A 600-GHz-band high-speed imaging system using a polygon mirror is presented for this requirement. The polygon mirror of 250-Hz scanning frequency and the linear motion stage of 0.5-m/s speed are employed for the 2D imaging. The effective scanning aperture, maximum imaging speed and the spatial resolution are evaluated and optimized carefully in the proposed system. By using the $pm 2^{text {nd} }$ sideband modulation of DPMZM, the frequencies of RF signals are stretched. Since the frequency-to-time mapping (FTM) is a linear mapping, the mapped signal is time stretched equivalently. As a result, the frequency resolution is enhanced with the time stretching of the mapped signal, without increasing the $2^{text {nd} }$ dispersion value of the dispersive media used for FTM. The PRTFT of RF signals has been achieved experimentally within the frequency range of 2-32 GHz. The frequency resolution has been enhanced to 70MHz for the two-tone RF signals.","PeriodicalId":211328,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Topical Meeting on Microwave Photonics (MWP)","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126617006","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

PoF high-power laser instabilities are analysed and their impact is discussed for different link lengths and power levels. By introducing photonic polarization multiplexing, the intermediate frequency (IF) signal and the local oscillator (LO) signal are modulated onto the orthogonally polarized optical carriers. The optical signal is transmitted over a long fiber to the remote base station, and then divided into two parts through a polarization beam splitter (PBS) following a polarization controller (PC). After photodetection, the two outputs are served as the transmitted signal and the reference signal for self-interference cancellation, respectively. The frequency up-conversion for transmitting, and the self-interference cancellation with high cancellation depth over a wide bandwidth for receiving are both achieved in the optical domain simultaneously. The independent photonic system for self-interference cancellation is avoided, guaranteeing the simplicity of the remote base station. The experimental results show that the cancellation depths of 30 dB over a 1-GHz bandwidth, and 26 dB over a 2-GHz bandwidth are realized.","PeriodicalId":211328,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Topical Meeting on Microwave Photonics (MWP)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133896975","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
