This competition repeats the history of the Soviet Union when  President Mikhail Gorbachev took office. During Gorbachev's reign, Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union. Political competition between the West, the United States  and the Soviet Union, makes Putin a communicator of world politics rivaling European and American leaders. Following the split of the Soviet Union, there was a cold war between the United States and Russia, leading to the emergence of a single American superpower. By the end of 2021, Russia will have military units stationed close to the border with Ukraine. The reason behind the incident was Ukraine's desire to join NATO. Putin sent forces to assault Ukraine on February 24, 2022, as a result of this political phenomenon. Conspiracy theory is employed in this study. Along the way, being independent or mostly known as \"indie\" is increasingly popular and then has its own meaning for each musician who adopts and practices it. In addition, the role of the media in music activities is also inevitable. Whether it is  to maintain their relationships with audiences, share informations, or brand theirselves, they do it through the media. This research will provide a typification of how subjective meaning of being independent can be seen from the use and preferences of media by indie musicians. Researchers interviewed four musicians who live in Bandung. Each of the musicians was  interviewed at different times and places. The results show, there are three main types of indie musicians: The Idealists, The Moderates, and The Opportunists. Each type of indie musicians has their own characteristics regarding how they relate to the media. With this kind of typification, third parties (i.e governments, corporations, grassroots communities, etc) that  want to build mutual relationships with independent musicians in Bandung can be clearer about which musicians are most appropriate to meet their needs.","PeriodicalId":228204,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Komunikasi Ikatan Sarjana Komunikasi Indonesia","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134360656","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, not many scholars are interested in doing this research. Based on this fact, we conducted a research on the ideal position of a science article writer. It  turns out that he definition of science writer has changed in Indonesia. Quantitative content analysis of articles reported by The Conversation Indonesia during December 2021 found that the writerss motivated the public to understand and use scientific principles to meet their daily needs. The results of in-depth interviews with three prominent professors at Universitas Gadjah Mada confirm the same fact. They do not just tell the object of research in a certain context. This fact certainly needs to be imitated by other science writers. However, there is a basic recipe that must be practiced by other science writers. The practice of the recipe will make them autonomous and responsible to society. Thus, the article will explain the ways that can be taken to make it happen.","PeriodicalId":228204,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Komunikasi Ikatan Sarjana Komunikasi Indonesia","volume":"10 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129048257","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In April 2021, the court ruled for Derek Chauvin, the police officer who shot George Floyd. In addition, there are still many shootings of black citizens in the United States and various other countries. This study aims to determine the spread of #BlackLivesMastter and public opinion on Twitter during 20 – 27 April 2021 regarding Black Lives Matter. This research uses a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative method is used to see the distribution of 2,500 sample tweets using Netlytic.org and Gephi. The qualitative method is conducted to analyze public opinion about Black Lives Matter. The theory used is Computer-Mediated Communication, Public Space, and Critical Discourse Analysis. The results showed that opinions were dominated by positive opinions with 71.76%, negative opinions with 13.08% and irrelevant opinions with 15.16%. The positive opinions are dominant because they have succeeded in creating empathy, anger, and criticism, have political interests, and are voiced by political elite accounts, media, NGOs, and celebrities. Negative opinions are voiced by two main political elites and Twitter users who are not well known so they are considered personal opinions. Irrelevant opinions are voiced by Twitter users in more private spaces and are used to attract public attention.","PeriodicalId":228204,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Komunikasi Ikatan Sarjana Komunikasi Indonesia","volume":"100 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127140882","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In enhancing this approach a promotional video of Java, called  Jiwa Jagad Jawi was launched in 2022 in a theme of rediscovering the mind, body, and soul of Java whilst promoting several destinations in Java. The video ignited multiple reaction videos from Youtubers around the world, a vernacular form of visual production where the Youtuber reacts to a certain media content. Reaction videos towards Jiwa Jagad Jawi holds an interpretation of Java from the creator as well as a production of representation of Java as a destination in the text. Thus, putting video reactions of Jiwa Jagad Jawi as a digital work that extends its designated promotional means with a situated cultural experience of the creator; reframing narration of the destination to their viewers and followers. The present study focuses on “reaction videos” on YouTube towards Jiwa Jagad Jawi in exploring representation and interpretation of the culture and destination. The exploration of interpretation and production in reaction videos of tourism storynomics may offer an understanding to the dynamics of tourism promotional videos in this digitalscape. For the analysis of this exploration, an audience reception framework situated in cultural studies is used to study the reaction videos and comments. The study has found reaction videos as a significant promotional tool that drives further narrations of Indonesia and the reproduction of perceived Java as a destination of peace, serenity, mystical and culturally rich destination.","PeriodicalId":228204,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Komunikasi Ikatan Sarjana Komunikasi Indonesia","volume":"396 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129224427","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The election-winning team, especially spin doctors, bears an effort to conduct proper political communication. The team developed also requires support including qualified political experience of its members to build a positive public image and opinion about the candidate. This study aims to investigate the role of spin doctor political communication by legislative candidates in winning the most votes in the Administrative District of Seribu Islands Regency in the 2019 election by using the theory of persuasion communication and Political Communication proposed by Dan Nimmo. