However, the current KNNS uses Euclidean distance to index dataset and retrieve the search object, which is not suitable for those applications. And existing centralized KNNS does not scale up to large volume of data because the response time is linearly increasing with the size of the searched file. In this paper, a distributed KNNS based angular similarity (DASKNNS) is proposed, which affords the distributed indexing structure to the performance of finding k-nearest neighbor of the search object. DASKNNS firstly proposes the distributed indexing structure (DAS-INDEX) based on angular similarity, which refers to the axis and a reference-line to organize the dataset into some shell-hyper-cone, and linearly stores them at each peer. Then it determines the object peer where the search object locates, makes a search hyper-cone which takes the line connecting the origin point and the search object as the axis, and determines those peers which intersect the hyper-cone. Finally those peers parallelly search the k-nearest neighbors of the search object. The experiment shows that the performance of AS-KNNS is superior to those other KNNS.","PeriodicalId":208332,"journal":{"name":"2008 Fifth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114967353","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By incorporating the chance-constrained programming (CCP) techniques, and mixed integer programming within an interval-parameter multi-stage stochastic programming framework, the model improves upon the interval-parameter multi-stage stochastic programming (IMSP) and can deal with uncertainties expressed as not only possibility and probabilities distributions but also as discrete intervals, and can incorporate pre-defined water policies directly into its optimization process. As same as Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model, fuzzy hyperbolic model (FHM) can be used to establish the model for certain unknown complex system. Furthermore, the main advantage of using FHM over T-S fuzzy model is that no premise structure identification is need and no completeness design of premise variables space is need. Also a FHM is a kind of valid global description and nonlinear model in nature. First, the fuzzy hyperbolic model (FHM) is proposed to represent the state-space model for certain nonlinear systems. Next, a nonlinear quadratic cost function is considered as a performance measurement of the closed-loop fuzzy system. Some sufficient conditions are provided for the construction of a fuzzy hyperbolic guaranteed cost controller via state feedback. These conditions are given in terms of the feasibility of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). A simulation example is provided to illustrate the design procedure of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":208332,"journal":{"name":"2008 Fifth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115086202","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So we present a novel approach which is a method of combination of LSA (latent semantic analysis) and FSVM (fuzzy support vector machine). In the process of data set building, we adopt LSA method to handle the problem which data sets lies in implicit semantic kindred words and yawp words. Meanwhile, the data sets will be decreased by using this method and it improves the training efficiency largely. Experimental results show that this method outperformed the SVM and Nave Byes filter algorithm in aspect of recall rate. In 3 kinds of methods, the function of combination of LSA and FSVM is better than otherpsilas and its ability of classification identifies is best among them. It takes advantage of shift invariance of dual-tree complex wavelet transform, non-Gaussian probability distribution for the wavelet coefficients and the statistical dependencies between a coefficient and its parent. So it can obtain higher SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) than common methods based on discrete wavelet transform. Some actual auto transmission vibration signals are analyzed, and the results show the effectiveness of the proposed method in monitoring and diagnosis of machine conditions, with the capability of early fault detection by extracting periodic impulses from auto transmission vibration signals.","PeriodicalId":208332,"journal":{"name":"2008 Fifth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery","volume":"46 23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117241150","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The contributions of fossil fuel, biofuel, and open burning are estimated as 35%, 50%, and 15%, respectively, in 2005. Spatial distribution of NMVOCs emission shows that emissions are obviously uneven by regions and combustion sources. There was a monotonic growth of NMVOCs emissions from combustion at 1.91 Tg in 1980 to 5.89 Tg in 2005, with notable discrepancy among emission from different sources. NMVOCs emissions from fossil fuel combustion increased six times, from 0.34 Tg in 1980 to 2.05 Tg in 2005. Meanwhile, emissions from biofuel burning increased 1.9 times, from 1.6 Tg to 2.3 Tg during the same period. However, emissions from biomass open burning fluctuated within a range of 0.9-1.0 Tg during the decade 1995 to 2005.","PeriodicalId":208332,"journal":{"name":"2008 Fifth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery","volume":"98 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124087082","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
