However, a comprehensive understanding of its role in <i>non-hematopoietic</i> cells is lacking. Several tissue precursors express CD45, indicating its crucial role in tissue regeneration. These precursors would fall prey to the recent therapies involving CD45 as a target. CD45<sup>+</sup> double-positive tumor cells contribute to cancer progression, but whether CD45 is involved in the process needs to be investigated. Recently, we showed that aging induces CD45 expression in mesenchymal stromal cells and affects their differentiation potential. They offer groundbreaking new opportunities for the treatment of disease and injury. However, ATMP adoption requires adjustments to current clinical practices and frameworks. This study investigates the readiness of the Irish healthcare system to adopt licensed ATMPs. <b>Materials & methods:</b> Scoping review, guided by the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses - scoping review extension. Here, we demonstrate a combined experimental and computational approach to identify fit-for-purpose cell assays that can predict changes in cell proliferation, a critical biological response in cell expansion. <b>Materials & methods:</b> Jurkat cells were systematically injured using heat (45 ± 1°C). Cell viability was measured at 0 h and 24 h after treatment using assays for membrane integrity, metabolic function and apoptosis. All types of cells secrete EVs; however, the amount of EVs secreted by the cells varies under various physiological as well as pathological states. Several articles have reviewed the molecular composition and potential therapeutic applications of EVs. Likewise, the 'sorting signals' associated with specific macromolecules have also been identified, but how the signal transduction pathways prevailing in the parent cells alter the molecular profile of the EVs or the payload they carry has not been sufficiently reviewed. Several clinical trials of stem-cell based therapies are ongoing. We describe our experience of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell (BMSC) therapy in a patient with complete SCI in the chronic stage. <b>Case report:</b> A 25-year-old man with complete SCI at T6 level presented with paraplegia for 5 years. We transplanted autologous BMSCs intramedullary.
