Although interventions aimed at increasing in-hospital mobility have demonstrated their effectiveness under research conditions, their application in routine clinical practice remains limited due to reliance on additional resources that are unavailable in everyday clinical settings and insufficient consideration of barriers and facilitators. The INTOMOB project proposes an intervention targeting patients, medical and nursing staff, and the hospital environment, which does not require resources that are unavailable in routine practice. The main indications include Ménière's disease, superior semicircular canal dehiscence, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, and perilymphatic fistulas. Non-ablative interventions aim to control vertigo while preserving inner ear function. It can lead to conductive hearing loss, which may affect language development. Regular otologic and audiologic monitoring, tailored to the child's age and level of cooperation, is therefore necessary. Management relies on monitoring combined with supportive measures, including adjustments to the school environment. Depending on the functional impact of the hearing loss, tympanostomy tube insertion, conservative measures, or even hearing aids may be considered. Systematic integration of standardized functional assessments and Patient-Reported Outcome Measures facilitates early identification of patients' needs, promoting more personalized multidisciplinary approaches. This article reviews the rationale for longitudinal follow-up in head and neck cancer patients, its clinical relevance, actual recommended tools for functional assessment, and practical aspects of its implementation. Although continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) remains the first-line treatment for severe OSAS and for moderate OSAS associated with comorbidities, adherence often remains suboptimal. Custom-made mandibular advancement devices (MAD) therefore represent an attractive therapeutic alternative for patients with symptomatic mild to moderate OSAS. Generally better tolerated than CPAP, they are associated with better adherence.
