The growing number of prescriptions of vitamin D by doctors during the COVID-19 pandemic and the increase in self-intake of vitamin D by the population carries the risk of exogenous hypervitaminosis D, or a syndrome known as vitamin D toxicity.\u0000\u0000Aim: to summarize the results of scientific research on the vitamin D toxicity, and some aspects related to its overdose.\u0000\u0000Material and Methods: used methods of content analysis, system and comparative analysis; materials of scientific reviews and separate researches devoted to biochemistry and toxicology of vitamin D (Elsevier, PubMed, ToxNet) with depth of search to 20 years.\u0000\u0000Results and Discussion. Due to the well-known health risks of vitamin D deficiency, it has become a popular dietary supplement, as evidenced by the progressive growth of both thematic scientific publications (PubMed) and its consumption in many countries around the world. The use of pharmaceuticals and dietary supplements is the most common cause of overdose. A review of cases of vitamin D toxicity caused by errors in prescribing or administering the required dose has shown that they may occasionally be accompanied by the development of intoxication. There are many forms of exogenous and endogenous vitamin D toxicity syndrome. Vitamin D toxicity syndrome includes the following symptoms: loss of consciousness, apathy, intermittent vomiting, abdominal pain, polyuria, polydipsia, dehydration, and hypercalcemia, which, although uncommon, can be life-threatening if not detected timely, and is an important symptom in the differential diagnosis in patients with hypercalcemia. Despite differing opinions on the target concentration of 25(OH)D or recommended doses of vitamin D for the general population, it was determined that the concentration of 25 (OH) D> 150 ng/ml is a significant risk of developing vitamin D toxicity syndrome, and vitamin D deficiency treatment regimens at high doses require regular monitoring.\u0000\u0000Conclusions: There is a growing public awareness of the health benefits of vitamin D; however, the increase in its consumption carries, inter alia, the risk of a specific syndrome ‒ the vitamin D toxicity. The data on the content of macronutrients in the diets of the population of different age groups for the period 2004-2020, living in the settlements of the Kyiv region and exposed to the impact of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident, are presented.\u0000\u0000Aim of the Research. The aim of the study was to summarize data on the content of minerals in the diet of the population living under the influence of radiation exposure. The main attention is paid to organic elements (phosphorus, potassium, sulphur, chlorine, calcium, magnesium and iron), which form almost 98% of the chemical composition of the cell. Their total content is up to 1.9 % of the mass of the human body.\u0000\u0000Material and Methods. To achieve this goal, a set of methods was used, in particular: bibliographic — a theoretical analysis was carried out and the data from scientific literature was generalized; questionnairesurvey — the actual content of macronutrients in the diets of different age groups and mathematics were analyzed. Statistical data processing was carried out using modern methods of medical statistics.\u0000\u0000Results and Discussion. Regular provision of the body with all the necessary nutrients is of great importance for maintaining health, performance and active longevity of a person. Our longterm research conducted among the population of ecologically dangerous territories of Ukraine found that the content of macronutrients in the diets of adults, children and pregnant women did not meet physiological needs.\u0000\u0000Conclusion. The content of macronutrients in the diet of the surveyed population was unbalanced. Recently, kratom has been cultivated on different continents and entered the market under the name "Kратом", in English-language sources - "Kratom". Kratom leaves are dried and sold in the form of green powder, tablets, capsules, extracts and gummies. In Ukraine, kratom is sold under hundreds of commercial names on the Internet as "Kratom", "Kratom product", "Kratom organic tea", "Kratom ethnic tea", "Kratom tea" and others. More than 40 structurally related alkaloids, as well as several flavonoids, terpenoid saponins, polyphenols and various glycosides were found in kratom leaves. The pharmacological and toxic effects of kratom for most of its components have not been studied enough. As part of the longitudinal study "Family and Children of Ukraine", the personal data of 989 adolescents aged 15-18 years (499 boys and 490 girls) and 1075 mothers were analyzed. Bibliosemantic, sociological and medical-statistical research methods are used.\u0000\u0000Results and Discussion. During 2014-2019, the share of children and adolescents hospitalized with acute poisoning in the intensive care unit of the National Children's Specialized Hospital "OKHMATDIT" of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine increased from 20.6 to 36.7 %. Research has shown that the vast majority of Ukrainian adolescents (75 %) consume alcohol during their lifetime; 31.0 % of adolescents have done so more than 10 times, and their first attempt to drink alcohol occurs at the age of 9 years and younger among both boys and girls.\u0000\u0000The survey found that 50.6% of adolescents confirmed that they had consumed alcohol in the past 30 days, of which 7.5% of adolescents admitted that they did so more than once a week.\u0000\u0000The survey allowed to determine the peculiarities of the use of various alcoholic beverages by adolescents in Ukraine: teenagers first "get acquainted" with beer, wine or champagne at the age of 14-15; alcoholic cocktail teenage girls consume for the first time 2 times more often at the age of 15; strong alcoholic beverages are most often consumed for the first time by adolescents aged 15–16 years.\u0000\u0000It was found that only half of the surveyed mothers (48.4 %) were aware of the fact of alcohol consumption by their adolescent children, while 40.7 % of mothers categorically forbid their children to drink alcohol, 46.5 % of mothers consider it undesirable, 8.7 % mothers do not prohibit alcohol in small quantities.\u0000\u0000Conclusions. The results of the study prove that the problem of alcohol consumption by children and adolescents in Ukraine remains relevant and requires immediate development of preventive measures for implementation in both school and family environments.
