The proposed VMs migration technique migrate the VMs from the underutilized PMs to the energy efficient Physical Machines (PMs) at the cloud data center. Further, the multi-objective VMs migration technique not only reduces the power consumption of PMs and switches but also guarantees the quality of service by maintaining the SLA at the cloud data center. Our proposed VMs migration approach can find the good balance between three conflict objectives as compared to other algorithms. Further, the cloudsim based experimental results demonstrate the superiority of our proposed multi-objective VMs migration technique in terms of energy efficiency and also reduces the SLA violation over state-of-the-art VMs migration techniques such as Interquartile Range (IQR), and Random VMs migration techniques at the cloud data center.","PeriodicalId":219972,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131219545","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

E-Governance is an important pillar of Digital India. Broadly speaking, e-Governance is usage of information and communication technologies in interactions, transactions and operations of government processes. Government to Government (G2G) and Government to Employees (G2E) interactions are important ingredients of overall e-Governance paradigm. G2G and G2E entails various processes which are directly linked to information flow from employee/ functional body/entity to another employee/ functional body/entity and vice versa. Thus for implementation of G2G or G2E, workflow process automation is a sine qua non. ‘e-NAC’ approval system is a web based application software simulating workflow operations for activities performed by Need Aspect Committee of ISRO Satellite Centre. This software has helped in achieving faster turnaround time and quicker decision process and demonstrates implementation of software assisted collaborative decision making towards achieving larger goal of e-governance.","PeriodicalId":219972,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132202406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Edge devices such as the switch, router, gateway, mobile phones, smart car etc., are the candidates for deployment of fog nodes but the deployment differs according to the application. In this work, we have taken gateways as candidates for fog node deployment. The gateway collects data from smart sensors, but it does not have any pre-processing or decision-making capabilities. Therefore, the gateway is made smarter with Fog capabilities and named as Fog Smart Gateway (FSG). The processing of IoT traffic is taken care of by Virtual Machines (VMs) facilitated by distributed Fog nodes. We optimized the number of fog nodes for deployment to reduce the total latency induced by traffic aggregation and processing. Our results show that the optimal deployment of fog nodes in the IoT network could yield a reduction in latency compared to processing IoT data in a conventional cloud system.","PeriodicalId":219972,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129810839","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So it is the fundamental requirement to design a system which considers users interest in to account when putting content online. Many online websites such as Quora, GeeksforGeeks, and StackExchange have large scale of data in terms of questions and answers of users. Large-Scale datasets are available on these websites that can be mined and pre-processed using text classification and can be used to know users query regarding a particular topic. Information that is provided should be relevant to users interest. We propose a system that will take significant amount of data from a website and use that data for different approaches to predict the tag for the website Stack overflow posts and achieve a better accuracy for 1000 most frequent tags.","PeriodicalId":219972,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130192769","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Locating the critical slip surface associate with a minimum safety factor is a major concern in determining the stability analysis of earth slopes such as embankments, road-cut slope, excavation, dam, retaining walls, landfills, etc. It's become a difficult constrained global optimization problem due to the availability of discontinuous function and presented multiple local minima points in a large solution search space. Trial and error methods also can not employ due to large search space. Thus, classical techniques are incapable to estimate valid and optimal solution due to its high computational complexity. In this paper, a meta-heuristic approach called a gravitational search algorithm (GSA) is adopted for analyzing the factor of safety. From the quantitative evaluation and implementation result, it is reported that the GSA algorithm could acquire result more consistent with higher precision. The algorithm is examined by solving a benchmark study of the literature while, simulation design for geometry and slope model is validated using ‘slide a rock-science’ software tool.","PeriodicalId":219972,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114827901","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to achieve good recognition accuracy, precise segmentation is necessary. Segmentation algorithms for Hindi language mostly uses zone identification as a pre-segmentation stage. In the present work, we propose a character segmentation method that identifies the different zones of a word image and utilizes a fuzzy function for estimating the headline pixels and further uses the outer contour of the word along with the estimated headline pixels to segment the upper and lower modifiers, and meaningful constituent characters. The proposed method can be efficiently used in word images that have slight slant. We have delineated that this work can be effectively used to segment handwritten Hindi words in bank cheques for effective recognition. We have further experimented on a well-known dataset to show the efficacy of our proposed methodology.","PeriodicalId":219972,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"81 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125933858","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The simulation has been done in PSIM software. The harmonics that are injected because of the high frequency switching have been a major problem in induction heating applications. These harmonics can be reduced by the connection of a low pass filter between the ac supply and the induction heating equipment. The design should be in accordance with the harmonic standards that play a very crucial role in deciding the amount of current harmonics that is allowed to flow back to the supply side. In this present work, a Semi Active Filter has been proposed that has much better harmonic attenuation ability than the existing passive filters. The THD of input current has been compared to show that the former is able to maintain much better power quality than the latter. Moreover, both of them are also compared to the system without an LPF to show the necessity and importance of low pass filters in Induction Heating Equipment.","PeriodicalId":219972,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"297-301 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130803064","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The light is well confined in the center of the core of the proposed PCF at all telecommunication bands with a very low confinement loss in the order of 10−7. The proposed design has a core filled with a nematic liquid crystal (E7) that is highly flexibility with temperature. The effect of structure geometry and dispersion are investigated using hexagonal structure. The numerical result reveals that the design has negative dispersion at λ=2μm and zero dispersion from O-band to L-band. As the diameter of air hole in cladding increases, the dispersion changes upto −150ps/nm.km at wavelength 1μm. The proposed structure can be used in telecommunication and as a temperature sensor.","PeriodicalId":219972,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"32 4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132443828","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Some developers may repackage other's application (Free apps available in Android market) with their names or include various advertisements and add some malicious code to the apps and upload them to the application market for their profit. Similarly, attackers may also include malicious code into the original application in order to gain access the mobile devices to retrieve the personal information of the user, send SMS messages to premium rate numbers etc. Many detection methods have been used to find these repackaged applications available in various markets but they are not so effective to analyze the unknown applications. An efficient method is essential to reduce the number of features, decrease the classification error and the processing time. Repacked apps are identified by comparing the permissions of original and repacked apps. In this paper, a method is proposed to detect a repackaged application by using mutual information and chi square for selecting features and evaluating using random forest classifier. This paper proposes a controlled approach to achieving a constant voltage despite of change in load and supply voltage for a solar photovoltaic system based application. Modeling of the system is very essential before installation of the system, which produces an enhanced robust planning for the required load. It also helps to achieve the system reliability and robustness at the load center. For the control of nonlinearity present in the designed system, fuzzy logic technique plays a key role to achieve a desired behavior of controlled output voltage. Hence, the fuzzy logic control scheme has been implemented in the system with power electronics interfacing units to stabilize the output voltage at load side. For its effectiveness, result is examined and compared from open loop system.","PeriodicalId":219972,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124856467","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
