homoclinic orbit are obtained by solving a set of nonlinear (finite dimensional) equations. This graphical results are confirmed to be useful in determining whether the system undergoes lock-in or continues out-of-lock behavior by numerical simulations. Presented theoretical results make it possible to understand experimental results of mutually coupled PLLs on the onset of chaos using the geometry of the invariant manifolds, where the resultant dynamical chaotic phenomena is postulated to represent an unfolding of the orbit-flip homoclinic point. The coefficients of AR model can be easily obtained by a LMS prediction error filter. However, it is known that such filter will give bias coefficients when the input signal is corrupted by noise. In previous works, Treicher [1979] suggested the /spl gamma/-LMS algorithm to reduce the bias problem caused by Gaussian noise. This paper gives the theoretical analysis of the /spl gamma/-LMS algorithm. We derive the close form solution of the second order statistics of the tap-weight vector.
