With the penetration of smartphones and tablets, many healthcare apps for self-care have been deployed to cater to the needs of mobile healthcare today. This paper systematically reviews the factors influencing the effective use of mHealth apps for self-care. Prominent factors based on their frequencies of occurrence were identified. Related studies found in different databases such as IEEE Xplore, ACM Digital Library, Emerald, and Science Direct were identified for the review. A total of sixty-eight factors were identified and the results show that the following seven factors were seen to appear most frequently: perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, behavioral intention, social-influence, self-efficacy, perceived privacy risk and attitude. This review will be useful to healthcare application developers in order for them to recognize the factors which might most influence the intention of consumers to leverage on mHealth apps for self-care.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133641969","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The goal of this study is to develop and execute a research project to study BSI in the oil & gas industry and how an efficient BSI in supply chain (SCI) can be used to gain advantage. A mixed (qualitative & quantitative) survey method was employed and structural equation modeling (SEM) is applied to test the theoretical framework and hypotheses. Findings reveal that, total integration do not offer optimum performance and selective disintegration (DIS) is necessary for supply chain efficiency (SCE) and organization performance (PER). This study helps to better understand the degree of integration required for optimum supply chain performance and came up with new construct DIS. Specifically, this study investigated the effect of SCI and DIS on SCE and PER. The compelled sample size precludes evaluating and testing of additional broad models of the relationship amongst the constructs. The main managerial lesson is that, in contrast to what has been written in many books and other popular publications, selective disintegration is necessary for optimum supply chain efficiency.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"104 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128185712","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are numbers of domain specific modeling languages for educational games focus in various aspect and theories of learning. By having domain specific modeling language which applies a visual diagramming language, it helps in represent design ideas and logic. This paper analyzes existing modelling languages to assess the coverage of strategy genre and transfer learning concepts. The results show that existing modelling languages covers important strategy genre concepts but cover very little of the transfer learning concepts. The authors conclude that the existing modelling languages can be used to model small strategy games but will have trouble to scale to large strategy games, and will not be able to model games that guarantee students learning.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121630327","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But most of the literatures have merely drawn any suitable correspondence between business process facets and service concepts for service based system design. This paper proposes a Domain Specific Model based approach for designing and development of Service Oriented System (SOS) to reduce the semantic gap between business process and corresponding service representation. For the purpose, firstly, the domain level concepts of SOS are defined from both business process and service representation perspectives. Moreover, a set of traceability rules are devised to draw the correspondence between the business process and service domain concepts of SOS. Further the proposed modelling concepts have been implemented using Generic Modelling Environment (GME) [13] to generate the instance of SOS model in Web Service Description Language (WSDL) and corresponding process description based on Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN). The expressiveness of the proposed SOS model has been illustrated using suitable case study.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121761900","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The other causes are extra overhead and delays, triggered by diverse highly complex security policies, and illicit interferences. However, the present literature does not suggest any adequate security technique to handle these situations individually or in combination. Hence, this current research proposes a technique, which includes a unique pattern generation technique to protect information from distinct security attacks and a distinctive error control technique to control transmission error. A new pattern table has been introduced in this pattern generation and any number of discrete or continuous error bits can be handled by this unique error control technique. Moreover, this combination offers a backup for accidental Information loss. The performances of proposed technique to protect data have been verified by calculating Percentage of Information Loss, error control abilities have been verified by computing Signal to Noise Ratio and Uncorrectable Error Rate. The time efficiency offered by the proposed can be justified by calculating Throughput.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114641379","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data mules such as workers or vehicles, which pass through the monitored area periodically, bridge the gap between disconnected networks. Since data dissemination often involves multiple users, and configuration updates from the Monitoring and Control Center needs to be delivered reliably to all participating IoT devices, the combination of efficient Reliable Multicast algorithms with DTN should address this problem effectively. This paper examines the current status of DTN support for multicast from different design aspect of routing protocols and summarizes some of the open issues related to the design of Reliable Multicast DTN (RMDTN) protocols for IoT.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114692683","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Without procedures, the content of multimedia for semantic-interpretation is not clearly or really available for use. Manual Annotation is the only simple technique that helps to overcome semantic- interpretation. However, manual Annotation is not only time wasting and costly but also encompassed with the absence of concept diversity and semantic gap. This paper extends a semantic ontology method to extract label terms of the annotated image. LabelMe is the annotated data-set of the so far annotated terms. It enhances terms with the support of Knowledge bases of WordNet and ConceptNet, particularly. It supplements the identical synonyms as well as semantically related terms. It further reduces the semantic interpretation as well as increases the Semantic ontology for that annotated term domain. The results of an experiment performed shows that, the synonym terms were 15% and conceptually terms were 79% added along the primary list. It represents concept diversity an enhancement of 119.13% unique terms in the original list.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117130856","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The investigation is based on the mental model to find out how their cognitive idea related to usability concerns of the application. To conduct the study, the blind students and teachers at the blind school in Hatyai, Songkla Thailand were recruited as participants. In general, they were various in age and having different experiences with smartphones and mobile applications. The mental model for the blinds' mobile application revealed the usability matters as useful, easy and availability for the outcome of this study. The blinds' mobile application is preferred to be simple rather than complex. For example, the application features should be automatic like the feature of barcode reader application, which can scan banknotes and speak value voice in a real time. Based on the findings, the prototype of blinds' mobile application, for real-time recognition of Thai banknotes is developed.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116864648","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a subpopulation-based parallel Cuckoo Search (CS) algorithm on OpenMP (Open Multi-Processing) for Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) is proposed. The obligate brood parasitism behavior and mapping of the CS to TSP are explored to design the parallelization approach on OpenMP's fork-join model. The proposed parallel algorithm has been tested with symmetric instances from TSPLIB. Results show the subpopulation-based CS via random walk achieved superlinear speedup up to 42× and 1054% efficiency on OpenMP running 4 cores processor with superior percentage deviation against TSPLIB optimal solutions on small cities ranging from 51 to 101 cities, and only started to deviate significantly with 4461 cities. OpenMP subpopulation-based CS speedup also recorded at least 17× and up to 36× higher than related works in parallel CS. Overall results demonstrate that multi-threaded parallelism is very effective to achieve speedup for population-based evolutionary algorithms by dividing the main population into subpopulations to increase diversity on solution exploration.","PeriodicalId":224429,"journal":{"name":"2016 3rd International Conference on Computer and Information Sciences (ICCOINS)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132532583","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
