In the case of the Faculty of Medicine, since the update of its Institutional Program of Integral Tutoring FM in 2018, it has sought to contribute to the integral training of students through four actions that implement the program: adaptation, study, academic performance and self-care. These axes have been worked through the\u0000modality of traditional academic tutoring, and through the implementation of two new modalities: peer tutoring (given by a student of more advanced years) and group tutoring (given by a teacher to a group). In addition, the program seeks to reduce the technology gap by providing wireless connectivity services and loaning computer equipment to those who do not have Access to them. Currently, there are 26 subjects called elective subjects online in the distance modality (MOLIMOD), attended by 46 advisors.\u0000The teacher evaluation is characterized by assessing the satisfaction of the students in the achievement of their learning, the performance of the teachers, their abilities, the use of psycho-pedagogical resources and learning strategies. The MOLIMOD advisors were evaluated from 2015 to 2022 through a questionnaire on the Moodle platform applied at the end of the course. Fajardo Dolci","doi":"10.22201/fm.24484865e.2023.66.4s.18","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.22201/fm.24484865e.2023.66.4s.18","url":null,"abstract":"One of the objectives of the UNAM School of Medicine is to offer its students the tools and preparation to advance in the command of the English language, which empowers them and allows them to interact in a greater number of contexts, besides covering the characteristics established in the profile of graduates of the Medical Doctor Degree.\u0000Due to this, the School of Medicine, through its General Secretariat, SUAyED and the English Program evaluated the existing programs for teaching English used until 2016. Based on these results, a plan was established in which new courses were designed following the level structure of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, which would allow the students to advance from level 0 to B2, that is, an upper intermediate level. The purpose of this work was to design an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) that will analyze the performance of students in the subject of Biomedical Informatics I at the Facultad de Medicina of the UNAM in order to estimate the probabilities of passing, failing, and dropping out.\u0000Materials and methods: A neural network was designed in Python, consisting of 3 fully connected layers, using performance information from approximately 2000 students in the Moodle platform for Biomedical Informatics I during 2019, 2020, and 2021 at the Facultad de Medicina of UNAM. The neural network was trained to estimate the probable performance of the students, executing 2500 epochs with a mean absolute error level of 0.0158. A kappa accuracy rate of 0.947 was obtained through a confusión matrix when classifying between passing and failing grades.
