These non-differentiable points cannot be interpreted by usual classical calculus but it can be characterized by fractional calculus. In this paper we have applied fractional calculus to distinguish Left Ventricular Hypertrophic ECG from Normal ECG. To interpret the non-differentiable points we have calculated modified left and right Riemann-Liouville fractional derivatives, corresponding Phase Transition(P.T.) values (i.e. difference between left and right modified R-L fractional derivative), mean and standard deviation of the P.T. values at the non-differentiable points of the considerable ECG leads. From the study we observe that the P.T. values are higher for Left Ventricular Hypertrophy cases compared to the normal ones. In addition for LVH patients mean and standard deviation of the P.T. values of considerable ECG leads are higher than those for normal ECGs. This may be a new approach to study any ECG via fractional calculus.","PeriodicalId":219972,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116435697","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The model provides an alternative to traditional geostatistical approach. Geostatistical methods assume linear spatial correlation among sample values within a mineral deposit and characterizes various parameters of a mineral deposit. A Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) model, on the other hand, owing to its capability of capturing non-linearity of distribution of a sample space, is suggested to provide estimatesof the iron ore grade. Due to its dynamic training mechanism, RNN model additionally provides a fast and robust solution. Cross-validation of the RNN model has been carried out by comparing its resulting Fe grade outputs with the kriged estimated Fe values. The RNN model provides an improved technique forcogent grade modelling.","PeriodicalId":219972,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132088346","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So, this paper presents an instinctive and fast process for detection of blood vessels from fundus images. In this scheme the input image is primarily pre-processed by means of contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization (CLAHE) to enhance the blood vessels and then an optic disk removed image is obtained by subtracting the morphologically opened image and enhanced image. The blood vessels are then take out using ISODATA technique. To end a morphological cleaning action is applied to acquire the ultimate segmented image. The performance of the proposed method is assessed by means of three publicly offered DRIVE, STARE and CHASE_DB1 databases and attains average accuracies of 0.946, 0.949 and 0.948 on DRIVE, STARE and CHASE_DB1 databases respectively.","PeriodicalId":219972,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130223923","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The crane operator focusses on reducing the undesired oscillations developed during the crane movement and make the trolley location converge to desired position precisely. In this study, a self-tuning neuromorphic controller technique is used for online adaptive control of a non-linear crane-mass system by applying a linear quadratic regulator for controlling the trolley position and swing motion of the crane system with an ability to adapt itself with the varying parameters and external disturbances. To achieve this, a Generalized Adaptive Linear Element (GADALINE) Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is proposed that updates weight and bias states which subsequently minimizes the error function. Additional control can be achieved with the application of momentum term with the ADALINE model to diminish the zigzag effect in weight adjustment and to accelerate the convergence of the network. This added functionality provides robustness to deal with variation in parameters.","PeriodicalId":219972,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132734466","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the advancement of wireless communication technologies, the wireless networks are becoming integral part of our day to day life. Networks with wireless links meet various wireless losses due to bit error rate, host mobility, etc. But, any packet loss is interpreted as a congestion loss by TCP and inappropriate action is taken which degrades performance by reducing transmission rate. To differentiate the packet loss from congestion to non-congestion, this paper will focus on an algorithm which uses jitter ratio as a loss predictor. This algorithm will give better results than XJTCP(cross-layer jitter based transmission control protocol).","PeriodicalId":219972,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"94 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133191446","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In a real-world scenario, IoT based services improve the domestic environment and are used in various applications. Home automation based IoT is versatile and popular applications. In home automation, all home appliances are networked together and able to operate without human involvement. Home automation gives a significant change in humans life which gives smart operating of home appliances. This motivated us to develop a new solution which controls some home appliances like light, fan, door cartons, energy consumption, and level of the Gas cylinder using various sensors like LM35, IR sensors, LDR module, Node MCU ESP8266, and Arduino UNO. The proposed solution uses the sensor and detects the presence or absence of a human object in the housework accordingly. Our solution also provides information about the energy consumed by the house owner regularly in the form of message. Also, it checks, the level of gas in the gas cylinder if it reaches lesser than the threshold, it automatically books the gas and sends a reference number as a message to the house owner. The proposed solution is deployed and tested for various conditions. Finally, in this paper, the working model of our proposed solution is developed as a prototype and explained as a working model.","PeriodicalId":219972,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132337542","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The refined LST was derived by versatile LST retrieval algorithm using atmospheric correction parameters and improved land surface emissivity (LSE) model for two years i.e. 2005 and 2013. It was observed that LST increased at the rate of 1.05°C and significant differences in LST exist over different LULC units. Increase impervious land including barren land and settlement resulted in increase in the overall mean LST. This showed that rising LST is strongly correlated to LULC changes.","PeriodicalId":219972,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"297 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116253962","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It can support simultaneous users to access optical channels. 16 code keying encryption enhances received power, confidentiality and security of the OCDMA system. On increasing coding from 2 keying to 16 keying, power improves and trails will enhance which is possible due to the XOR gate and NRZ generator with CMUX. The successive improvement using 16 coding technique is because of 2m codewords. Because of the higher latency of XOR gate, MAI is also reduced. The confidentiality and the power improvement is the best in case of 16 code keying encryption.","PeriodicalId":219972,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"281 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123375661","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the railway signaling province, a railway interlocking is a computerized system that manages the railway signaling entities to permit a risk-free operation of the train traffic. Being a safety-critical system, the development of a railway interlocking systems follow several standards, such as CENELEC EN50126, EN50128, and IEC62279, which suggest the use of finite state machine inside the system modeling phase, and formal methods in verification, and validation phases. Often, they do verification and validation of railway interlocking tables physically and is thus fault-prone and expensive. So, within our research work, we used nuXmv as a modeling tool, and PyNuSMV as a verification tool, for verifying safety and liveness properties. As well, the reliability of the developed model has been validated by means of counterexamples and custom CTL model checking algorithm. We can also apply our developed model on real urban railway interlocking systems.","PeriodicalId":219972,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127298704","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The merit of bag-of-word representations is that they considering every term as a feature, while the downside of this is that the computation cost increases with the number of features and the representation of relations between documents and features. Semantic analysis can help in gaining an edge through document and term correlation in a concept space. However, most semantic analysis techniques have their own limitations when used for text categorization. In this work, a Concise Semantic Analysis (CSA) technique that extracts concepts from corpus and then interpret the document & word relationship in a given concept space is proposed. To improve the performance of CSA, a novel feature selection technique called the Modified hybrid union (MHU) was designed, which considerably reduced computation time and cost. To experimentally validate the proposed approach, MHU based CSA was applied to the problem of text categorization. Experiments performed on standard data sets like Reuters-21578 and WSDL-TC, show that the proposed CSA with MHU approach significantly improved performance in terms of execution time and categorization accuracy.","PeriodicalId":219972,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"162 11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129136427","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
