Modernization of education prioritizes the formation of a specialist of high quality and competence, capable of innovative search for ways of self-realization in the conditions of continuous integra- tion of Ukraine into the European educational space. Strengthening the health potential of youth, providing a differentiated approach to groups of children of different ages, fore- casting their needs and motivation for physical development and self-improvement de- pends on the physical culture specialist.We have developed an integrated system of medical and biological education to im- prove the quality and competitiveness of a physical culture specialist in the labor market. Thus, we made an attempt to construct the content of integrated natural science educa- tional disciplines and built an end-to-end logical-didactic structure, updating knowledge in accordance with the new achievements of the disciplines of the natural science cycle; strengthening the relationship between fundamentality and professional orientation of education; ensuring variability and alternative, humanization and democratization of the educational process; improvement of natural science education and establishment of a close connection with sports and specialized training. In this study, the main directions, factors, indicators and criteria for the intensification of student learning with the use of innovative and information and communication technologies were identified.The modernizing ideas of the philosophical interpretation of human value are at the basis of this research, the humanitarian significance of natural scientific knowledge is actualized, which opens up wide possibilities of interdisciplinary and transsubjective integration for use in the process of training modern specialists and achieving high sports results. We have proven the effectiveness of scientific competence, which is ensured by creating an innovative educational environment characterized by openness and autonomy, information saturation and integrability, flexibility and synchronization, multi-vector and creativity. Thanks to the use of innovative approaches in the training of future teachers of physical education, cognitive activity increases, creative thinking and professionalism develop, innovative technologies of physical education are much better assimilated, and most importantly, the mastering of the professional competencies of pedagogues-scientists, pedagogues-innovators takes place. STEM education is based on active learning that includes problem-based, project-based, and research-based approaches.The analysis of the literature proved that the topic of STEM education was researched by many Ukrainian and foreign scientists. M. John, A. Nicolas, V. Rokhov, S. Sosnovskyi studied the approaches; N. Morze, О. Stryzhak considered the theoretical foundations. І. Slipukhina, V. Chornomorets in his works found out the content of the implementation of STEM-technologies. О. Stryzhak, І. Slipukhina, N. Polikhun, І. Chernetskyi considered the main concepts of STEM-education. The purpose of this ar- ticle is to reveal the main definitions of STEM-education. The scientific novelty consists in the selection of different approaches to the concepts of STEM-education, the authors who research this issue are detailed, and the specific concepts are defined on the basis of the analyzed sources.In the course of a scientific search, it was established that the scientist N. Valko found out that for the first time STEM-education as a new direction appeared in the documents of the USA in 2001, in Ukraine – in 2015, and is considered as a curriculum that includes the following disciplines: science, design, engineering and mathematics. We tend to define the term as follows: it is an educational program that prepares students in elementary, middle, high school, as well as college, university and graduate students for the purpose of comprehensive development and focuses on the combination of science, mathematics, technology and engineering. Considered the well-known concept of STEM-education – it is the space of an individual in which he can ex- plore, experiment, studying various subjects, work in a team and search for his “self”.STEM-education is based on STEM-competencies and skills. N. Honcharenko interprets them as follows: first, the system of knowledge, abilities and skills; secondly, values and personal qualities that characterize innovative activity; thirdly, the ability to solve problems, work in a team, be able to control emotions and negotiate. In the composition of STEM-competencies, it is possible to distinguish characteristic specific components, which include cognitive, reflective-analytical, operational-activity, value-motivational ones. STEM-competencies are important for preparing young people for future professional challenges and the development of innovative technologies. We consider it expedient to highlight the following statements: STEM learning tools are a set of equipment, ideas, actions and phenomena with the help of which research, experimental and other works are carried out in lessons and in extracurricular time (circles). The survey of more than 100 students of the Department of Journalism in V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University was held. It is presenting the students’ vision of a creative task as a form of verification test or exam. The questions were about the distribu- tion of points for certain types of tasks, features of creative tasks’ preparation, problems of creative tasks’ production in the distance learning setting etc. The survey provided different forms of answers: both option selection and extended comments. Questionnaires were filled out by students of the Bachelor and Master levels, full-time and correspondence courses and by graduates of the Department of Journalism.It was found that the majority of students see the creative task as a mandatory component of the verification test or exam. At the same time, the ideal form of final control is considered to be combined (a presentation of a creative task and a theory test). It was established that journalism students prefer individual production of creative works, although they assume team formats.The main challenges for future journalists in the distance learning setting within the context of creative tasks’ production are highlighted. It was found that after the beginning of the full-scale phase of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the number of difficulties increased and they became more frequently related to the inner state of students. A search for motivation or inspiration, work under stress, finding topics for materials are most often mentioned problems by respondents. Fazan","doi":"10.33989/2524-2474.2023.82.295073","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.33989/2524-2474.2023.82.295073","url":null,"abstract":"The article reveals the formation of the idea of individualization of education in the works of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Johann Gottfried Herder, Helen Parkhurst, Maria Montessori, John Dewey, etc. On the basis of studying the works of foreign researchers, in particular, Ken Robinson, Diana Laurillard, Candace Thille, etc., the key theoretical aspects of the development of individualized learning are highlighted: diagnostics (collection and analysis of data about a person for understanding its needs, abilities and level of knowledge); personalization (development of educational programs, tasks and materials that meet the specific needs of each stu- dent); flexibility (providing opportunities for individual choice of learning method, pace and work schedule); self-regulation (instilling self-regulation skills and the ability to take responsibility for one’s own learning); feedback (constant monitoring and evaluation of learning achievements with the possibility of adjusting learning according to the results). The main mechanisms of practical implemen-tation of the idea of individualization of education in the American, British and Swiss education systems are revealed (personalizationof education by means of forming a digital educational environment; use of individual educational plans; dual education; variabilityof educational programs and courses; selection and processing of analytical data regarding the course of the educational process; co- operation teachers and parents in the educational process; development of creativity, independence and personal responsibility, etc.). The article proves that the individualization of learning as an actuality of scientific and educational progress in Ukraine and the world should be used with the latest pedagogical tools, aimed at creating a friendly atmosphere, mutual understanding and cooperation in theeducational institution. It is also important to develop mechanisms that provide, firstly, personal support and monitoring of individual development, level of education and upbringing, and secondly, clarification and resolution of pedagogical, psychological and social problems. The article’s goal is to analyze, based on the study of normative acts and scientific literature, the modern programs organizing recreational, health-improving, and mass sports activities, both during and outside school hours, in the United States of America. It aims to determine the prospects for further implementing them into the Ukrainian school physical education practice.The analysis of progressive foreign experience, particularly innovative programs such as «Active Schools», «Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child», and the «Program of Comprehensive School Physical Activity», implemented at the national level in US general secondary education institutions, is aimed at implementing a global strategy to increase schoolchildren’s level of physical activity. This strategy focuses on forming a physically healthy, emotionally stable, and harmoniously developed generation that comprehends the importance of an active lifestyle, healthy nutrition, and aims for self-improvement.We’ve found that the identified innovative models for developing school physical culture in the USA show promise for utilization in Ukraine. The crisis of the professional education system indicates a gap between the dramatically changed living conditions and the educational system, its goals, types, content and technologies of education.
