According to our simulation, the designed resonant transmission peak of the filter deteriorates by splitting up with the substrate thickness increasing; furthermore, a rapid oscillation of the Peak-Transmittivity (P-T) of the filter along with the alteration of the substrate thickness is also gained. Finally, a conclusion is achieved that a relatively acceptable transmission spectrum of the filter of this kind can be obtained by thinning the substrate down to a suitable thickness range through well-controlled grinding and polishing.","PeriodicalId":222199,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Optoelectronics and Micro/nano-optics","volume":"471 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115922788","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The selecting and optimization of machining parameters is one of the main factors that could influence the machining accuracy. A simple and feasible method to select and optimize the FTS machining parameters is presented in this paper. The primary meaning of this idea is that the machining parameters should match the FTS dynamics, that is, to select the parameters for higher fabricating efficiency but within the dynamical performance limits of the FTS. From a systemic viewpoint, a virtual machining Simulink model is built in which the designed surface data is used as the system input and the FTS dynamics as the control block, the responded output then can be considered as the virtual machining data. Though the simulation, the quantitative results to the designed shapes and machining shapes are achieved which are helpful to optimize the machining parameters. The surface data generation method for designed shape is discussed and the dynamical identification model of FTS actuator is given. An virtual machining example is also given in the end. The quantitative results indicate that the proposed method is feasible and effective, which can provide effective reference for the future real fabrication.","PeriodicalId":222199,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Optoelectronics and Micro/nano-optics","volume":"136 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123589398","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Numerical results show that intensity distributions of in the grooves change differently when duty cycle varies for TE and TM polarizations. As duty cycle increases, peak intensity in the middle of the first bright stripes and its locations change obviously. The main reason of location variation of the first bright stripes is the variation of the phase difference between the ±2nd orders and the 0th order, which is verified by using rigorous coupled-wave analysis. The investigation of influence of duty cycle on near-field diffraction of high-density gratings should be helpful for practical applications of high-density gratings.","PeriodicalId":222199,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Optoelectronics and Micro/nano-optics","volume":"128 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128205706","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Dislocation tends to decrease the zero-bias resistance-area product by adding shunt impedance paths for dark current flow as well as by reducing the minority carrier lifetime. Through the dislocation and temperature dependant modeling, maximum R0A is found to be 1.85 Ω cm2 at 139 K for InGaSb PIN photodiodes.
