Researchers started modeling transaction data through neural network embedding, which enables unsupervised learning of contextual similarities between attributes in shopping transactions. However, every study brings different approaches for embedding customer's transactions, and clear preprocessing guidelines are missing. This paper reviews the recent literature of neural embedding for customer behavior and brings three main contributions. First, we provide a set of guidelines for preprocessing and modeling consumer transaction data to learn neural network embeddings. Second, it is introduced a multi-task Long Short-Term Memory Network to evaluate the guidelines proposed through the task of purchase behavior prediction. Third, we present a multi-contextual visualization of customer behavior embeddings, and its usefulness for purchase prediction and fraud detection applications. Results achieved illustrate accuracies above 40%, 60%, and 80% for predicting the next days, hours, and products purchased for some customers in a dataset composed of online grocery shopping transactions.","PeriodicalId":231209,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2019 3rd International Symposium on Computer Science and Intelligent Control","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126366711","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, an integrated round trip path dual registers (RTPDR) is presented which combines Round Trip Paths (RTP) and Dual Registers (DR) for detection and classification of node failure, node reboot and link failure diagnosis. Round trip path is adopted for nodes grouping and threshold monitoring. Detection and classification of faults are done by comparison of dual registers using each path traversed by a packet from the source node. Two different registers are kept and updated respectively depending on the path traversed by a packet to detect anomalous behaviors. The results from simulation in MATLAB demonstrates the proposed technique achieves better detection latency, false alarm rate and false positive rate when compared with existing protocols.","PeriodicalId":231209,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2019 3rd International Symposium on Computer Science and Intelligent Control","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116856237","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One promising approach to mitigating this issue in future computer systems is processing in memory (PIM). PIM facilitates the stacking of processing logic and memory dies in a single package and minimizes data movement by placing the computation close to where the data reside. As this approach, however, requires compatibility with existing computer architectures and operating systems, it has not been widely adopted. To meet the need for compatibility, this paper proposes a hardware architecture of PIM and verifies the functions of the proposed architecture by an embedded system based on the PIM platform, which employs a commercialized application processor (AP) and a standard memory protocol. We also propose a PIM-based data-centric accelerator for image processing. Experiments involve the development of AP- and PIM-based application programs for processing a median filter that uses a 24-bit color image with a 512 × 512 resolution test image. Using the same test image, we measure the median filter processing times and compare the processing times of the AP and the proposed PIM. Results of the experiments show that the processing time of PIM is about 84% faster than that of the AP.","PeriodicalId":231209,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2019 3rd International Symposium on Computer Science and Intelligent Control","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114500269","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Especially in the support phase, the exoskeleton contacts with the environment, not only to make the exoskeleton adapt to the changes of the environment, but also to track of the position. So, a position-based impedance control strategy is proposed. In this paper, dynamic model of exoskeleton system in the support phase is established, an impedance-based gait tracking controller is designed and also proved the stability of the closed-loop system.","PeriodicalId":231209,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2019 3rd International Symposium on Computer Science and Intelligent Control","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131346555","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents a medical disease prediction system by using the AIS algorithm. The proposed system is implemented and tested on two different datasets which include breast cancer data and heart disease data with four different types of illness. Two other well-known data mining techniques that are Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) and K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) are also tested on the same datasets to make a comparison in terms of their classification efficiency. By using AIS,. We also analyze accuracy obtained on breast cancer dataset is 98.08% and heart disease dataset is 70%. In addition to this, AIS algorithm gives the best classification results for both datasets the positive effect of preprocessing data before classification. Clearly, decreasing the number of different values that a class can be assigned for multivariate classes and assigning weights to each feature in heart disease dataset give prediction result with higher accuracy.","PeriodicalId":231209,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2019 3rd International Symposium on Computer Science and Intelligent Control","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133944609","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

