The ability of employees to show high performance in line with their business goals is directly related to their satisfaction with their jobs and workplace opportunities. This satisfaction is expressed with the concept of job satisfaction. Determining the job satisfaction levels of the employees and the factors affecting this situation is of great importance in terms of developing suggestions for increasing job satisfaction. In this study, the attitudes towards job satisfaction of people with the title of \"Forest Engineer\" working in the General Directorate of Forestry, a public institution, were measured. The study data were obtained by questionnaire technique. The survey was applied to 227 forest engineers working in the Regional Directorates of Forestry in the Mediterranean and Aegean regions. While preparing the questionnaire, scales for job satisfaction were used and adapted to forest engineers. SPSS statistical program was used in the evaluation of the data obtained and research hypotheses were investigated within the scope of management style, nature of the job, promotion, wages, additional opportunities, awards and allowances and communication factors. According to the research results, the factors affecting job satisfaction differ according to the age groups, seniority, work units and the region of employment of the employees, while the factors affecting job satisfaction do not differ according to gender and educational status.","PeriodicalId":227277,"journal":{"name":"TURKISH JOURNAL OF FOREST SCIENCE","volume":"83 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126275361","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is the fact that plant materials and grass areas with high water requirements in landscape design applications result in excessive use of water. In this context, the aim of this study is to determine the suitability of trees, Parks and Gardens Directorate in terms of xeriscapes and to offer suggestions for plants suitable for xeriscapes. The main material of the study is Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Park, Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu Park, Necmettin Erbakan Park located in the city center of Çankırı, as well as plant material used in these parks by Çankırı Municipality Parks and Gardens Directorate until 2021. The results of the study have shown that the plants used in the city parks in Çankırı consist of plant species with medium water demand. The study was concluded with suggestions for the use of naturally grown species in the city of Çankırı, according to the xeric landscape approach, in urban parks.","PeriodicalId":227277,"journal":{"name":"TURKISH JOURNAL OF FOREST SCIENCE","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116508363","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Of the total amount of 1.4 billion km 3 in the world, 97.5% of the water is found in the oceans and seas as salt water, and 2.5% as fresh water in glaciers, underground, rivers and lakes. Of the 2.5% of fresh water resources, 68.6% are in glaciers, 30.1% are underground and the remaining 1.3% are in rivers, lakes and the atmosphere as surface water. Arid and semi-arid regions, which constitute 30% of the terrestrial areas, are the most distressed areas in terms of water resources. Due to global warming, the unconscious use of natural resources, and the increase in the population, the demand for water is decreasing and the quality of water decreases.In this study, which was carried out in Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University Faculty of Forestry Başkonuş Research and Application Forest, it was determined how some elements in precipitation disposition (precipitation, throughfall, stem flow and surface runoff) showed a change on some water quality parameters in the red pine stand. For this purpose, mechanisms were established in the research area to collect water samples from rainwater, throughfall, stemflow runoff and surface runoff. In this study conducted in the Kahramanmaras Sutcu Imam University, Faculty of Forestry Baskonus Research and Application Forest, it was determined that some parameters precipitation (P), througfall (TF), stemflow (SF), and runoff (RO) and how these parameters change on some water quality parameters according to Turkish Pine stand. According to the data obtained, the average pH value was 6.66 in AA General, while the same value was determined as 6.23, 5.83 and 6.34 in OA Red Pine, GA Red Pine and YA Red Pine.. As a result of the measurements and statistical analyzes, significant differences were found between the rain water and the red pine stand. Particular attention should be paid not to replace the forested areas in the basins that supply water to the settlements with different land uses. Erosion and sedimentation from woodland cutting and transport should be minimized by careful planning.","PeriodicalId":227277,"journal":{"name":"TURKISH JOURNAL OF FOREST SCIENCE","volume":"8 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114103469","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research population consists of the employees at the wood-based board production facility of the company, which is a global power in the national and international arena and 153 people participated in this study. However, 143 questionnaire evaluations were received. SPSS 15.0 and AMOS 22.0 programs were used in the analysis of the data. As a result of the study, it was found that the dimensions of team and systems and supportive leadership, which are the dimensions of the learning organization scale, have a significant and positive effect on the dimension of trust in the organization. Also, the supportive leadership dimension affects the dimension of trust in the manager significantly and positively.
