These type of time series data is classified as highly chaotic due to the nature and occurrence of trend and seasonality within trading patterns, hence making the analysis and forecasting process cumbersome. The main aim of financial analysts in forecasting such data is to obtain an effective and feasible solution that will assist in future planning and expectation of trends that are most likely to occur in the future. Such analysis is vital to the choices made during the modelling phase that fits historic data within the forecasting model. This paper presents an empirical analysis of KLCI time-series using an enhanced ELMAN-NARX hybrid model by performing multi-step-ahead forecasts. The proposed hybrid model is trained using a Gauss approximated Bayesian regulation algorithm. Performance analysis based on error metrics shows that proposed hybrid model provides robust multi-step-ahead forecasts in comparison to previously used models.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126217702","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite of many EA frameworks and methodologies available, the implementation of EA is a challenging process. Therefore, this paper aims to explore the process of EA implementation in an organisation and to identify its critical success factors (CSFs). An integrated framework comprising of Configurable Process Model (CPM) and Balanced Scorecard (BSC) are used in this study. The findings are categorised into six perspectives which are authority support, internal process, learning and growth, cost, technology and talent management. Based on Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOHM) as a case study, it reveals that every organisation should define and design their own EA solution based on their core business and need. The existence of framework and documentation does not represent the successful EA if it is not being practiced in the organisation. The EA implementation experience and the CSFs discussed in this paper will be valuable guidelines for other EA implementer in other public sector organisation.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125474551","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is playing a major role in many areas of our lives, such as communication, entertainment and information which is supported by newer innovations and technology evolvement. While the broadband Internet penetration rate is encouraging in many countries, its adoption is still a notable issue in Malaysia. Therefore this research is focused on identification of two relevant research streams covering broadband, which are adoption and continuance after initial adoption in Malaysia. The investigation targets of this research are Malaysian individuals who are existing broadband Internet subscribers, ranging from different demographic background. The theoretical framework which is utilized in this study is an integrated model of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and IS-Continuance Model which has been further extended by integrating another 2 Independent Variables, namely Perceived Innovativeness and Perceived Playfulness. Survey will be used as the research instrument and the unit of analysis are existing broadband Internet subscribers in Malaysia. As this is a quantitative study using positive epistemology, data obtained from the survey was analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS-SEM). This paper is concluded by some recommendations that will increase the broadband Internet adoption intention and usage continuance of this technology in Malaysian household context.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132036094","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the large number of grid blocks and heterogeneity in reservoir models, extensive simulations are required to reduce the risk in reservoir's productivity. In order to mitigate this problem, Surrogate Reservoir Model (SRM) is used as a prime outcome to reduce the simulation time. However, this paper work presents the dynamic well SRM, that extracts the data from a conventional reservoir simulator, Black Oil Applied Simulation Tool (BOAST). The well SRM with two dynamic constraints(bottom-hole flowing pressure and production rate) is built with random switch on/off of well with discrete time steps. The prime input parameters, porosity, permeability and saturation are identified from the reservoir model using principal component analysis (PCA) technique. The Artificial Neural Network (RBNN) technique is adopted to build the well SRM with dynamic constraints. The trained model from the dynamic well SRM is validated with the output from BOAST. The dynamic SRM is flexible in handling different types of modeling with changeable constraints. It was found that the simulated results of the proposed dynamic well SRM is effective in producing the outputs as predicted by the conventional simulator.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121754430","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Towards this end, a data encoding scheme for combined data compression and encryption, codenamed CSDC, is introduced. The scheme supports 128-bit key lengths. The data compression is achieved through Huffman coding and encryption through chaotic key-based expansion performed with a Logistic map, a function selected by its high sensitivity to its initial condition, parameter value, ergodicity, random behavior and unstable periodic orbits with long periods. Experimental analysis shows that the compression ratio, security, and performance of CSDC is competitive compared to a selection of prior techniques.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124103988","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to tackle the incidents, experts are assigned and experiments are conducted to analyze the source of the leakage. The leakage is often triggered by either natural disaster such as earthquake or human negligence such as low maintenance of oil pipeline. Natural disaster is unpredictable and it is difficult to prevent; therefore, researches are carried out in detecting corrosion of transmission pipelines. In this research, a new oil pipeline corrosion prediction model is proposed. An associative classification technique named classification based on multiple association rules is applied in the proposed prediction model. This proposed prediction model named CMARGA is then enhanced by using genetic algorithm in order build an optimum decision tree. The decision tree is said optimum in term of the genetic algorithm is used to examine the correlation between a group of association rules instead of using one single rule in predicting a case. The prediction model, CMARGA is tested against 15 datasets from UCI machine learning which yielded average accuracy of 80.2041%. After the validation, CMARGA is then tested against a simulated oil pipeline corrosion dataset consist of partial pressure carbon dioxide, velocity, and temperature. A good result of 96.6667% accuracy as single run validation is achieved; while, 96.0% accuracy obtained when runs through tenth cross validation.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116612280","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main goal of this study is to explore the relationship between e-collaborative learning experience and students learning outcomes with moderating and mediating effects of social, teaching and cognitive presences. The study intends to investigate whether e-collaborative learning experience with social, teaching and cognitive presences as the mediator and moderator constructs are predictors of students learning outcomes. The Community of Inquiry (CoI) survey instrument, collaborative learning questionnaire and pre-test-post-test questions were used to collect data through an experimental research design involving 60 students. The results show that the constructs of the hypothesized model are reliable and valid. The results from structural equation modeling also demonstrated that e-collaborative learning experience strongly predict learning outcomes indirectly through the mediating and moderating effects of the three presences.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117013689","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Structural health monitoring is an active area of research where structural integrity of civil structures is continuously monitored using wireless sensors. WSN's wide spread applications in various areas has opened the doors to vulnerabilities/security pitfalls. Security is of paramount concern for sensor network applications but implementation of cryptography / encryption techniques will increase the control overheads and also uses additional energy which is scarce. An emerging area of research to improve security is the implementation of trust mechanism which to a certain extent mitigates the pitfalls of regular security mechanism. Trust is important in wireless networks as collaboration/cooperation among nodes is critical to achieving system goals like routing reliability which is NP Hard. In this work a trust based Cluster Head selection mechanism using Firefly based metaheuristic is proposed to improve the security and network lifetime of the WSN. Firefly Algorithm (FA) is used as it handles combinational and numerical optimization multimodal problems efficiently. The proposed algorithm was evaluated using Mica testbed using 23 nodes and was also extensively simulated using MATLAB for large number of nodes to check the effectiveness of the proposed technique. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method for large number of nodes and the physical experimental setup shows performance improvement over LEACH.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130822704","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is one of the many mental health problems. People with this disorder experience exaggerated worries and tensions about everyday events. It has been reported that about 5% of the population in developed countries is affected by GAD, with women twice as likely to be affected compared to men. Anxiety disorders are a growing occurrence in Malaysia, and this phenomenon has contributed to extensive mental health related data. This raw data is a valuable resource, but it is underutilized. It could potentially be transformed into useful knowledge via data mining technology. Data mining reveals significant insights due to its nature in identifying hidden patterns and relationships that can be used for predicting generalized anxiety disorder. For effective prediction, random forest approach is one of the classification data mining techniques which embeds good predictive characteristics. Therefore, this research adopts random forest approach to predict Generalized Anxiety Disorder among women, and the accuracy of the predictive result is reported. The generated prediction model is expected to provide an effective screening process for Generalized Anxiety Disorder among women in Malaysia.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129205898","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
