Abstract
The vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) permit communication between the nodes (vehicle and infrastructure). This communication uses the shared data; the data of communication is subject to many security issues, in particular the evaluation of the data exchanged confidence between the nodes. The notion of trust ensures the integrity of the information received. In this article, we propose a new and effective mechanism for estimating the value of trust in a communication process within networks (VANET). This value depends on three parameters: Beacon Correct Received (BCR), Beacon Errors Received (BER) and Communication Time (TC). These parameters concern the behavior of the Beacon message, and to do this we will apply the hash technique to the Beacon data. This mechanism checks the parameters by Cluster Head (CH), then CH sends the three types of variables related to Road Side Units (RSU), then RSU calculates the confidence value.
