Forests are areas where this type of tourism can realize in, a source of both mental and physical healing. In this study, it is aimed to determine the activities for forest bathing, which can be a new nature-based tourism type, and to suggest a route by choosing the Kafkasör Urban Forest study area. In addition, in questionnaire the emotional states of individuals participating in various activities in the Kafkasör Urban Forest were measured using the Positive and Negative Effect Schedule. In the study, it was determined that walking, contact with water and plants, eating and drinking, watching the scenery, meditation and sitting-relaxing activities are suitable activities for forest bathing. A route was created by determining the areas where these activities can be carried out. According to obtained data from questionnaire, it was determined that the participants had a decrease in their negative mood and an increase in their positive mood after participating in the activities in the Kafkasör Urban Forest. Some suggestions were proposed regarding the workshops that can be carried out within the scope of forest bathing in the urban forest and what should be done for forest bathing, which is a new concept for our country. Orman Mektebi’nden mezun olanlar ağırlıklı olarak keşif ve üretim işlerinde görev almıştır. Orman mektebinin sınırlı sayıda mezun vermesi, orman idaresinin yerelde tam olarak teşkilatlanamaması ve koruma hizmetlerinin yetersiz kalması nedeniyle teknik ormancılık faaliyetleri sürekli ötelemiştir. Orman Mektebi’nin açılışından yaklaşık 50 yıl sonra Hoca Ali Rıza Efendi ormanlarda bakım, imar ve ağaçlandırma yapacak uygulayıcı (ameli) elaman yetiştirilmesini gündeme getirmiştir. Birinci Dünya Savaşı yıllarında Orman Müşaviri olarak görev yapan Veith bu fikri desteklemiştir. Böylece ilki 1915 yılında Hendek’te ikincisi 1917 yılında Islahiye’de orman ameliyat mektebi açılmıştır. Ancak savaşın getirdiği zorluklar eğitim faaliyetlerini olumsuz etkilemiştir. Hendek Orman Ameliyat mektebi önce Adapazarı’na sonra Beykoz’a taşınmıştır. Islahiye Orman Ameliyat Mektebi ise önce Adana’ya sonra Beykoz’a nakledilmiştir. Islahiye Orman Ameliyat Mektebine iki dönemde toplam 60 civarında talebe başvurduğu halde sadece 15 talebe mezun olmuştur. Ancak bu mekteplerden mezun olanların azlığı veya çokluğundan ziyade uygulamaya geçilmiş olması önemlidir. Cumhuriyet Dönemi’nde orman tekniker okulları bu tecrübeyle kurulmuştur. One of the most effective ways to prevent this upward trend is to ensure that carbon remains in the “soil”. Combating desertification, stopping biodiversity losses and land degradation neutrality are considered as critical steps so that the carbon can be stored in the soil. However, “losses in the soil organic carbon”, which is an important biophysical indicator in ensuring Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) and seen among the ten main threats to soil by the Global Soil Partnership (GSP), makes its impact more intense today. In this context, more emphasis should be placed on activities aimed at determining the amount of soil organic carbon stocks, monitoring temporal and spatial variability, protecting and increasing the stock amount, and these studies should be diversified in order to prevent losses in the soil organic carbon and to ensure Sustainable Soil Management (SSM). In line with this information, the place and importance of the soil organic carbon in the SSM, especially the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, has been mentioned in the study. Various cutting forces arise based on mechanics of machining. It is stated that the cutting power and power consumption factors depend on the cutting forces. The cutting forces are especially used as the main output in the analysis of the cutting process and physico-mechanical cutting models are very important in understanding the cutting factors. Vibration, noise, temperature and machining defects as well as cutting power, surface and chip quality are usually not considered. Determination of optimal machining conditions with efficient and economical works are based on material, tool geometry and mechanics of machining in terms of obtaining smooth surfaces with the lowest power consumption in machining. In this research, the factors affecting the mechanics of machining in the processing of wood and wood-based materials are discussed. While approximately 15% of the world population (more than 1 billion people) consists of disabled individuals, it is stated that there are 2.511.950 disabled individuals registered in Turkey. The universal design approach has emerged as a result of the studies carried out to ensure that people with disabilities fully and equally benefit from all human rights and freedoms. With the acceptance of the concept of universal design, the \"Universal Standards Guide for Persons with Disabilities\" was created within the scope of the efforts to establish the standards. This study was carried out in order to evaluate the \"Engelliler Sevgi Park\" in Kahramanmaraş within the scope of the universal standards guide for persons with disabilities. In this context, the standards under the headings of pedestrian ways and sidewalks, ramps and stairs, pedestrian crossings and parking lots, and open and green areas in the guide and the current situation in the area were