{"title":"Research papers of Ukrainian Soviet students 1956—1960","authors":"L. Doiar","doi":"10.36273/2076-9555.2021.12(305).39-44","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.36273/2076-9555.2021.12(305).39-44","url":null,"abstract":"The presented article is devoted to the historical-Ukrainian issues of the second half of the 1950s. It is a period of de- Stalinization, which radically changed the socio-political life of the republic and made significant adjustments in all spheres of human activity. The author's interest was focused on the scientific field, namely, research papers prepared by Ukrainian Soviet students who received higher education during the Khrushchev \"thaw\". Several collections of student works published on the basis of various educational institutions of the Ukrainian SSR were processed by the method of content analysis. The geography of scientific achievements of Ukrainian Soviet students, without exaggeration, is great. Judging by the periodicals preserved in the Book Chamber of Ukraine, not only the capital's, but also regional universities and institutes had powerful bases for training future scientists. The article prepared by the author includes research works of students from Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Simferopol, etc. As for the palette of scientific interests of students of the USSR, the latter covered a variety of fields of technical and humanitarian knowledge. During the study of student research in Soviet Ukraine in the second half of the 1950s, the author came to the following conclusions: 1) the dominance of purely scientific content in the research of students of the USSR in 1956—1960; 2) low rate of use of party documents in them, in general, and the lack of references to the resolution of the Central Committee of the CPSU \"On overcoming the consequences of the cult of personality\", in particular; 3) the obvious priority of practical summarization over general theoretical considerations. Through individual memory to recreate the collective memory, which scientists consider as a set of individual memories, which is created by the individual taking into account the influences of society and a particular social group in the process of everyday communication. \u0000In world science, the question of what socio-historical values, knowledge, patterns of behavior, elements of folk art should be preserved and passed on to future generations to ensure effective development and to preserve social order. \u0000Collective memory is not only the main mechanism of cultural unity of the community, but also the mechanism of \"archiving\" the most important components of cultural and mystical experience and the spiritual world of the nation. Collective memory is a systemic factor in \"connecting\" the past to the present, an important tool for updating the history of the national community. {"title":"\"Communist of Ukraine\" magazine in the last year Khrushchev's \"thaw\"","authors":"L. Doiar","doi":"10.36273/2076-9555.2021.11(304).42-48","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.36273/2076-9555.2021.11(304).42-48","url":null,"abstract":"The presented article raises the issue of the board of the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union M. Khrushchev (1953—1964). The author's research is devoted to the last year of Khrushchev's stay. The era of Khrushchev's rule, which was easily called the \"thaw\" by the writer Ilya Ehrenburg, was marked by a large number of social changes. 1964 was no exception, which was the last in the political biography of M. Khrushchev. The source base for this study was the periodical of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine, the magazine \"Communist of Ukraine\", which is stored in the State Archives of the Book Chamber of Ukraine in the form of annual sets of notebooks. Based on the conceptual foundations of domestic historical science and applying the method of content analysis, the author studied the 1964 journals and commented on priority topics for that time, namely: the problem of the international communist movement in the context of aggravation of Soviet-Chinese relations; the question of the formation of the United Nations and the participation in this process of representatives of the Ukrainian SSR; the main aspects of the then industrial development of the USSR, in particular, the intensification of chemical, coal, iron ore, machine-building industries; development of innovative scientific directions and technologies — bionics, cybernetics, etc.; radical changes in the organization of agricultural production. Based on the elaborated general, the author analyzed the state and acceptance of the most resonant themes of humanitarian content, because 1964 was a jubilee year. It was then that the republic celebrated the 150th anniversary of the birth of T. Shevchenko, the 25th anniversary of the reunification of Western Ukrainian lands with Soviet Ukraine, the 20th anniversary of the liberation of the Ukrainian SSR from the Nazi occupiers. A sign of the times was more than a modest celebration of the 70th anniversary of the birth of M. Khrushchev, after all, announced at the twentieth Congress of the CPSU course to eradicate the cult of personality remained a \"sacred cow\" of the Khrushchev \"thaw\". This year, through the efforts of P. The author analyzes in which scientific fields the research of this phenomenon is carried out today: computer and engineering sciences, psychology, sociology, art history, culturology, pedagogy, social communications, design. In the article a brief overview of the main views on video games in these disciplines, which are put forward by foreign and Ukrainian scholars is provided, which also helps the author to gradually outline the state of research on video games in the world and Ukraine today. At the same time, the author has the opportunity to highlight exactly how and at what levels video games affect society, culture and people at the individual level. The author provides statistics collected from several international reports on the video game industry about the industry's income, age and gender of players, to outline the state of the video game industry in the world. The researcher attempts to define the concept of \"video game\" and the related concept of \"virtual reality\". The athor considers the methods of genre classification of video games, names the main genres of it: adventure, fighting, first-person shooter (FPS), platformer, puzzle, racing, retro, role-playing (RPG), simulator, sports, strategy, survival and horror, arcades, slasher, stealth, quest.
