Recently, PPM was applied to solve link prediction problem, e. g., predictive prefetching on the Web. Link completion is a link analysis problem and is almost identical to link prediction but harder and more general. This research applies PPM to impute the missing links in single (directed) graph-structured data model with node and link labels. The experiments use the co-authorship dataset for case-study. Our proposed algorithm not only uses original PPM forward method but also PPM backward and hybrid methods. The algorithm can predict any missing position at any position of a given query link. The experimental results show the prediction accuracy in several dimensions depending on the testing data.","PeriodicalId":215340,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Symposium on Communications and Information Technologies","volume":"79 7","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120856126","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to make small fuel cell, it is useful to improve the efficiency of electric-chemical reaction in separator of a fuel cell. Flow velocity distribution of gas like oxygen and hydrogen has important role for increasing efficiency of fuel cell. It is necessary to clarify the flow in separator. In this study, first validity of numerical analysis result is confirmed compared with experimental result. Flow velocity and pressure distributions for different shape of manifold are examined in detail by numerical analysis by using CFD (computational fluid dynamics) code. Effect of Reynolds number on flow velocity distribution is also made clear.","PeriodicalId":215340,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Symposium on Communications and Information Technologies","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130486505","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The speech extraction and the noise reduction are long-term questions which the communication system has not solved effectively all the while. In this paper, we propose an improved system solution based on the combination of the bone-conduction sensor, a digital signal processor contained denoising algorithms and an active noise reduction part. At the beginning, the bone-conduction sensor is used to gather the voice. Next, the collected noisy speech signal is enhanced with spectral subtraction algorithm. Then the enhanced signal is detected with the improved short-time energy voice activity detection algorithm based on the Mel frequency. Finally we employ the ANR technology in the receiver. We have designed a prototype system based on the wireless platform. The results of tests show that it achieves better progress in anti-noise performance.","PeriodicalId":215340,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Symposium on Communications and Information Technologies","volume":"139 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124241898","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