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The results showed that to understand the characteristics of voters, the spin doctor mapped voters in all parts of the Administrative District of Seribu Islands Regency and conveyed political messages that were easily accepted by the public. This political message was delivered persuasively by the spin doctor team to build a positive image of one of the legislative candidates, H. Muhammad Idris, among the people of the Administrative District of Seribu Islands Regency. Positive public opinion is built through persuasive communication to constituents face-to-face with a family approach. The effort to build positive public opinion is also supported by the personality of the candidate, who is known as a generous person and likes to meet his constituents directly. This behavior makes people perceive the candidate positively and believe that the candidate has had a positive image for a long time, not only at the time of the election. The research results also indicate that building an image properly without public lies is more manageable for constituents to accept and remember.","PeriodicalId":228204,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Komunikasi Ikatan Sarjana Komunikasi Indonesia","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125487053","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By analyzing infographics from popular media platforms in Indonesia, such as Katadata.co.id and Tirto.id, this research aims to fill the existing gap and find visual trends and preferences relevant to health communication. The theoretical framework draws upon concepts from visual communication, information design theory, and health communication. Using a qualitative approach and content analysis techniques, the study examines a sample of infographics from the aforementioned media platforms, categorizing the visualization and showing key trends and preferences. The findings reveal that both media outlets predominantly utilize illustrations, graphics, and text elements rather than charts. Bar graphs and column charts are the most widely used chart types, with Katadata.co.id showing higher frequency of chart elements compared to Tirto.id. Additionally, Katadata.co.id presents a greater number of interactive charts. The colors commonly employed for charts include blue, yellow, orange, and brown. However, the study does not delve into underlying reasons for these visual trends, whether they stem from specific visual strategies employed by the media or are influenced by other factors. The research findings contribute to the development of visually appealing and easily understandable infographics for policymakers and graphic designers.","PeriodicalId":228204,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Komunikasi Ikatan Sarjana Komunikasi Indonesia","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115289074","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They may save their lives if they receive greater attention and support, especially from the closest people in their community besides people who have got support from the community to recover faster from the virus. The act of kindness is a prosocial action in this form called personal social responsibility (PSR). The objectives of the study are to elaborate on the prosocial behavior of PSR and provide a campaign strategy for encouraging people to carry out PSR activities in their community as prosocial action or altruism to support COVID-19 sufferers, especially those who self-isolate and are infected by COVID-19. This study uses a systematic literature review as its method. Data was collected by searching and accessing relevant literature. The data was analysed based on a thematic and descriptive analysis of the selected literature. The study found that PSR plays a significant role in overcoming social burdens among citizens, including in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. To articulate the PSR Campaign, the researcher refer to communication strategies and social campaign models. Through the campaign, prosocial behaviors must generate in many terms of giving product, money, thought, time, or other forms of concern related to feelings.","PeriodicalId":228204,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Komunikasi Ikatan Sarjana Komunikasi Indonesia","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114886169","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Various comments appeared on social media. This study aims to: (1) find out the issues carried in the #IKNNusantara hashtag network; (2) categorize comments into negative, positive, and neutral sentiment categories; (3) find the structure and relationships of the actors in the network. The research methodology is quantitative research approach, the SNA (Social Network Analysis) method using NodeXL software and Sentiment Analysis using the online application Brand24.com on the hashtag #IKNNusantara on Twitter. The results of sentiment analysis show that the conversation is dominated by neutral sentiment. The total number of tweets up to February 16, 2022, was 255. SNA results show that the network density between actors in #IKNNusantara is still low at 0.23 percent. The network diameter describes the network pattern spreads and the cohesiveness between actors is low. The most influential actors based on the value of centrality are the accounts @jokowi and @ir with the highest in-degree values, which shows that a lot of talks are directed to this account. Accounts @d_n4bil5 and @newiding30 who have the highest out-degree are the most active in disseminating information. The @jokowi and @d_n4bil5 accounts serve as bridges because they have the highest betweenness value. Accounts @doddyjasmar and @royadam_lubis have the highest closeness values. Furthermore, the @d_n4bil5 and @langonlegend accounts with the highest eigenvector values are the actors with the most links to other actors. With this result, the government needs to continue to monitor the issue continuously and build awareness among netizens and the Indonesian people in general about the importance of IKN development. The use of social media focusing on delivering messages through the 7 (seven) most influential accounts above can have a significant impact. In terms of issue management, the government also needs to consider the most appropriate strategies to respond to issues according to the type of issue and the government's position on the issue.","PeriodicalId":228204,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Komunikasi Ikatan Sarjana Komunikasi Indonesia","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133546205","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

LSF authority is contained in Government Regulation No. 18 of 2014, where they play a role in protecting the public from negative films that can affect the cultural perspective of the community. LSF adapts to the social and cultural norms that apply in society, so if we look at film censorship institutions in other countries, the scope of films allowed is also different. For example, in the United States, films featuring sexual scenes are permitted, while in Malaysia, they are not. Likewise, films with sexual nuances and extreme violence are not allowed in Indonesia. LSF has also banned the screening of several films because they are not under social rules and norms. However, the work carried out by LSF is rarely known by the public, ranging from their working methods and institutional leadership to how they carry out their work programs. With this background, the author wants to know and understand the practice of good governance in Indonesia Censorship Film Institution and how the transformative approach is taken to bring about change in the organization. This study will use a qualitative approach with data collection through the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method and literature. The study found that transformative leadership accelerates changes in the LSF by creating innovations for better performance and making an inclusive work culture. This transformative leadership also tremendously affects how LSF implements good governance principles, and all indicators have been fulfilled. The relation and effect of transformative leadership and good governance are also discussed.","PeriodicalId":228204,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Komunikasi Ikatan Sarjana Komunikasi Indonesia","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124942841","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
