Usually the pilgrims will attend a training before departing for Hajj as a preparation for the ritual process, in order to achieve a `mabrur' Hajj. However, they probably encounter some problems related to Hajj ritual that require immediate decisions especially rituals that is related with `Dumm' (penalty) imposition. We proposed a dynamic knowledge-based approach that can capture possible problems and solutions from the expert on mobile platform. It provides an interface that enables users to query both simple and advance questions. The system has been implemented using an artificial intelligence (AI) method of Case Based Reasoning (CBR) and Decision Tree.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"292 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124200506","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Even though requirement still one of the most critical process in software development. Recent studies shows that 56% of system defects are coming from requirement. Additionally, by one estimate requirement errors cost 10 times more than coding errors. Thus, there is a need to identify those critical requirement engineering challenges. To address this issues, critical challenges have been investigated in the last two decades between the year 1995 and 2016. Where systematic literature review (SLR) has been used to explore previous studies findings and results. Additionally, identified critical challenges have been further investigated using quantitative study through software small and medium enterprises (SME). Where a total of 250 surveys have been collected, after eliminating incomplete surveys 217 completed surveys used for data analysis. After performing all process 12 challenges has been specified as critical challenges in the context of software SME. Where identified critical challenges can benefit software enterprises particularly new enterprises to pay further attention to specified critical challenges.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"85 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130329407","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, a method is required to cope with illumination condition while detecting skin color. In our proposed method, we combine the chrominance channels of three color spaces, namely HSV, YCbCr and Normalized RGB, to produce better rate result for skin color segmentation. The result shows that the proposed method is able to detect skin pixel and get up to 91.05% correct result while being tested in ECU and HGR Dataset. This result is significantly higher than the other single color spaces.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"291 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127415499","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many information security incidents occur due to the negligence and unintentional behavior of internal employees resulting in a serious internal threat to the safety of organizational assets. The compliance with security rules and regulations significantly depends upon the realization of threat and skills to cope with the situations. Universities in Malaysia are operating in either public or private domain; comprise of International and National students and employees. These universities accommodate ample amount of confidential personal and educational information of international and national students, faculty and staff. This paper intends to identify the provision of policies and acquaintance of universities employees on information security policies (ISP) defined by their institution. A quantitative study has been conducted in public and private universities of Malaysia to identify employees' perceptions towards their acquaintance of ISPs. Results indicate that end users of information security policies understand the importance of awareness and compliance with institutional policies.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130434202","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Quality Evaluation Framework (QuEF) is used specifically to evaluate MDWE methodologies and other methodologies in general. It can be used to evaluate either a well-established methodology or a new methodology in early stages of development. In this paper, by using QuEF, NDT as a well-established MDWE methodology has been compared with WSDMDA as a new methodology. The comparison has been conducted based on only Functionality quality characteristic of QuEF and three features namely Model-Driven Engineering (MDE), Web Modeling and Tool Support. Results show that WSDMDA is obtained a higher value for Web Modeling feature, while a higher value for other two features has been obtained by NDT methodology.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130632525","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several approaches have been proposed to help students with the process of learning programming. In this paper we proposed Mobile Agile Peer Assisted Learning (M-APAL), a mobile system designed to assist students in managing and completing programming assignments/tasks given by lecturer. Besides that, it also helps students in learning introductory programming C++ with their peers. M-APAL is designed using both peer learning concept and agile methodology approach i.e SCRUM. It is implemented on Android mobile application. The language used is HTML5, CSS3, AngularJS, and JavaScript. The prototype of the application is successfully tested on first year students from the School of Computer Sciences and we found that the application helps the student to learn better with their peers using this platform.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123912189","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this research is to improve on the existing Anomaly Based Intrusion Detection (ABID) method using K-Means clustering technique as to maximize the detection rate and accuracy while minimizing the false alarm. The problem with outliers may disturb the K-Means clustering process as it might be avoided in the clustering process from mixing with the normal data that make the NIDSs become less accurate. Thus this research aims to improve the performance of the ABID systems that balance the loss of information or ignored data in clustering. An integrated machine learning algorithm using K-Means Clustering with discretization technique and Naïve Bayes Classifier (KMC-D+NBC) is proposed against ISCX 2012 Intrusion Detection Evaluation Dataset. The outcome depicts that the proposed method generates better detection rate and accuracy up to 99.3% and 99.5% respectively and reduces the false alarm to 1.2% with better efficiency of 0.03 seconds time taken to build model.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123633722","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A job forecasting model is presented to forecast one hour ahead of jobs submitted for computations using regression random forests. The training data constitutes the information about the type of job and jobs submitted on average each hour. The forecast model is built on the basis of training process. A real job data set from LCG (Large Hadron Collider Computing Grid) is used for evaluating the proposed forecast model, while considering the fact that jobs submitted are inconsistent. Findings provide a proof that by using proposed method the forecast error can be reduced and the effectiveness of job forecast can be improved for long test periods.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121122197","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is possible to make future oriented predictions with link prediction by deriving new data within a network structure. It is attempted to estimate the future structure of the network and the relations which will be created or abandoned by the individuals on the basis of the nodes within the network structure and the relations between these nodes. For this purpose, an undirected weighted disease network is first created by using the data of patients which were subjected to Hemogram test at Fırat University Hospital during 2013. In the disease network, each node represents a disease and the links represent a relationship between diseases. By the developed method, then disease risk prediction is made through a proactive approach by determining what sorts of disease risks were carried by the patients applying with certain complaints. Experimental results demonstrate the applicability of the link prediction in these networks.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121398556","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Previous analyses focused on exergaming, sport science, surveillance and rehabilitation for the betterment of living. A number of recent works had also applied Microsoft Kinect captured motions for its portability and capability convenience to detect RGB images, depth images and 3D skeleton joint coordinates. Nevertheless, Kinect captured data contains inaccuracies which necessitates preprocessing efforts to improve the motion recognition accuracy. To the best of our knowledge, works had rarely detailed the data preprocessing techniques in order to improve the qualities of motion recognition. Few had demonstrated the feasibilities of 2D motion data to represent 3D motions. The importance of data preprocessing role in enhancing the classification accuracy, thus remains a major research concern to date. Therefore, this paper presents the comparisons of human motion data preprocessing analyses on 2D and 3D skeletal joints. Uncertainties observed in raw 3D motion data are identified and filtered followed by the data compression tasks into 2D data. The preprocessing performances at each level are judged using four major classifiers: Bayes, Function, Lazy and Tree aided by the WEKA tool. The approaches are employed on the skeletal joints coordinates of data retrieved from UTKinect-Action Dataset. Our findings demonstrated that preprocessing efforts on the compressed 3D into 2D skeletal joints is comparable to the actual human motion by classification accuracy and at the same time reduces the execution time.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122414091","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
