A traditional approach is to do a survey among urban mass, which would cost much time and money. In our opinion, a more suitable and effective approach is to do Web-based investigation which includes discovery, measurement, and monitoring. A framework including information retrieval, data mining, and area knowledge analysis is presented. Great efforts have been put to the urban mass panic measurement model in terms of over 10 indicators which have covered most relevant Web sites, consisting of portal, forums, BBS and other interactive Web sites. Experimental results are discussed at the end of the article.","PeriodicalId":208332,"journal":{"name":"2008 Fifth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115524085","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, based on the principle of fuzzy pattern recognition, a nonlinear programming model is established for integrating opponent players' different outcome preference evaluation values perceived by different experts without weight information. An iteration algorithm for solving the model is developed. Using the proposed model and its algorithm, not only the weight of each expert but also the integrated outcome preferences can be obtained easily. A numerical example is provided to illustrate the method.","PeriodicalId":208332,"journal":{"name":"2008 Fifth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122381379","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The k-anonymity method has attracted much attention of researchers. Quasi-identifier is a key concept in k-anonymity. The tuples whose quasi-identifiers have near effect on the sensitive attributes should be grouped to reduce information loss. The previous investigations ignored this point. This paper studies k-anonymity via clustering domain knowledge. The contributions include: (a) Constructing a weighted matrix based on domain knowledge and proposing measure methods. It carefully considers the effect between the quasi-identifiers and the sensitive attributes. (b) Developing a heuristic algorithm to achieve k-anonymity via clustering domain knowledge based on the measure methods. (c) Implementing the algorithm for privacy preservation, and (d) Experiments on real data demonstrate that the proposed k-anonymous methods decrease 30% information loss compared with basic k-anonymity.","PeriodicalId":208332,"journal":{"name":"2008 Fifth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122509432","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Fuzzy system has an ability of solving the reasoning uncertainty, and gets widely used in the context awareness based personalized recommender system. In this paper, we present a fuzzy reasoning model based on the Fuzzy Petri Net. The model considers the requirements of task fulfillment, user's preferences and QoS of the system. With difference from those existing recommender systems, we focus on the formalized modeling of fuzzy reasoning of the personalized recommendation. Through formalization of fuzzy reasoning, we propose an approach to construct a rule-based reasoning system. The feasibility of the proposed approach is validated by an example of the personalized recommender engine.","PeriodicalId":208332,"journal":{"name":"2008 Fifth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114504014","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The cooperation of the members in virtual enterprise will be implemented through the dynamic composition and execution of the services, which is workflow-oriented. Each service has its own policies for selection of the suitable services to achieve the cooperation and composition, which are described in WSPL and also registered into UDDI center as same as service description. In the policies, it defines the conditions for composition and cooperation, such as the accepted range of QoS with corresponding price charge, etc. The whole composition process will be executed through the interactions among multi agents, which include business analysis agent, service mapping agent and service allocation agent. Through such policy driven and multi-agent service composition, it can address win-win in the dynamically establishment of the workflow-oriented virtual enterprise.","PeriodicalId":208332,"journal":{"name":"2008 Fifth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117092253","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a filter solution, the algorithm can evaluate the weight of each feature by calculating the spatial coverage relations of features of instances with the same and different class labels in multidimensional data space. And the approach is simple to implement. This inspires us to investigate negotiation using case-based method in order to remember previous cases and reuse information and knowledge of that situation for new offers. Moreover, it can overcome two shortcomings in agent multi-issue negotiation researches. One is that there is a lack of the use of agent experiences. The other is that there is a lack of agent optimal offer strategy. To this end, a case-based agent multi-issue negotiation model is proposed. The emphasis of the paper is optimal offer generation based on cases and game theory. The novel similarity assessment method is proposed and failed cases are particularly mentioned. Simulation of prototype system demonstrates the effectiveness of the method.","PeriodicalId":208332,"journal":{"name":"2008 Fifth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128739916","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
