Need aspect approval system for procurement of components used for INDIAN satellite program

Government of India has embarked upon Digital India program-to provide government services electronically. E-Governance is an important pillar of Digital India. Broadly speaking, e-Governance is usage of information and communication technologies in interactions, transactions and operations of government processes. Government to Government (G2G) and Government to Employees (G2E) interactions are important ingredients of overall e-Governance paradigm. G2G and G2E entails various processes which are directly linked to information flow from employee/ functional body/entity to another employee/ functional body/entity and vice versa. Thus for implementation of G2G or G2E, workflow process automation is a sine qua non. ‘e-NAC’ approval system is a web based application software simulating workflow operations for activities performed by Need Aspect Committee of ISRO Satellite Centre. This software has helped in achieving faster turnaround time and quicker decision process and demonstrates implementation of software assisted collaborative decision making towards achieving larger goal of e-governance.
