This scheme ensures carbon monoxide (CO) regulation without decreasing combustion efficiency. In order to obtain the sludge combustion model, it is proposed to use a recurrent high order neural network (RHONN) which is trained with an extended Kalman filter (EKF) algorithm. The proposed neural controler performance is illustrated via simulation.","PeriodicalId":226547,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134020558","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed mobile robot satisfies a differential structure kinematic model which has undergone through extensive studies by several authors. The proposed scheme is a reactive control which aims to solve the task of tracking walls using a strategy, based on laser sensor measurements and inertial sensors. This reactive control algorithm uses the perception of the environment and takes actions that depend on the sensory information. All the actions performed by this robot happens in a controlled manner, which is achieved through proper planning of the system by introducing a built-in saturation into the PD controller for specific parts of each maneuver, which has given good results for a proposed task.","PeriodicalId":226547,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125613710","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Especially, women want to appear beautiful than all others. For this, they go to different parlors and invest lots of money and time. On the other hands, in some countries like Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, it is not normal practice for women to go out and got beauty treatments. In addition to these factors, on different occasions like wedding, engagement, and birthday, people wear special clothing items and do make over. Consequently it is difficult for them each time to go out or find any source who can give them suggestion for wearable and makeover. We resolve this issue by means of design and development of an expert system who suggests party wearable items by just simple clicks and small number of key strokes. The system extracts certain user information from her snap (skin ton, complexion, face shape, facial features) and asks other particulars like height, weight, as well as event type. These attributes are used to search the best related case from system's knowledge base and suggests user the cosmetics, hairstyle, eye wear, contact lenses, dress color, dress type, shoe, etc. The numbers of experiments are performed and the results obtained are matched with the expert's suggestions.","PeriodicalId":226547,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"252 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115231661","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a difficult task to carry out, since multiple troubles have to be overcome, from bad calibration of the equipment used to get the cerebral cortex images to several errors, such as spacial and geometrical distortions of MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) sequences. These problems present serious complications in activities such as radiosurgery, which requires high spacial accuracy. Through the implementation of algorithms capable of analyzing MRI sequences, it is possible to automatically detect scars in the cerebral cortex in an easy and successful manner. In addition, the automatic detection of scars decreases the subjectivity of human interpretations and serves as a tool to support diagnoses of diseases. In this paper, a new methodology to automatically detect scars in the cerebral cortex is proposed. The main goal of this methodology is to facilitate the analysis of intensities in T2/MRI sequences by using the region growing and thresholds, as well as artificial neural networks.","PeriodicalId":226547,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123963609","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A sliding kingpin technique is used in order to reduce or completely eliminate the off-tracking (oversteer phenomenon) that the trailers of this kind of systems exhibit when they are following trajectories with a certain radius of curvature. Numerical simulations show the performance of the control law and a comparison is made between the control law with and without the sliding kingpin technique.","PeriodicalId":226547,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"264 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124296878","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The CCII+s are designed using standard CMOS integrated circuit technology of 0.35μm. The main advantage is the very low parasitic resistance of the CCII+ at terminal X (RX), in order to accomplish the ideal behavior of the nullor. HSPICE simulation results are provided and the usefulness of the designed nullor is highlighted through the implementation of a current-mode universal filter and a sinusoidal oscillator.","PeriodicalId":226547,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123798536","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper we present an efficient and practical human-machine interface with an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). One of the main goals of the proposed interface is to be ubiquitous, so we moved all computational load to a mobile device running Android. Through this interface, the UAV responds to both movement and body gestures of the user; moreover, all processing tasks are done efficiently in the mobile device. We describe how we tracked the user throughout the video stream, which techniques we used and how we implemented them in our mobile platform for achieving a good level of performance.","PeriodicalId":226547,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124743323","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The evaluated models were: normalized RGB, HSV, YCbCr, CIE Lab, and CIE Luv. These color spaces attempt to separate the luminance from chrominance components, which is useful to make the face skin detection illumination independent. We used the Microsoft Kinect®sensor for acquiring 705 RGB images from 47 subjects in the age range from 18 to 45 years and distinct skin tones. Besides, each image was segmented manually to define true skin pixels. A probabilistic classifier was built for each tested colorspace to classify a pixel color into skin class or non-skin class. The Matthews correlation coefficient (MCC) was used to evaluate the quality of the computerized skin classification. The results pointed out that the CIE Lab colorspace reached the best MCC performance with median value equal to 0.779 and Qn estimator equal to 0.074. The worst performance was attached by normalized RGB with with median value equal to 0.606 and Qn estimator equal to 0.143.","PeriodicalId":226547,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"16 4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128896282","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Context-oriented programming languages support dynamic behavior adaptation, however, they do not support for dynamic changes in the application code. This makes that they provide little support for the runtime adaptation of application behavior in case of any instability encountered. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of DLA framework, which uses the application contract to separate the policy of layer activation from the application's business logic, and which uses object composition and delegation to dynamically adjust the behavior of objects. With these features, DLA framework enables the application behavior and code to be dynamically adapted according to its execution environment.","PeriodicalId":226547,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129431946","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed control strategy is decentralized and allows a subset of mobile agents (called leaders) to track a predetermined trajectory while they achieve a time-varying formation. Simultaneously, another subset of mobile agents (called followers) converge exponentially to the area bounded by the leaders. The results are presented for the front points of unicycle-type robots. The theoretical results are verified by numerical simulation.","PeriodicalId":226547,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"88 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130483149","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
