However, the hysteresis characteristic limits the further improvement of positioning accuracy. Nowadays neural networks (NNs) have revolutionized progress in the identification and global linearization tasks, which makes it potential to employ deep learning in identifying hysteresis model of piezoceramic actuators in the linear frame. This paper aims at achieving the identification of the hysteresis model by means of NNs. Based on the Preisach model, datasets are obtained in Matlab. Identification of nonlinear coordinates is accomplished by the auto-encoder afterwards. As a result, weights of the various network branches are computed. Comparing the hysteresis model displacement output with the NNs reconstruction, it is found that the curves are basically consistent. The experimental results confirm the correctness of this method, which is of great significance for analysis and control of nonlinear systems.","PeriodicalId":208819,"journal":{"name":"2019 14th Symposium on Piezoelectrcity, Acoustic Waves and Device Applications (SPAWDA)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126665008","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Quartz resonator plays an important role in the modern electronic communication. AT-cut quartz resonators operating in thickness-shear (TS) mode are widely used in making piezoelectric resonator for its good frequency and temperature characteristics. The vibration can be better confined in the mesa-type quartz resonator. Mesa-type and inverted mesa-type quartz resonators are studied. The performance of the quartz resonator are sensitive to the geometry shape of the quartz plate and the electrode. The height of the mesa are the key to the optimization. Both energy trapping effect and frequency drift are considered to evaluate the performance of the quartz resonator. After comparation and optimization, the model of the double mesa-type quartz resonator with an optimal the height of the mesa is finally obtained. It has better performance beyond mesa-type and inverted mesa-type quartz resonators.","PeriodicalId":208819,"journal":{"name":"2019 14th Symposium on Piezoelectrcity, Acoustic Waves and Device Applications (SPAWDA)","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124517859","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With sophisticated processing techniques, thin films can be coated on surfaces of various substrates with relatively thin thickness and desired planner patterns to satisfy application needs. It is natural to be concerned with materials and physical properties of films, but there is no easy answer due to the complicated processing technology. In this study, we start with the vibration analysis of a cuboid sample coated with thin films on bothsides with the Rayleigh-Ritz method. With one displacement functions in the entire structure, strain and kinetic energies are calculated with the consideration of different material properties and sizes, providing the basis for the determination of unknown properties of materials through frequency solutions. By combining this analysis with the RUSpec technique, we can obtain the physical properties of the thin film layers based on the frequency variations. With the advantages of easeof use and simple sample preparation, this will be a simple and accurate method for the evaluation of physical properties of thin films.","PeriodicalId":208819,"journal":{"name":"2019 14th Symposium on Piezoelectrcity, Acoustic Waves and Device Applications (SPAWDA)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121976154","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
