Abstract
Acquisition speed is the key for industrial applications with a terahertz (THz) imaging technique. A 600-GHz-band high-speed imaging system using a polygon mirror is presented for this requirement. The polygon mirror of 250-Hz scanning frequency and the linear motion stage of 0.5-m/s speed are employed for the 2D imaging. The effective scanning aperture, maximum imaging speed and the spatial resolution are evaluated and optimized carefully in the proposed system. As a result, a 2D area of $120 \times 500 \mathrm{mm}^{2}$ can be imaged within one second, with a spatial resolution of $\sim 2 \mathrm{mm}$.