And sample preprocessed accounts for more than 60% of the entire sample analysis process. In order to improve efficiency and accuracy, an automated multi-sample preprocessing platform was designed and its automation control system was discussed. The functions of the platform mainly include: transferring 10 kinds of solvents, processing 96 samples, ultrasonic treatment, automatic cleaning. The control system of the platform is mainly composed of computer, PLC, syringe pump, distribution valve, sensor, stepping motor, ultrasonic pool, and the three-dimensional motion system. The platform adopts distributed control by LabVIEW and PLC, with friendly human-computer interaction interface and complete function. The platform selects six syringe pumps equipped with a dispensing valve to achieve the fluid transfer accuracy and efficiency requirements of the platform. The six syringe pumps are independent of each other, and the syringe range is 50μL~50ml.Its working mode divided into normal mode and micro-step mode, which can achieve high throughput and ensure its volume accuracy. Install some proximity switches on the 3D motion system to achieve zero and limit point positioning for each axis. The PLC compares the current position with the received position command to obtain the difference in orientation. Finally, the PLC sends the required pulses to the stepper motor driver, and the proximity switch can verify the sample position.","PeriodicalId":231209,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2019 3rd International Symposium on Computer Science and Intelligent Control","volume":"81 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124946813","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

{"title":"Framework for Continuous System Security Protection in SWaT","authors":"Cheah Huei Yoong, Jonathan Heng","doi":"10.1145/3386164.3387297","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1145/3386164.3387297","url":null,"abstract":"Researchers implemented algorithms and attack techniques in programmable logic controllers of cyber physical systems like water treatment testbeds and power testbeds. However, in a reallife water plant such methods are almost impossible to be realised because the public utility company will not risk the damages may cause to the existing system by the software changes as the plant is actively producing water for the consumers. A reduction or stoppage of water due to system modifications will affect the daily life of many people. Thus, this paper focuses on the architecture framework to generate, run, and test research techniques particularly machine learning invariants in Secure Water Treatment (SWaT) that can be used in a real-life water treatment plant through a non-intrusive method. This framework has been thoroughly tested in SWaT using single or multiple invariants. The software in this framework allows substantial code reuse of data structures and algorithms. The programs to generate, run, and test the invariants are written in Python. The supervised machine learning invariants can detect anomalies without any false alarms for continuous systems in SWaT through physical device attacks and software generated attacks. This framework is also applicable to other cyber physical systems like power and gas testbeds with certain modifications such as the access interfaces and invariant designs. The future direction of this research is to provide a wider coverage protection solution framework to detect anomalies for discrete and continuous systems in cyber physical systems.","PeriodicalId":231209,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2019 3rd International Symposium on Computer Science and Intelligent Control","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115209619","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In such a platform, a multi-priority control strategy is required to be implemented in every node in order to dynamically optimise the tradeoffs between collision avoidance and formation control w.r.t. given system constraints, e.g. on energy and response time, by reordering priorities in run-time and selecting the suitable formation and collision avoidance approach based on the state of the swarm, i.e., the kinematic parameters and geographical distribution of the nodes as well as the location of the observed obstacles. In this paper, we propose a method for formation/collision co-awareness with the goal of energy consumption and response time minimisation. The algorithm consists of two partial nested feedback-based control loops and based on three observations: 1) for formation maintenance the relative location of the neighbour nodes; 2) observation of an obstacle by a local sensor, represented by a boolean value, used for both formation control and collision avoidance; and 3) in critical situations for avoiding collisions, the distance of an obstacle to the node. The obtained comprehensive experimental results show that the proposed approach appropriately keeps the formation during the swarm's travel in the presence of different obstacles.","PeriodicalId":231209,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2019 3rd International Symposium on Computer Science and Intelligent Control","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121885827","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This communication uses the shared data; the data of communication is subject to many security issues, in particular the evaluation of the data exchanged confidence between the nodes. The notion of trust ensures the integrity of the information received. In this article, we propose a new and effective mechanism for estimating the value of trust in a communication process within networks (VANET). This value depends on three parameters: Beacon Correct Received (BCR), Beacon Errors Received (BER) and Communication Time (TC). These parameters concern the behavior of the Beacon message, and to do this we will apply the hash technique to the Beacon data. This mechanism checks the parameters by Cluster Head (CH), then CH sends the three types of variables related to Road Side Units (RSU), then RSU calculates the confidence value.","PeriodicalId":231209,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2019 3rd International Symposium on Computer Science and Intelligent Control","volume":"101 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120873760","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
