To get the most accurate odor predictions from an electronic nose, we combined the models of traditional machine learning and deep learning, including deep neural network (DNN), support vector machine (SVM) and decision tree, to make a new hybrid model that adopts the AdaBoost algorithm to adjust the weights of weak classifiers to build a strong classifier using odor data. Experimental results from our model were compared with other models, including a single deep neural network, an ensemble of SVM models and an ensemble of decision trees. This process is conducted manually, therefore it is time-consuming and subjected to human error. This paper develops an automatic and intelligent machine learning algorithm for the detection of diabetic retinopathy (DR) in fundus image. It involves image enhancement and classification of pathological signs using convolution neural network (CNN) for the DR pathological signs classification. In the image enhancement process, high-pass filter and histogram equalization are applied to improve visual quality of fundus images. A five layers CNN architecture is implemented to classify the three pathological signs; exudate, HEM and MA. Two dataset, DIARETDB1 and e-Ophtha are used to evaluate the performance of the system. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to investigate the challenges that are currently faced by a department of maintenance in one university in Yemen. A qualitative research approach by means of interview questions was used for this purpose. Ten face-to-face interviews were conducted, four women and six men were invited to participate. Findings indicate that a lack of systematic work and weakness in maintaining and managing IT infrastructures at the maintenance department is the main problem due to the fact the Help Desk System is not accessible at the department. Gamma distribution and Gaussian distribution are used simultaneity. A set of 3D ultrasound phantoms based on Gamma distribution gamma distributions is built to be implemented from the random to clustered scatterer distributions by adjusting the shape parameter $alpha$ and scale parameter $beta$ and the parameters of normal distribution. In the simulation study, firstly, Matlab platform is used to establish the geometric model, and the shape parameters $alpha$ of gamma distribution are set as 1, 0.5, 0.1, 0.05, 0.02, 0.01, respectively. Secondly, the ultrasonic echo radio-frequency (RF) signals of each scattering model are obtained by the Field II software, and the echo envelope signals are calculated by the Nakagami distribution parameters. To verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the simulation model, in vitro experiments are carried out with the hematocrit levels of 40%. Six degrees of RBC aggregation suspension samples are acquired by diluting plasma concentration, and the plasma concentrations (the ratio of plasma to PBS-Plasma solutions) are 0%, 15%, 30%, 45%, 60%, 75%, respectively. The echoed ultrasound RF signals and their B-model images are obtained by using a 40-MHz linear array transducer in vitro experiments. Finally, Nakagami parameters $m$ and $Omega$ of the backscattered RF signals of simulation experiments and in vitro experiments are calculated and compared. Most parents will bring along their kid during shopping and travelling. There are also several unsolved cases especially on missing children cases due to the parents are unaware of the time of the disappearance of their child. Today's enhancement of sophisticated developing technology, to countermeasure this child missing cases, a child-tracking system is developed to help parents monitor their children in public places. This device uses the alarm technique. It will trigger when the Bluetooth connection is disconnected and the GPS application is used to track the location of the child whose wearing this device. The child detector device has 2 main units which is for parents and children. The child's units function as a transmitter that transmits a GPS signal, while the parent's units will receive the signal which will determine the position and distance of their child using their own smartphone. The purpose is to assist patients suffering from Tetraplegia especially in their mobility by providing alternative ways of controlling devices. In this work, motorized wheelchairs are used as the studied mobility device. Some of the methods used in motorized wheelchair do give user difficulties as they need extra effort in controlling the device. Thus, this project aimed to study, design and implement an image processing technique to differentiate four different lips expressions. The classified four different lip expressions will then be used as instructions for forward, turn right, turn left and stop movements of motorized wheelchairs. A technique of morphological processing is applied to the image of the face in order to extract the lips region. The obtained region is then calculated for several parameters. The parameters classification is done using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) to determine the category of lips expressions. The algorithm works if the quadrotor undergoes a deviation, an admissible trajectory path is generated for the quadrotor rapidly return on the straight-line route. There are two stages implicated in the algorithm. The first stage comprises a deviation scheme used to sense a deviation and formulates a vector. The second stage focuses on using the vector to generate a path via a Hermite interpolation technique integrated with time and tangent transformation schemes. A Dead Reckoning navigation technique is employed to steer the quadrotor on the path. The scheme and algorithm have experimented in low, moderate and high categories of deviation acceleration via a customized quadrotor. Comparative performance of quadrotor navigation integrated with and without the algorithm are carried out. The parameters evaluated are focused on distance and time utilized by the quadrotor to return on the route after a deviation happened. The results signify fewer distances and time are consumed by the quadrotor navigation with the algorithm to return to the route after a deviation happened as compared to its navigation without it. A level virtual process has been simulated in LabVIEW supported by NI input/output broad (NI - myDAQ), providing the 0-5V analog input and output signals. It is used to control actuators and to read data from sensors of the simulated process. Arduino broads incorporated with Ethernet shields are the Modbus TCP/voltage converter, communicating the data between programmable logic controller (PLC) that acts like a client and Arduino servers. Therefore, the virtual process can be controlled by the real PLC, and can be monitored by the real monitoring system over TCP/IP network. The experimental results show that the data communication among all devices works well. The mean absolute percentage error between both processes is less than 5.24%. In addition, the proposed model is very flexible and low cost. The original SDA is a relatively simple optimization algorithm. It uses a spiral strategy to move search agents within the feasible search space. However, SDA suffers from a premature convergence due to an unbalanced diversification and intensification throughout its search operation. Hence, the algorithm unable to acquire an optimal accuracy solution. An Opposition learning is adopted into SDA to improve the searching strategy of the SDA agents. Therefore in the proposed strategy, a random and a deterministic approaches are synergized and complement each other. The algorithm is tested on several benchmark functions in comparison to the original SDA. A statistical nonparametric Wilcoxon sign rank test is conducted to analyze the accuracy achievement of both algorithms. For solving a real world application, the algorithms are applied to optimize a PID controller for a flexible manipulator system. Result of the test on the benchmark functions shows that the Opposition based SDA outperformed the SDA significantly. For solving the PID control design, both algorithms acquire PID parameters and hence can control the flexible manipulator very well.