evaluated. In this study, the effect of ply combination on oven-dry specific gravity, equilibrium moisture content, thickness swelling and water absorption, tensile-shear strength, modulus of rupture, modulus of elasticity and compression strength parallel to grain of LVL manufactured from alder and poplar was investigated. Alder veneer, poplar veneer and urea formaldehyde glue were used in LVL production. LVLs were produced in a total of 10 different combinations. Oven-dry specific gravity, equilibrium moisture content, thickness swelling and water absorption, tensile-shear strength, modulus of rupture, modulus of elasticity and compression strength parallel to grain of test samples were determined according to TS 2472, TS 2471, TS EN 317, EN 314-1, TS 2474 and TS 2595, respectively. Based on this study, the highest modulus of rupture, modulus of elasticity, compression strength and oven dry specific gravity values were obtained with alder veneers used in all plies. On the other hand, the highest tensile-shear strength values were obtained with poplar veneers used in all plies. With the rising in the use of poplar veneer in LVL production, an increase in the amount of thickness swelling and water absorption was observed. Plants have become a material that is frequently encountered in many buildings, used to make the space attractive and increase productivity. Shopping centers, where people spend their free time and have social relations, are among the places where planting designs are frequently used, with circulation areas symbolizing streets and squares and spaces supporting recreational activities. In the study, the use of plant materials in the interiors of shopping centers is discussed through the example of the Forum Trabzon. The study consists of 3 stages. In the first stage, a literature background was created by researching the use of plant materials in interiors and shopping centers. The second stage includes the steps of obtaining the data related to the study area, revealing the plant use types in the study area and examining them in the context of functionality, naturalness (living/artificial), mobility (fixed/mobile), and design method (solitary/group). In the third stage, all the collected data was turned into a summary table and the results related to functionality, mobility, naturalness, and design method were revealed in line with the obtained data. As in the rest of the world, a large part of forest fires in Turkey are of anthropogenic origin. When the 2008-2018 General Directorate of Forestry (GDF) data are analysed 63.2% of the fires were caused by negligence, carelessness and accident, 7% by intention, 2% by natural causes, and 27.8% by unidentified other reasons. This research is aimed to measure the job satisfaction of the workers involved in combating forest fires within the scope of Kahramanmaraş Regional Directorate of Forestry. For this purpose, a face-to-face survey technique was applied to 85 randomly selected forest fire workers through a questionnaire consisting of 6 sections. The research data were analyzed by using reliability test, correlation and variance analysis and Duncan test method. It has been determined that there were statistical differences between forest firefighters aged 50 years and over and other age groups in terms of “Working environment and conditions”, “Communication”, “Job consciousness” and “Advancement-training opportunities”. The main reason for this difference is seen as the experience of forest firefighters aged 50 years and over. The importance levels of the factors affecting work satisfaction of the forest firefighters were evaluated. According to the results, “Salary” plays a significant role in work satisfaction and “Work peace” is at the second importance level. Timely and on-site response to these problems is important for landscape maintenance. Thus, this study aimed to establish a Web-Based Tree Information System for the trees, small trees and shrubs species in Turgut Özal boulevard between Yesilyurt and Battalgazi districts of Malatya. The first and the most important step in this information system is the inventory study. For each plant in this boulevard, terrestrial measurement and observation studies have been made and the data obtained have been digitized in ESRI ArcGIS environment and a web-based information system has been created for urban boulevards by sharing it with ArcGIS Online. In addition to that, an attribute table for each plant was created and inserted into the database by giving each tree an identification number (ID No). Each attribute table includes tree coordinates, tree height, dbh, crown diameter, scientific name, Turkish name, potential benefits, potential hazards, and carbon storage capacity. As a result, Turgut Ozal Boulevard is the first and the only boulevard that has a web-based information system, and demonstrated the applicability of carbon storage capacity of road plants. According to the results, in total 568 trees were inventoried in Turgut Ozal Boulevard; 117 of which are Cupressus leylandii , 84 of which are Platanus acerifolia , 74 of which are Platanus orientalis , 72 of which are Rosa spp ., 71 of which are Robinia pseudoacacia , 59 of which are Laurus nobilis , 43 of which are Aesculus hippocastanum , 30 of which are Acer Platanoides , and 2 of which are Thuja orientalis .
