It is important to classify information products in circulation on the subject of COVID-19, to trace the path of statistical information in the field of medicine and health and to assess the reliability of information at the final address. Since we know the variety of parties that transmit, receive, process and benefit from statistical information, this process must be driven by one and the same ABSTRACT Among the streams of scientific and social information in the global information space in 2020-2021, information related to COVID-19 attracted special attention. On the one hand, these information products differed in type, since scientific information products, public opinion, expert opinions, political speeches, and statistical information were widely available on the social network. On the other hand, the reliability of the disseminated information product raises serious questions, which, on the one hand, can be aimed at disinformation. Given the complexity of this picture, in this article we will try to classify information products by COVID-19 and focus on the problem of the reliability of statistics in the field of medicine and health, which is of particular importance. In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, the civilization of the 21 st century has collapsed. As a result, people’s access to reliable information has dropped to an even lower level than ever before. The article is intended to classify circulating information products on the topic of COVID-19, to follow the path of statistical information in the field of medicine and health, and also to assess the reliability of information “at the last address.” Since we are aware of the diversity of parties who transmit, receive, process and benefit from statistical information, this process must be driven by one stakeholder. If we accept that the reliability of information is a conditional concept, then it is important to determine the criteria for evaluating information.","PeriodicalId":207626,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121471388","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Fourteen (14) types of fruits and vegetables were obtained from three randomly selected markets and examined using sedimentation and microscopy methods of the 406 samples examined, 79 (19.5%) were contaminated with at least one parasitic helminth out of the four species; Strongyloides stercoralis (51.9%); Fasciola sp (27.8%); A. lumbricoides (11.3%) and Hookworm (9.0%) observed. Vegetables were more contaminated (21.1%) than fruits (17.2%) while Lettuce, alongside onions, had the highest prevalence of contamination (34.5%) and Cabbage was the least contaminated (10.3%). Prevalence of helminthic contamination was related to various parameters such as market location, handling by vendors, source, etc. Samples gotten from Station Market were the most contaminated (22.1%) while Central Market (19.0%) and Monday Market (17.1%) had lower prevalence of contaminations. Fruits and vegetables collected from open market vendors who display them on sacks on the floor were more contaminated (19.8%) than those collected from grocery stores where they are displayed on aluminum trays (18.3%). The fruit and vegetable samples purchased directly from farmers within the markets were also more contaminated (20.0%) than those purchased from vendors (19.4%). However, there was no significant relationship between contamination and the source. The findings of this study are very vital for policy formation and implementation, both in Nigeria and anywhere else, in preventing transmission of helminths via fruits and vegetables, which may result in disastrous epidemic outbreaks in the future. It is therefore pertinent that fruit and vegetable farming, transportation, sale and consumption be monitored and regulated, to forestall the spread of pathogenic parasites contaminating this nutritional food.","PeriodicalId":207626,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131297153","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In an unimaginable way and at the lowest possible cost, let us imagine high-performance computers can the heads of pens and pins and let us imagine a fleet of medical nanorobots that we can inject into the blood or swallow them to treat blood clots tumors and incurable diseases [14-18]. ABSTRACT The effect of wireless devices and nano-network devices on health, as Internet devices negatively affect health, and the health implications of nanotechnology are the effects that result from the use of nanomaterials and devices and their impact on human health. As the field of nanotechnology is an emerging and new field, there is a great deal of debate regarding the impact of nanotechnology, whether it will benefit or pose risks to human health. Nanotechnology and its effects on health can be divided into two parts first, the possibility of nanotechnology to have medical applications to treat disease through certain innovations that can be used for this purpose, and secondly, the potential health risks resulting from exposure to nanomaterials. The health and safety risks of nano- and nano-electronic materials include the potential toxicity of different types of nanomaterials, as well as fire and dust explosion hazards. Given that nanotechnology is a recent discovery, the health and safety effects of exposure to these nanomaterials, and what levels of exposure may be acceptable, are topics of ongoing research. Among the potential dangers, inhalation exposure appears to be the most concerning, as animal studies show lung effects of some nanomaterials such as inflammation, fibrosis, and carcinogenesis. Skin contact, exposure by ingestion, and dust blast hazards are concerns.","PeriodicalId":207626,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133156554","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, studies have suggested peer education intervention as a cost-effective approach in raising awareness, improving knowledge and encouraging preventive behaviors against STIs. While women are particularly at risk of contracting STIs, those in the rural communities are at a greater risk of having them due to their low socio-economic status and high illiteracy level. In this study, we focused on an aspect of STI that have often been neglected in interventions: Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID). Specifically, the study examined the effectiveness of Peer group education intervention on awareness, knowledge and preventive behavioral intentions towards PID among women in rural communities. Methodology : A quasi-experimental research design was conducted on 338 women in both treatment and control communities. Results : the study found that peer education intervention was effective in raising awareness, improving knowledge and preventive behavioral intentions towards PID among women in rural communities. Conclusion : Because PID issues do not draw as much scholarly attention as other STIs in literature, there is a great need to begin to focus on the disease that is silently affecting a number of women of childbearing everywhere.","PeriodicalId":207626,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126011478","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the help of Equus of Franklin, Massachusetts, and Unidem of Silicon Valley, thin films of transparent and electrically conductive carbon nanotubes can be developed to replace indium tin oxide. These thin carbon nanotube films are stronger and mechanically more durable than indium tin oxide films, making them ideal for use in high-resolution, rigid touch screens and flexible displays. Water-based and printable carbon nanotube inks are also preferred in the production of such thin films to replace indium tin oxide. This makes thin nanotube films promising for use in the manufacture ABSTRACT Nano-electronics is an important application used in the applications of nano-technological devices, especially transistors. Although the term nanotechnology refers to the use of technology less than 100 nanometers in size, nano-electronics often refers to extremely small transistors, and thus the interactions within the atom and quantum mechanical properties are in need of more in-depth and intensive study. As a result, current transistors do not fall within the scope of this classification, even though these devices were manufactured using 45 nm and 32 nm technology. Nano-electronics is sometimes a controversial technology because the current candidates differ significantly from conventional transistors. Some of the new candidates include Molecular Generator/ Semiconductor Electronics, One-Dimensional Molecular Nanotubes/Nanowires as well as Advanced Molecular Electronics. Although all of these things carry a glimmer of hope for the future, they are still in the process of development and will not be used in the manufacture of anything soon.","PeriodicalId":207626,"journal":{"name":"Open Access Journal of Biomedical Science","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132649419","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
