The protocol is collision-free and TD-SCDMAand operates under dynamic and distributed circumstances; it can improve channel utilization rate and increase the number of nodes simultaneously accessible to channel by combining control channel and transmission channel in one slot, and each channel is represented by different spreading codes. In this protocol, terminal node can achieve natural cellular communication and operate in ad hoc networks. Thus, the networks can efficiently expand the coverage of the mobile communication system and balance traffic loads. The performance analysis result shows that the proposed scheme proves to achieve good performance in terms of average access probability, throughput and average access delay.","PeriodicalId":220276,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126465346","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

People always consider the interference due to exposed nodes and hidden nodes, however, the interference outside of communication range also influence the data reception. In three-dimension wireless networks, this interference is too serious to be neglected. The paper discusses all the interference in three-dimension wireless sensor networks, gives a formulation about the relationship between interference and the scale of networks, and proposes a media access method which abates interference greatly and assures nodes to successfully receive packets with high probability.","PeriodicalId":220276,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems","volume":"29 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132477114","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Compared with the previous methods such as dial-up and vpn, our solution CSGW-RAS is quite new at using SSL for data transfer and GNU/Linux pseudo network device for data forward. It offers two important types of properties. One is security, which includes confidentiality, IP assigning and authentication, etc. We compare CSGW-RAS with IPSec VPN which is widely-used for its high security, by using a security risk index. The results shows that our solution is as secure as IPSec VPN. The other is simplicity. CSGW-RAS completely throws away the complexity both in deployment and in operation but is different with the so-called SSL VPN which is just a Web proxy. The security and performance analysis show that our solution is quite secure and easy-to-use with a little lost in efficiency which results from the handshake process but would not affect its whole performance.","PeriodicalId":220276,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134256777","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we firstly introduce the frame structure and time slots allocation of TD-SCDMA. Secondly, a communication coexistent strategy that makes use of the idle slots in cellular communication is described. Then the paper proposes a new compatible CAI based on the conception of superframe. Later the corresponding communication process of the air interface is presented. Finally, several performance parameters of this system are analyzed, including the average number of success reservation nodes and the average access time delay. Considering the failure of wavelet in representing the geometry of image edges in dimension 2, here a new contourlet HMT model for image fusion is proposed. Because the CHMT model efficiently captures all dependencies across scales, space and directions through a tree structured dependence network, it can give more accurate description of images. Moreover, the CHMT has a simple tree structure with fewer parameters than wavelet HMT (WHMT), which enables efficient training using the expectation maximization (EM) algorithm. Inputting the contourlet coefficients of source images to train the CHMT model, we can get the edge probability density functions. Local inner-product fusion rule is performed on the high- frequency directional sub-bands, which is acquired by the product of the high-frequency directional coefficients by the edge probability density function of CHMT. The low- frequency sub-bands are compared to preserve the coefficients whose module are minimum. The experiment results show the superiority of the proposed image fusion method to WHMT and contourlets, both in image clarity, implementation speed, standard deviation, average gradient and average cross entropy.","PeriodicalId":220276,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130747643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method may enable us to realize dense 4-D ray-space reconstruction from 3-D multi-focus imaging sequences. Previously, we proposed a method of generating free viewpoint, iris and focus images directly from multi-focus imaging sequences with a 3-D convolution filter that expresses how the scene is defocused in the sequence. However, the cost of the spatial frequency analysis based on 3-D FFT is not inexpensive. In this paper, efficient reconstruction of free viewpoint images by dimension reduction and 2-D FFT is discussed. We show some experimental results by using synthetic images. Epipolar plane images are also reconstructed in order to estimate the disparity between generated free viewpoint images.","PeriodicalId":220276,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127864320","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The CVT method can estimate coherent signal source effectively. The CVT utilizes the internal relation of array receiving data to realize signal sources de-coherent. Compared with the classical spatial smoothing algorithms the proposed algorithm has higher estimation precision under the condition of the same phase. The reason is that the CVT method can realize de-coherent completely, but the spatial smoothing algorithms realize rank reconstruction only. The produce of rank reconstruction introduces cross- correlation noise into modified signal covariance matrix. But the CVT method can transform the signal covariance matrix of coherent source into diagonal matrix. Therefore, the CVT algorithm has some advantages of low computational load, better robustness and higher estimation precision than spatial smoothing algorithm. The theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the proposed method is effective.","PeriodicalId":220276,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133819944","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The spatially adaptive weighted possibilistic c-means (SAW-PCM) clustering algorithm is proposed in which spatial information is introduced into PCM approach to directly adjust the membership. The relationship between the neighboring pixels is described through Markov random fields (MRF). To preserve detail information in SAR images, the directional neighborhood system set is established. The selection of neighborhood systems is based on similarity measurement (SM) between wavelet energies of comprehensive result of steerable wavelet transform. Among the different neighborhood alternatives, the one with the highest SM value is chosen to compute the weight value.
