Context-oriented programming languages support dynamic behavior adaptation, however, they do not support for dynamic changes in the application code. This makes that they provide little support for the runtime adaptation of application behavior in case of any instability encountered. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of DLA framework, which uses the application contract to separate the policy of layer activation from the application's business logic, and which uses object composition and delegation to dynamically adjust the behavior of objects. With these features, DLA framework enables the application behavior and code to be dynamically adapted according to its execution environment.","PeriodicalId":226547,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129431946","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We provide a result showing the value of the positive Lyapunov exponent with respect to the relative delay of the nonlinear function. Rehabilitation therapies are procedures to restore the movement of a joint or a muscle due to illness or injury. The goal of rehabilitation therapeutic exercises is to perform specific movements that cause muscle activation to the patient, in order to recover and minimize the damage after a prolonged immobilization. In this paper, a hip rehabilitation robot using a virtual prototype is presented which provides flexion/extension movements with a Generalized Proportional Integral (GPI) controller that performs soft movements. A GPI controller is proposed for the efficient rejection of an unknown perturbation input due the weight of the leg and unexpected reflexes of the muscles during the therapy. Simulation results using a GPI controller in a robust perturbation rejection scheme for a trajectory tracking task are presented. In order to assess the performance and outstanding disturbance rejection capabilities of the proposed robust GPI controller, a comparison with a PD and PID controller is also presented.","PeriodicalId":226547,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"460 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124349109","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

ECT takes advantage of pores induction in order to facilitate the absorption of low concentration of cytotoxic drugs locally injected, and which lead to cellular apoptosis of neoplastic tissue. This work analyzes the application of an electroporation system, previously developed, into deep tissue such as breast tumors in which resistivity reduces drastically to a range from 100 Ωcm to 1 KΩcm depending on the type of tissue and operation frequency. The simulated electroporation system offers a sequence of rectangular pulse from 4 to 20 pulses with 200 V to 1000 V selected amplitudes, 50 μs to 500 μs width and repetition frequency of 1 Hz to 10 KHz, selected through a graphic interface according to user needs. In order to analyze the ablation zone and introduce the possibility of a treatment plan, it is presented a simulation of the application of ECT using the Finite Element Method (FEM) in a 3D model which includes healthy and cancerous breast tissue to determine the electric field distribution generated. Results show that 3D FEM modeling allowed the simulation of depth variation of electrodes in order to optimize the electric field generated and control the ablation zone in a neoplastic tissue. Besides, preliminary obtained 2D results suggest that ECT could be effective in deep tumor since it is exceeded the minimum electric field threshold of 100 V/cm, which is reported as enough to achieve reversible electroporation.","PeriodicalId":226547,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123462590","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This capacitor was designed primarily for being used in combination with a floating-gate MOS transistor (FGMOS) as the transducer device of an accelerometer. One of the plates of this capacitance structure is fixed and the other plate will move when a force is applied, causing a variable capacitance, this is achieved by a lateral comb configuration. This variable capacitance depends either on the mechanical properties of the material used in the structure, the undesired displacement caused by gravity and pull-in effect. Furthermore, the proposed design can be fabricated using standard CMOS technologies followed by a sacrificial layer etching needed for the structure release.","PeriodicalId":226547,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123883550","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The syntheses of each finger is obtained via Freudenstein's methodology, assuming that the links lengths are constant, an fixed to a main link, and the pivot of the system is the knuckle. The only variable which may modify the displacement behavior of the system is the coupler, for each four-bar mechanism, therefore its length is directly related to the position of the finger.","PeriodicalId":226547,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125233821","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The first step was to obtain the zinc nanowires (Zn-NWs) by close spaced sublimation (CSS) on a quartz substrate. The second step was the transformation of Zn-NWs to ZnO-NWs by a simple thermal annealing in air environment. In the synthesis process a zinc pellet source was used as the source material, where the temperatures of the source, the temperature of the substrate, and the growth time were fixed at 350°C, 325 °C, and 5 minutes respectively, using a nitrogen environment at atmospheric pressure conditions. Afterwards, the as-prepared Zn-NWs sample was heated at 400 °C for 30 minutes in open tube conditions. In addition, a conductimetric gas sensor was fabricated using the annealed Zn-NWs based film. The sensor was tested to hydrogen at moderate temperatures (200-400 °C) for several concentrations (95-1492 ppm). The results revealed that the ZnO-NWs have a high response to hydrogen at high temperatures and high concentrations. The response and recovery times depend on the hydrogen concentration. The response time for almost all conditions is of the order of 2 minutes. These results are very promising for the development of hydrogen solid state gas sensors based on zinc oxide nanowires.","PeriodicalId":226547,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133080865","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
