Complete aortic dissection involves both the ascending and descending aorta, necessitating prompt diagnosis and intervention. We present a case report of a 65-year-old male with a complete aortic dissection and discuss the challenges and management strategies employed in his treatment. Case Presentation: A 75-year-old male with a history of hypertension presented to the emergency department with sudden-onset severe chest and back pain. Physical examination revealed unequal blood pressure readings in both arms, suggesting aortic involvement. Urgent computed tomography angiography (CTA) and TTE confirmed the diagnosis of a complete aortic dissection extending from the aortic root to the iliac arteries. The patient was promptly transferred to the operating room for surgical intervention. Discussion: The management of complete aortic dissection requires a multidisciplinary approach involving cardiovascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, and anesthesiologists. In this case, emergency surgery was performed to address the life-threatening condition. Aortic root replacement and ascending aorta repair were performed, followed by stent graft placement in the descending aorta to exclude the false lumen. Postoperative care involved close monitoring for potential complications such as renal dysfunction, paraplegia, and cardiac ischemia. Conclusion: Prompt diagnosis and appropriate surgical intervention are crucial in the management of complete aortic dissection. Collaboration among healthcare professionals is essential for optimizing patient outcomes. Further studies are warranted to assess long-term outcomes and identify strategies for preventing complications in patients with complete aortic dissection.","PeriodicalId":20848,"journal":{"name":"RA JOURNAL OF APPLIED RESEARCH","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135730917","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Heart manifestations include myocardial , valvular and conduction tissue abnormalities. Complete heart block is rare and results from a direct involvement of the conducting system with granulomas and subsequent fibrosis or extension of the inflammatory process. When symptomatic , it usually presents with lipothimia or syncope. In which case, the treatment of choice is a permanent pacemaker implantation that may complicate with thrombosis. Several hypotheses have been discussed : heart failure, atrial fibrillation, coagulopathie and the pacemaker lead itself may predispose to thrombosis. There are no established standard guidelines for determining the therapeutic course of action following the diagnosis of a clot attached to the cardiac device lead. Some researchers suggest that the decision should depend on the clot's size and the signs and symptoms exhibited by the patients.","PeriodicalId":20848,"journal":{"name":"RA JOURNAL OF APPLIED RESEARCH","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135804432","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is usually caused by high-energy trauma, such as falling from a height, or, in some cases, can also occur due to pathological fractures or repetitive trauma, such as running or jumping. Femoral column fractures can occure several complications, such as avascular necrosis (AVN), coxa vara, malunion, and osteonecrosis. Therefore, appropriate treatment is needed to reduce the risk of complications that may occur. Case Presentation: A 15 year old boy came to the emergency room with complaints of pain in base of his right thigh after falling while jumping over a tennis net with focus on his right leg. On examination, vital signs were normal, pain in the right groin had limited range of motion (ROM), and no other injuries or pain were found in his parts of the body. Then treatment was carried out using the closed reduction method and the installation of a spica cast without internal fixation. Conclusion: Although there is still a lot of controversy regarding the best time and method for administering therapy, determining the Delbet classification is very helpful as a consideration in choosing treatment and patient prognosis. In this case, treatment was given using close reduction and spica cast techniques with the consideration that anatomical reduction could be achieved.","PeriodicalId":20848,"journal":{"name":"RA JOURNAL OF APPLIED RESEARCH","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136061134","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The sample of the research included 67 industrial companies, which are listed publicly on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange in the 5-year period, starting from 2015 to 2019. The original regression model was combined with some control variables like size, debt, growth and earning volatility. The empirical outcomes show that two key features of dividend policy, dividend yield and dividend payout ratio, and share price volatility were significantly negatively correlated. Moreover, a positive correlation between share price volatility and earning volatility was found. Growth, size and debt are three factors that had negligible impact on changes in a firm’s share prices.","PeriodicalId":20848,"journal":{"name":"RA JOURNAL OF APPLIED RESEARCH","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86562770","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
