This paper uses audio noise signal from NOISEX-92 (12 types). We determine the transfer functions from linear predictive coding (LPC) coefficient of noise signal on Bark scale and use K-NN technique to classify them. The results will be used for optimization of speech recognition model in the presence of noise. The highest average accuracy for audio noise classification is obtained when K=3 and median over 5 consecutive frames.","PeriodicalId":215340,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Symposium on Communications and Information Technologies","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131874942","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The features of the circuit are that: the pole frequency can be electronically controlled via the input bias current: the circuit description is very simple, consisting of merely single CCCDTA and single capacitor, without any matching condition constraint. Consequently, the proposed circuit is very appropriate to further develop into an integrated circuit. The PSPICE simulation results are depicted. The given results agree well with the theoretical anticipation. The power consumption is approximately 1.01 mW at plusmn 1.5 V power supply voltages. First, the pilot strategy to effectively shift multiple channels into non-overlapped regions is employed. Second, the proposed scheme estimates the channel parameters including the number of channel taps and multipath time delays via Hannan-Quinn (HQ) criterion. Third, with the help of the estimated channel parameters, channel impulse response can be estimated more accurately. A major contribution of the proposed scheme is that it enables robust performance, and is computationally more efficient compared with the previous counterparts. Finally, the expected results are verified through computer simulation.","PeriodicalId":215340,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Symposium on Communications and Information Technologies","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122346796","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Three years measurement of rainfall rate are presented. The experimental results indicate that the measured rainfall rate are 90mm/hr in 2005, 94 mm/hr in 2006 and 102 mm/hr in 2007. Moreover, we have developed new modify prediction model of rain attenuation by ITU-R rain attenuation model. The model provides for prediction of annual and for expected year to year variations. This model applied to collecte data compared with ITU-R model. In particular the model aims to achieve the twofold goal of i) determination of an original initiator of transmission, and ii) compensation of the interconnection costs. For that purpose, traffic is differentiated into two types, called native and stranger. In comparison to the existing financial settlement, under which the payments are based on the net traffic flows, the proposed model governs cost compensation according to the differentiated traffic flows. Besides, we describe a traffic management mechanism that supports the proposed traffic differentiation approach. Analytical studies were provided using Nash bargaining solution to investigate how the interconnection payments between providers depend on the presented approach.","PeriodicalId":215340,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Symposium on Communications and Information Technologies","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115204455","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Remote rural areas of Mongolia are not exception. This paper presents a pastureland ad hoc network to provide low cost communication services to those rural areas. The pastureland network serves two types of different user's areas which are categorized by node density and mobility of users; one is small settlement (Soum area) and the other is open areas settled by nomadic herders (Pastureland). Two main services - internet access and voice service are considered to be used. Each of them requires different destination patterns and session generation rate. Therefore, if either proactive or reactive routing is applied in pastureland network they will cause high control overhead. To overcome this advantage, we propose a hybrid routing method optimized to conditions of such a network. This hybrid method implements proactive routing to proxy nodes and depending on destination distance, it routes voice traffic through reactive path or hierarchical path. For selection of the hierarchical path and reactive path, SIP signaling is used. General analysis shows that our hybrid routing method has lower control overhead than the reactive routing in pastureland network environment.","PeriodicalId":215340,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Symposium on Communications and Information Technologies","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125860440","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
